It definitely sucks for innocent people.
It does take a lot of time to build cases, issue subpoenas, take depositions, though.

For JA, who cares? Whether she has a trial Monday or in 20 years, at least we know she is in prison and not free to be dating our friends/relatives.

Yeah but it remains really difficult for the family and loved ones when the matter is hanging over their heads. They need closure to be able to move on.

I hope LWOP , but I'm afraid it will be less. I do think she will play on her "celebrity" while in prison.

And Sheriff Joe will probably let her. He was the one who put on that Christmas singing contest, filmed it, and released it to the media. That disgusted me. IMO, Sheriff Joe is a media 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. I have not liked him for years, good thing I don't live in Arizona.

My ex-SIL was in his jail and on a chain gang. I really did not know her well and then my BIL divorced her but I would have loved to ask her questions about her time there.

If she actually HAD bruising, it was probably from some BDSM, not an angry Travis. IMO, Travis had red marks on his neck in the shower pics that could have been from something similar.

Jodi may have tried to LIE and say that the bruising was from being abused, but I call BS on that.

Often, hickies look like bruises. {I know what I'm talking about here:ashamed:}

That's true. It's tough to figure out how to streamline the process.

'O Holy Night by JA needs to be banned from the airwaves. When I hear it I instantly reach for the mute button or change the channel. Ugh.

Oh Holy Night was my favorite carol until now. Never will be able to hear it without picturing that video of JA singing it again. :banghead:

I just watched this at my desk and had tears streaming down my face. What an excellent documentary.
SO many similarities to that woman and JA.

Yes isn't it heartbreaking? Those parents lost their only son and grandson. That evil witch Shirley Turner was beyond belief. And yes so many things about her were what we now see in JA. There are monsters amongst us.

Speaking of bologna....

did anyone catch ole' NG talking to Sheriff Joe last night? He was talking about the bologna sandwiches, and then the 'brunch' menu popped up and showed the hoagie roll and pb, orange slices, ginger snaps....

NG was all in a twist about the ginger snaps, lol!:floorlaugh:

But I swear Sheriff Joe said NO TV, but that he was thinking about letting them watch Nancy's show and maybe the Cspan. (Nancy got all :blushing:)

Then that lady came on and said the prisoners have cable tv in the common room, including ESPN, etc.

:waitasec:

it sounded like the inmates have limited access to a few stations like weather channel and various congressional news....here's what he said from the NG transcript.....

So she hasn`t had much discipline, and she`s behaving herself. And I`m sure she doesn`t like it because, you know, our meals are, like, 25, 30 cents. And we take everything away, no 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, no television, which I`ll probably let her see your station, but there`s only...

GRACE: Thank you, Sheriff Joe!

ARPAIO: ... the Weather Channel, and the -- you know, the Congress type of situation. But she`s been good. I can`t put her on the female chain gang, we have the only one in history in the world, because she hasn`t been convicted. But if she was convicted and doing the time in a jail, she would be on the chain gang.

It was a very sad story for sure. It was also a VERY well made low-budget documentary. Something like that could only have been filmed and edited by someone who knew Andrew well.

Besides a gut-wrenching story, a wonderful piece of film making.

Wiping your nose AND eyes, right? lol
The whole time Jodi is being interviewed by Flores and is doing her "fake" crying, she doesn't have to wipe the whole time.
She was probably smiling when she had her head down thinking,

, "Wow, I'm good now!!!
He wanted tears, I'm giving him my best rendition."

Plus Jodi NEVER makes one of those scrunched up, ugly crying faces. Her face is always serene, as she delicately dabs her nose. Real crying is ugly, eyes all scrunched up, gasping, nose running profusely. Her crying is not realistic at all. Bad acting Jodi!

Absolutely heartbreaking. I want to adopt them as my grandparents.

Normally I am pretty good at math but this one escapes me unless Jodi use to keep her ex-boyfriends close. She went out with the guy she lived with for four years, the one that is going to testify she went out with for two years so essentially that makes six years ago unless her boyfriends run concurrent.

You know what I have a hard time with? How JA's family are able to sit in court and process all they hear with JA on those tapes and then see the pictures in evidence. I would not be able to sit there and act as if I'm waiting for my daughter to be called up for a parking violation. I'd be falling apart. jmo

I have thought from the time the trial began that there is something very "off" about JA's familie's reaction to what is being presented in the courtroom. Cold and callous IMO. Appears to have no emotion whatsoever. :waitasec:

Oh, I don't think I'd want to put her on a chain gang. She needs to be locked up tight. jmo

She met Travis in 2007 right?

Yeah but it remains really difficult for the family and loved ones when the matter is hanging over their heads. They need closure to be able to move on.

I've been busy nursing a sick cat and two new kittens and only caught some of the IS coverage today.

It bothered me a great deal when, in her interrogation with Flores, Jodi started going on and on about how Travis' death must have had a terrible impact on them. Concerning that, she mentioned that it was TEMPROARY!

That one little comment made me realize that Jodi has no concept of the impact of the death of a loved one has on those around him/her. Add to that a heinous, vicious, and cruel murder, and you have pain in those friends and family members.

For her, it was a temporary condition which would magically disappear as they moved on with their lives.

As for Jodi, she got over it pretty fast. Snap of a finger and she had already moved on... to Ryan.

September 2006- as far as I understand.

I really need to see a visual calendar to understand how things progressed. Will the jurors have a firm grasp on the timing of their relationship? There was a lot of distance in miles for a great part of it, which makes Jodi's obsession seem more senseless, IMO.

Yes, JA did mention in one of her statements that she was sad because SHE couldn't talk to him anymore. jmo
