I think all those points were made.

I think so too. I believe Juan will tie it all up quite clearly in his closing arguments. What was proven and what was not proven. He will make things crystal clear for the jury, after he rips the defense case in chief to shreds.

Leslie's husband drove her to the rental car place? I missed that.

i missed that too. so did he drive her car back home or something????

The only receipt that shows extra containers is from Walmart where she bought one 5 gallon container. The amount of her gas purchases was more than her car and a 5 gallon container could hold. There may have been more purchases of gas containers that we're not aware of. It bugs me that she did the same thing after visiting Ryan though.

Rental guy was Leslie's husband, lady who testified last for the State and is a friend of JA.

Really? I totally missed that connection.

No receipts for 06/04 or 06/05 and no receipts for anything, not even gas, purchased anywhere near AZ, interesting.
She also didn't get very much to eat on the way for such a long road trip!!!

So funds would be available in her account to use her MasterCard/debit card and establish an alibi with receipts.

Her attempt to set up an alibi cooked her goose instead

Thanks. Can you tell I do not have a debit card? Some sleuth I am. At least others are in this millennium

Rental guy was Leslie's husband, lady who testified last for the State and is a friend of JA.
JA purchased 2, 3 gallon cans for fuel @ Walmart and could have had more in the trunk.
2 hair dyes could be because her hair is so long she may have required two. one bottle would cover someone with normal length hair.

Two facial cleaners, have no idea unless she was thinking about using them to remove blood stains. No sure it would work but they are cleaners. jmo

Leslie's husband drove her to the rental car place? I missed that.

I believe it was in Leslie's testimony.

i missed that too. so did he drive her car back home or something????

This is NOT true!!

Leslie's husband was mentioned in her testimony as sitting next to the defendant at a dinner in Utah on June 5th and asked her (defendant) what happened to her hand.

RE: JA's $800 cash via 3 deposits

I like the pawn shop idea too. I waited tables before and I don't know what they pay in Cali but in Texas it's only $2.13/hour bc they know you'll make tips. In a family style restaurant in a town of less than 8,000 people I don't find it likely she had all that cash in addition to the cash she was spending along the way. Perhaps she made a little more as a bartender, but still seems far fetched in that type of setting. Now if she worked as a cocktail waitress or bartended in a "club setting" I would find all that cash more likely. JMO

She also didn't get very much to eat on the way for such a long road trip!!!

I know when I'm nervous I don't eat much. Perhaps she had "pre-meditation anxiety"!!

I agree! But I got the feeling that Juan was not all that familiar with the receipts and had not looked into them in great detail. The thing that concerns me is there are several instances that sort of point to another person being with her.

-Rental car guy said there was a man with her when she rented car
-on her way to Mesa it looks like she purchased gas for two cars at the same time
- after Mesa it looks like she purchased gas for 2 cars at the same time
- she bought 2 facial cleaners and 2 hair dyes

That needs to be explained IMO. - not that it will make a difference whether she's found guilty, but if she had help disposing of evidence or whatever, that should be thoroughly investigated.
I'm sorry, but I don't see the purchase of 2 facial cleansers and 2 boxes of hair dye as pointing to a second person. She might just have needed that much for herself. She has a lot of hair, and maybe the facial cleanser was to clean up the blood afterwards.

Wonder if Martinez is saving a lot of evidence to write a book later. The prosecution sure did end abruptly. He is supposed to be pretty sharp. I hope he wasn't being over confident. Guess that's my skepticism. She is guilty. Period.

It's because he doesn't have to prove she did it - she already confessed. He only needs to present evidence that proves it was not self-defense (premeditation).

And according to HER story, she hadn't slept the night before either!!
I believe it was something like talking to Ryan till the we hours, and then she was somewhere at 5 something AM.

AH - I see a defense claim here. Sleep deprived!! haha

Jodi said she sleeps in her car all the time. I thought that was the story of why she was so late in getting to Ryan's?

Jodi Jodi Jodi, you're not as smart as you think you are. You will go down in infinity for the up close and personal way, she slaughtered Travis. The images of her most intimate places, are forever burned into our minds, and Jodi, much like Casey Anthony, have taught how not to leave any electronic footprints to follow, and get rid of the damn receipts

My daughter bought a second hand car after her divorce several years ago, and came to give me a drive. When I got in the backseat (her large dog sets up front) I saw brownish red stains, and blood splatter across the headliner and backseat. You could see where someone fell forwards and was bleeding out against the headrest. You could see where blood pooled in the floorboard.
I took some photos of it an I'm looking through memory cards to find then. They do look like kool aide stains. They told her a Dr.Pepper had exploded in the backseat. Their cell phone was not in service when we tried to call them back. I told my dd that the car had probably been totaled and sold at auction for a few quick bucks.

Thanks for posting this.

These are the two transactions that make no sense. Why not just deposit $400 into this account?

Because you were deciding what you were going to buy with cash and what you were going to buy with your debit card... and you decided you would need more for the debit card (to create the intentional paper trail).

Thanks, now I will have to check it out because for some reason I got the impression it was Leslie's husband that dropped her off. Have to go back and check.

Right here is Leslie's testimony regarding her husband (Mark) sitting next to the defendant at Chili's and asking about an injury to her hand.

I seem to recall it was stated by the defense she drove 2834 miles with the rental car. Does anyone know what she had to pay for extra mileage fees?

And who went with her when she returned the rental?
