Didn't get JA get "friendly" with this Abe guy?
Sure I seen him do an interview on her?

Female witness in witness room? Who would that be? Possibly smarmy GS's fiance, or CH's wife?

  • #2,103
This guy is a flake, smiling and laughing during testimony.

He just released a book he wrote called "Charmed" He should have waited on the title... because there is NO charm about him!!!

  • #2,104
I'm guessing next witness will be Chris hughes; wife about the lying incident.

When they continue the cross, and potentially new witnesses tomorrow, that will usurp the defense case in chief. So that's a delay. Whatever. They should have just been straight with each other. This is BS. And I also feel this judge has a prosecution bias. Why allow direct when the defense is not prepared to cross, is not even aware of the witnesses context. That's not the only thing I have noticed, but can't think of the other examples off the top of my head.

I just think the trial ought to be fair. Better to be straight and avoid mistrial/appeal issues later.

Defense opened de door. It's about prosecutor misconduct charges from defense. The State was unaware of what GS was going to say. You can defend yourself if you have no idea what the charges are. I think Martinez handled it very well. jmo

Why do I assume I can have a 'real life' during a trial?! :furious: And who ARE these people in my house who insist on three meals per day, clean clothes and conversation with me?! :floorlaugh:

As I've read over the thread(s), I'm frustrated with all I've missed! Jodi and a married man?! MM? I'm sure there's lots more, but I can't think of them right now.:waitasec:

Also, a quick note: watching HLN replays this morning of Detective Flores' recorded conversations with JA, it is interesting & creepy how she LOVES to insert chatty little details that illustrate "how important she was to Travis". For example, in regards to his purchasing the camera, the detective asked if she helped TA, and she expounds, in several ways, how SHE helped him choose the camera. Instead of just saying, "Yes, I helped him."

I wonder if I have enough time to go back and read all the threads from the beginning...could you guys stop the conversation here and wait for me? ;)

P.s. Nice to be back!:seeya:

Who would be a female on the defense witness list that Nurmi would want to testify tomorrow? Anyone have any ideas? I thought the only two female witness's were the DV expert and the Sex Abuse expert?!
Lisa. Travis' ex-girlfriend who Nurmi was so bothered about the last day of court. He didn't have her current contact info. Prosecution was ordered to provide defense with those details.

If it's the same Lisa...she's married now so I'm assuming a different last name.

My guess would be Sky Hughes, since she is the one Chris said he heard about Gus being a witness for the defense from.

I am thinking Lisa Andrews, she has a married name now, begins with a D, I think. Wow, JM just handed the defenses a** to them though!

It's going to delay the defense by 15 minutes tomorrow morning. And they'll take time tomorrow afternoon to finish. have you noticed they do not seem to be in any particular hurry in Arizona?

I think it was underhanded for the defense to file their motion under seal and I can't imagine why that was even allowed. OBVIOUSLY the prosecution is going to be entitled to present evidence and testimony in response to the motion, so it was ridiculous for the defense to think they could run this through without opposition by filing it under seal.

Bumping for those of us just joining or can't get it live

Thank you, but I don't understand how this adds up to prosecutorial misconduct. :waitasec:

Yup! He's the guy who asked Jodi about her Magic Underwear.

Actually I think it favours the defense to have more time to work on cross.

Maybe. But why would the defense call her? Presumably she'd back up her husband's account.

Hi guys and gals! I took a break while court was on recess. Hope everyone is well.

This guy is a slime ball. I have the willies. Eeww.

Listening to this guy was up there close to the viewing the 'batwings' day. I need a shower to wash the ick off after watching that Gus guy!! Ewwwww!

  • #2,117
No kidding! Who's the female witness "in the witness room"?

Dang if I don't have to go to work...arrrgh

Do you have plans to attend trial again? Are you feeling it out to see if she dares to take the stand?

He just released a book he wrote called "Charmed" He should have waited on the title... because there is NO charm about him!!!

Saw is video and it appears he feels he is under a cloak of protection from outside forces. Very sure of himself, ego inflated like a balloon. I think Juan is the needle that will deflate that for good......from what I'm hearing, that is. jmo

Juan was on fire today! And who could blame him. Looks like the defense was taken in by that smarmy, smirking Searcy. Someone should have smacked that smirk off his face, althought I think the prosecutor might have when letting Searcy know what his colleagues think of him (center of attention, etc.).

Should the defense have been informed that the prosecutor was going to present witnesses in his defense? Why would the defense think Martinez wouldn't?

Is it me, but I think I saw Nurmi get a little flushed in the face when Hughes called him a liar!

The underwear aren't magic, "but there is magic in them". :floorlaugh:

Looks like yer magik exploded in thar, Jodi.
