If Gus was trying to contact the DA "lots of times", what was he trying to contact them about? I wonder. And I wonder why they didn't call him back.

Do we know the back story on this?

Ugh rewatching him still sitting there smiling and smirking with his big fat gold ring and gold salesman brooch. :slap:
He was trying to insert himself into this case (it was nauseating watching Jose Baez comment on it on Dr. Drew), and according to Chris Hughes and Abe Abdelhadi, when Juan didn't call him back, he got insulted, angry/depressed and contacted the Defense Team, claiming his info. could either "hurt or free Jodi".

After watching all of Insession, I finally understood what today's hearing was about and according to Beth Karas, it doesn't seem to matter that Chris Hughes found out right away from his wife that Gus Searcy was to testify, called him, or watched TV. There was no prosecutorial misconduct. Juan hadn't contacted Chris and Chris didn't guide Gus's testimony. I thought Gus was a real sleaze- constantly grinning (he reminded me of Gollum in Lord of the Rings/the Hobbit). Gus lost the credibility battle to Chris Hughes, IMO.:twocents:
Juan was a masterful pitbull. Hope her gets to rip Jodi to shreds!

I hope he speaks to her on the same cold detached monotone voice she uses.... The detective was skilled at being monotone. Psychopaths have difficulty when there are no clues to gauge others reactions....

If he takes the same tone with her that he took today with Gus... Someone on that jury will feel she's being bullied.

Do we really know JA did not date anyone after TA? There was that married man who spent 2 hours in the car with her and wanted to leave his wife. Bet that wife is getting roses every night since this trial began and is still trying to figure out why. lol

Be a lamby and tell Anita where you got this info? :please:

Was Beaver his girlfriend from Florida?

No, that was Money.

Beaver was the postal worker neighbor who saw the two people, in the vehicle, in the driveway.

I also think Gus Searcy is a sleaze..but he did not get to be the $100,000. Ring Earner by himself. Seems he motivated a lot of people to sign up for PPL/Legal Shield under him. That's how he got his ring. IMO, Chris Hughes did not win the "credibility battle". They both work for the same MLM. They both run their mouths off too much. IMHO.

Wasn't there much talk about Travis never locking the doors?

She's tiny, but I can't imagine her crawling through that. Unless... She shed her human form and slithered through as the monster she really is.

OOH OOH, I can vouch for this Linda.

We have a doggy door the same kind and size as Travis. We have a sweet neighbor girl who is a sophomore in high school and is slightly special. She loves our dog Pudge, like he is her own (she loves all of the neighborhood dogs for that matter).

She dog walks and pet sits for us when we are on short trips. She is also legally blind (I realize how silly this is sounding).

Anyway, one time when we were gone for a week when we came home, all was well, but when I asked her for the key to our house back she admitted it had flown out of her hand in our yard and she was never able to see it, to find it!

Her family came to help her look for it but they weren't able to find it.

Poor kid, she was so nervous. When I asked her how she had gotten in and out of the house she said, "the doggy door."

I could hardly believe it. This girl is about 5'6", very nice figure but muscular and with very broad shoulders.

She still to this day will sometimes come in through our doggy door! She is friends with our children too, and its sort of a joke.

I think so, too. I did make a comment about defense's loud ties the other day and today his tie was very nice. Suited him, not like the others. He looked more professional today. I do like Juan's choices also. lol

And: JA & the female attorney were matching in color every day until some WSers mocked it, and suddenly that stopped occurring.

And: why do we always seem to have more guests than members in these threads? I wonder who is willing to read all this without participating in the convo? Yes, you, guests! How can you resist? Jump in! :seeya:

So what is PPL, because I've yet to see a video of them trying to sell anything! That video (proposal) just grossed me out. Nothing like a little privacy, eh?

Pre paid legal is just what you'd imagine it to be. You prepay for the day you need legal representation. Though my guess is that you're probably better off with legalzoom.com or some other website.

As a recent highschool grad, I worked for a "prearranged funeral plan". I was a telemarketer, setting up calls for the salespeople. Unfortunately I have a morbid sense of humor and a habit of laughing hysterically at inappropriate times. Needless to say, "prearranged funeral plans" wasn't MY ticket to Cancun dreams and Las Vegas wishes! ;)

I so agree with you. I really think the jury puts themselves in the witnesses shoes and they feel the PA is grilling them too. This is because both the jurors and the witnesses are being "dragged" into the courtroom not of their own chosing, except for the paid witnesses.

I just think it is unecessary and is detrimental. The PA can accomplish what he needs to in a nice manner. He can get stern, but going overboard can only hurt his case IMO.

The belief is the area on the rug is where she cut his throat. This is backed up by the picture of her dragging him back through the hallway as you can see the blood streaming down his shoulder. I saw the video of when the goalie had his throat cut with a player's skate and the blood pouring out of his neck looked just like Travis' picture. This player could still move. I believe the ME stated the shot to the head would have rendered Travis unable to lift his arms, not the cut to the throat. I believe, too, what the ME said about the bleeding from the throat is that blood would drain from his head and he would lose consciousness in a very short time. jmo
When Malarchuk had his throat cut, it was the jugular that was affected. This is a vein, which transports deoxygenated blood back to the heart so it can get re-oxygenated in the lungs. Since it was "only" a vein that was cut, he still maintained a decent blood pressure to the brain and was still receiving oxygenated blood to the brain.

When the carotid artery is bilaterally severed, there will be a sharp decreased in blood pressure because... well... there is no blood flowing to the brain anymore. This will lead to an almost automatic syncope (fainting/unconsciousness), as part of the body's attempt to regain homeostasis. This is the same reason some people faint if they stand up too fast (orthostatic syncope).

The two incidents aren't really comparable.
