The average hair color from a pharmacy like CVS or Walgreens or even Walmart takes no more than 30 min to change color. Going from blonde to brown is especially simple. The end result may not be the color one wanted, but it will be darker and it will only take 20 to 30 min. One can rinse hair out in a sink at any women's rest room stop. Doesn't require a shower, just requires water.

ETA: car rental guy testified JA's hair was blonde when she rented and brown when she returned the car.

I agree! But I got the feeling that Juan was not all that familiar with the receipts and had not looked into them in great detail. The thing that concerns me is there are several instances that sort of point to another person being with her.

-Rental car guy said there was a man with her when she rented car
-on her way to Mesa it looks like she purchased gas for two cars at the same time
- after Mesa it looks like she purchased gas for 2 cars at the same time
- she bought 2 facial cleaners and 2 hair dyes

That needs to be explained IMO. - not that it will make a difference whether she's found guilty, but if she had help disposing of evidence or whatever, that should be thoroughly investigated.

This is good sleuthing imo.:great:

I think the rental dude wasn't that sure about the guy/D with her.

The rest of your observations are outstanding.

Right here is Leslie's testimony regarding her husband (Mark) sitting next to the defendant at Chili's and asking about an injury to her hand.

http://youtu.be/XY5lvxGFgpU?t=26m25s

(Raphael Columbo is with Budget Rent A Car ... not the same person)

Help me out here. I just rewatched the whole testimony. She said her husbands name was Mark. At no time did she say he was the "rental guy". And I saw the rental guy testify and he never said he was married to Leslie. So where did this information come from?

Rental car guy said there was a man there when she rented the car but he didn't know if they were together. I remember that from the testimony. It was vague and didn't get any clearer. There is no evidence JA was traveling with anyone else and no evidence that she made purchases for anyone else. No one else was at the murder scene. Just JA and the victim.

Thanks for this summary! Curious, how do you tell the deposits were cash, I can't tell that it was??

Also, did they say explicitly in court that the purchase at Walmart included brown hair color?

They did not say in court what any of the purchases were other than fuel and a couple of food items. The tag for the hair color can be seen on the receipt itself. As far as the deposits being cash - I don't remember. I'll have to go back and look at the pictures. I dont think I just made that assumption though.

A poster is confused and posted something incorrect. Leslie's husband is *not* rental car guy. Leslie's husband sat next to Jodi at the restaurant they went to in UT and asked Jodi what happened to her hand since she had bandaids on a couple fingers.

Rental car guy is someone completely different and not related to Leslie in UT.

She was traveling in the middle of the night so I'm not sure people would have been keeping track of her. It just seems more likely to use a truck stop shower than to have done it at his house. He most likely never knew she was coming. Why would she tell him she needed to color her hair right then???
There are brands you can leave on for just 25 min. and she didn't need to style it, only dry.

I have brown hair and color the gray. I use Revlon Color Silk and it takes no more than ten minutes. My gray is very resistant but it could be done anywhere she had ten minutes to spend.

That's also why I started coloring. Grey is not attractive on brunettes.

I agree with you. However, a talented defense attorney can argue those things--or at least try to. Doesn't mean s/he will win the argument, but it's never in a person's best interest to agree to be interrogated by LE without legal council. I'm glad she did, don't get me wrong, but I personally would never do such a thing, innocent or no. Answer questions, yes. But if I had any involvement in a crime, no way.

I agree. I would not talk to LE unless I was 100% certain they were in no way implicating me/I knew who did it.

Watching Day 2 of the trial, JA's phone convo with Det. Flores is playing.
She is an idiot. I can't believe her verbal diarrhea.

I just listened to that too and had the exact same thought. He asks her a simple question about when she was last in Arizona and she goes off on the Travel Magazine review of "1000 Places to Visit Before You Die"

That is what I heard and understand too. Thanks.

What is happening in the court hearing tomorrow?

I resemble that remark! LOL I've been told that the grey in my hair is very attractive although I personally don't like it. I have decided however that I am going to live with it anyway.

Thank you Minor for doing this. I think it also proves that Jodi did in fact return to Yreka before heading to Lodi, Ca. Here's why: The trip from Yreka,CA to Redding,CA is 1 hour and 35 minutes. She paid for the rental at 8:04 am. If she had left Redding,CA and went straight to Lodi,CA the trip would take 3 hours and 33 minutes. She purchased something in Lodi,CA at 7:32 pm. There is about 8 hours unaccounted for between the time she rented the car and the time she purchased something in Lodi. Now, a round trip from Yreka to Redding would take 3 hours and 10 minutes. Then from Yreka to Lodi would take 5 hours and 3 minutes. There's the unaccounted 8 hours! Proof to me that Jodi did in fact travel back to Yreka before heading towards AZ.

Minor, can you put this list that you made in the thread for media, etc so that it is easier to locate later on? Please and thank you!

Yes, I'll clean it up a little before I do that. I was posting from my phone and couldnt format very well.

Also, listening to the testimony -- I don't think it was entirely clear that the purchase in Yreka at 5 am was necessarily "a.m." There was an assumption that it was military time and therefore "a.m." rather than "p.m." but the defense objected to the assumption

If she wanted to fool Travis's neighbors into thinking she was not blonde haired Jodi [ former flame ] wouldn't it have been much easier to simply wear a scarf or a turban or WIG going in and out of Travis's house? Instead of going to all the trouble of coloring her platinum hair?

But Jodi thinks she is smarter than everyone else, she isn't, and could get information out of Flores as to what they had on her. It ticks me off when I hear talking heads say how good of a liar and actor she is. In my opinion she is neither. Her lies are not good lies at all and she needs time to think of a lie before she can make one up. Her acting sucks because she has no clue how normal people behave, feel or think. It's easy to see through her and I wish they would stop making her out to be something that she isn't.

Granted, I'm not very girly, but it takes a professional at least an hour to color my hair, not including the drying and styling part. I can't imagine being able to do it in a rest stop in an hour, max, and be back on the road just like that. Especially covering up blond. It's just not that easy to do if your hair is naturally dark, ime. Not to mention that no one's said they saw her do it and there's no cctv of her entering anywhere as a blond and exiting as a brunette that I know of. Plus, it seems to me it would be pretty unusual for someone to color their hair in a truck stop shower. Unusual enough that someone would notice (I realize it's possible someone did notice and just doesn't know anything about the case or want to come forward)

Maybe she did it at Travis's house. There was plenty of time. You would think there would have been some evidence in the bath or trash, but maybe not and I haven't heard any testimony about what all they found in the trash or even if it was searched -- although I'm sure it was.

I am #91 outta the box! Takes 3 minutes to mix it up, 5minutes to apply )(agree she has two boxrs due to longer hair is possible) and 25 minutes time in hair, rinse and condition and go. More time to do hair dry and braids, but braids couuld have been done at his house so he could do the rodeo ride and have some reigns :floorlaugh:

I agree. I think JA is quite dumb - totally irrational and no criminal mastermind.

True, except that she may have also been trying to throw Mimi under the bus,and Jodi is a natural born brunette. We don't know if she planned on dyeing back to blonde or not. Maybe the second box of hair dye was blonde...

I agree and watching her on the tapes she appears immature and silly and- as someone else said days ago-just plain nuts.
