The two items of hair color were purchased at the Salinas CA Walmart on June 3rd at 3:22PM. So that was after she had spent the night of June 2nd at her ex's (or whoever it was she stayed with).

I can't link, I just have a screen capture of part of the receipt.

Why didn't Juan point this out? I guess it would have cost $ to have a Walmart person come to AZ to testify that it was hair coloring bought at this store? But it proves she did it between 3:22PM and arriving at TA's house, which is WEIRD since she was en route.

Why did she buy TWO bottles of facial cleanser as well? Why wouldn't one be sufficient? Is there another use for facial cleanser than its obvious use?

I do not understand these gas purchases within minutes of each other. They are for amounts that would not fit into her car.

Am I reading something wrong? And the small kerosene can would not get her very far if she was using it for gas

She either had more gas cans or she was buying gas for another person

I imagine as a waitress she could make plenty in tips. Seriously.

But why put money into an account? Cash works everywhere.

So let's say she headed to Mesa from Pasadena at 8:46 PM on 6/3 (last receipt) ..what time would she arrive at Travis' house?

ETA - according to Google maps, it's about 6 hours from Pasadena CA to Mesa AZ, which would put her in Mesa around 3:00 am, give or take.

Why buy a small kerosene can?

Makes no sense unless a kerosene can is cheaper than a gas can. She does indicate she is frugal or at least thinks about the price of things by saying she got pants on sale even though they were on sale. I have done that thinking I will fit into them by dieting a bit. When it is the smaller sizes, the difference from one size to the next size lower is not that much.

Apparently 6 hours and 387 miles according to Mapquest, looks like she bulked up on gas in Pasadena.

Depends on when she stopped to dye her hair, or do you think it was already done by that point?

6 hours and 16 minutes according to a google search.

So funds would be available in her account to use her MasterCard/debit card and establish an alibi with receipts.

Her attempt to set up an alibi cooked her goose instead

Do they have film of her at any of these gas stations? That would determine when she stopped to color her hair.

Most people would be sound asleep at 3:00 am

ETA thinking that Travis would have been asleep.

Oh right - so let's say she Stopped for an hour to dye her hair; that would push her arrival back to 4:00 am which is when she said she arrived.

That gas thing really gets me. Juan went over the receipts, and was obviously getting at something beyond the fact that it was the same credit card number.
I wish he could have clarified for peeps like me, and possibly the jury. I have a bad felling that he's overestimating the jury's powers of deduction.

How would you ever sleep, after having to do what she had to do, I mean self-defense and all ?

For instance, Juan could have showed only the time and cc# without divulging what was purchased. And he certainly knew it was odd about the gas - but the DT didn't bring it up either??????????
Sorry - don't get it.
And that's fine - but for the jury not to get it is something else all together.

Aking, we know she liked a bargain, as she explained about the extra pair of too-small sweatpants she bought. :floorlaugh:

Maybe the facial cleanser was on 2-for-one sale.

I'm expecting the bits will all be woven together in closing statements. Unless he has witnesses to testify to specifics his hands are kind of tied until then.

Heres a couple of questions that are niggling at me.

When she says he is up on his computer when she gets there, watching some youtube videos, at this point that sounds to me that his computer is working fine. Then she says the next afternoon, when she gives him the CD (she said she had 3 of them to give Travis) of the photos of their Morman history tours, all of a sudden he is dealing with a virus. Could her CD have given TA's computer the virus?

Also, after telling this story of the failed attempts at looking at the pictures, she suddenly says that Travis was cleaning... and it distinctly sounded like the beginning of a sentence, with more to come... not a statement. I almost got the feeling that that was what Travis was actually doing either when she got there, or after they woke up.. like "I am cleaning now, so you can leave" type thing. Who wants to just sit around while someone else is cleaning. It stood out to me, and was very strange.

And when purchased for another person, that person gave her cash? Yet again, like the idea of gas put in containers.
