A poster is confused and posted something incorrect. Leslie's husband is *not* rental car guy. Leslie's husband sat next to Jodi at the restaurant they went to in UT and asked Jodi what happened to her hand since she had bandaids on a couple fingers.

Rental car guy is someone completely different and not related to Leslie in UT.

That was me and I misheard what was said. I may have even gotten the impression from NG, who knows. And I remember now the rental guy saying he wasn't sure the other man was with her. It's possible Jodi left her car parked nearby and was with no one. Was anyone with her when she dropped it off? Don't think we know that either.

As far as the time she arrived at TA's we only have her word she arrived at 4am. No one else saw her that we know of so she could have stopped to do her hair at some point and arrived much later. jmo

Whew, just got the grandboys to bed! Checking in, on photobucket, a user named "was thinking" has posted the pics of the shower, in sequence, and with the timed pauses between shots. Very effective. In addition, the same user has a shot of one of the Walmart Reciepts.......she. Bought 2 facial cleanser, 1 five gallon kerosene carboy (which is a container for kerosene, not kerosene itself......but you could put gas in it, and 2 items which end in 85BNS.......THAT'S hair color! Meaning #85 Brown. I was so excited I called a friend who's husband works in inventory at Wal mart and he did confirm that for me.

First post, :seeya: so I'm a little nervous...:blushing:
I also did some sleuthing on the Walmart receipt, and I didn't catch up on everything that's been said since the above post, so I hope I'm not too repetitive.

I couldn't quite make out the product description in the screenshot of the Walmart recipe, so I tried to figure out if the twelve digit code might reveal what JA bought that day.
Here's the screenshot of the receipt.

Now, according to this site, the 12-digit code is the UCP code.
There are sites that allow you to look up UCP codes, but most of them are based on data that users supply and are nowhere near complete. I found no matches to the exact 12 digits on the receipt, sadly. I even tried adding all the numbers between 0-9 to the end of the code, because one site I checked said that 13-digit UPC codes are common, but Walmart only prints the first 12 digits onto the receipts.
Still no hits. Then again, the receipt is from 2008, so maybe the product has been discontinued since then, or nobody entered that particular product into those databases so far.

However, apparently the first 6 digits of a UCP code identify the manufacturer.
When I typed those first 6 digits 007050 into the UCPmachine, it spit out a long, long list of Neutrogena products.
So, apparently JA truly bought some sort of cosmetics that day. Does anyone know if Neutrogena or an associated firm produce hair colour? I'm not in the US, so I'm not entirely sure if they do, here we don't have any Neutrogena hair colour.

Also, if spagrl checked with a Walmart employee, they surely know more about the product descriptions on their receipts, so in the end they're probably more reliable than my tossing numbers at an internet machine, but I thought I'd post what I had found out.

True, except that she may have also been trying to throw Mimi under the bus,and Jodi is a natural born brunette. We don't know if she planned on dyeing back to blonde or not. Maybe the second box of hair dye was blonde...

If I am not mistaken, someone found out that both boxes were brown. It is in this thread somewhere.

The talking heads are idiots. Obviously Jodi is no expert at anything and not a good actress or whatever. She was the first person *everyone* thought of and told police in terms of who would want to harm Travis, she didn't get away with anything, she's been in jail awaiting trial since July 2008, and she is facing the DP to boot. She lies a lot and some people choose to believe her lies, but that doesn't make her a good liar as much as it makes the ones who believe her super gullible and stupid.

LOL :floorlaugh: I'll keep that brand in mind if I need to start one day!

As we say in he south Blessed, bless your heart dear as it is not an if, it is a when! :blowkiss: Feria #91 for me, and boxes are so easy these days!

Welcome! Good first post and good sleuthing. I think Neutrogena is probably the Facial cleanser, since I think we determined already that it was Clairol Nice & Easy brand hair color she purchased or another Clairol one...

Jodi said she sleeps in her car all the time. I thought that was the story of why she was so late in getting to Ryan's?

Jodi Jodi Jodi, you're not as smart as you think you are......

that is really not a smart idea at all--sleeping in your --car especially if you are a woman alone. too bad some serial killer didn't abduct her & do her in...blech..

Welcome Here_now :Welcome1:

I think the Neutrogena may have been the facial cleaner. Not sure they make hair color? Maybe someone else would know.

That reminds me. I have to get my glass of wine tonight. I've already missed two nights.

Hey, can we fix her up with Scott Peterson or Joran VanDerSloot since Casey hasn't grabbed them??? I hear they're both single and available...

Edited to add, this is not AT ALL as tragic as Dear Zachary...but fascinating for those interested in personality disorders in particular sociopathy.

Thank you Katie...er i mean Vinnie...opps, I mean "The Beebs" for the reference to this documentary. I just finished watching Dear Zachary on Netflix. Despite the fact I have the worst headache ever from crying so hard, what a tragic, yet touching, film worth the tears!! The initial similarities between Jodi and Shirley were shocking!! Wonder if that's where Jodi got the idea to call after killing him?!?! CREEPY!!

So here is why I am not buying the theory that JA use a gun & knife to make it look like 2 people. She made up the 2 people story because Det. Flores suggested it to her.

I watched it the other night, too. Such a sad story. Makes you mad, too, that the system failed these poor people twice. jmo

I just listened to that too and had the exact same thought. He asks her a simple question about when she was last in Arizona and she goes off on the Travel Magazine review of "1000 Places to Visit Before You Die"

That reminded me so much of CA and her lengthy lies. Inability to answer a direct question without going into all this great detail and changing the subject is a sign of deception.

MOO

I think Lance Armstrong would be a perfect match. They could lie to each other from sun up to sun down.
