Yep, he really showed how the witness "sidesteps" certain words/phrases in an effort to paint a 'prettier' picture of the same portrait.

Yes.

Also, I can't keep up with all the posts, so forgive me if someone has already mentioned this, but I think he was also letting JA see how she'll get treated if she gives vague answers to direct questions. I agree with others that his demeanor is strong, but Jodie can't be liking that.

I don't care what Nurmi has up his sleeve, his technique is so freaking bad that there is no way that Jodie is going to help herself under his questioning.

MOO y'all.

Someone who knows them both (male) on one of the shows I watched yesterday said he had no doubt Jodi and Gus had had a physical relationship at one point- anyone else see this? Typing from under the dryer lol

If true, it's proof that that woman has NO standards!

I've been waiting for the list of the 696 women Gus allegedly "dated" before romantically proposing to Miss Lucky Employee of the Year. Wondering if Miss Three Hole Wonder is on it. :floorlaugh:

It wouldn't surprise me if they did.
Um if you put the clothes in the dryer they will dry much quicker then if you put them under it. :)

:floorlaugh:

I've never been known for doing things the easy way lmao

There are a lot of people that get sucked into MLM companies with good intentions. Part of the way these companies work is to make sure the underlings see all the glitz and displays of wealth etc.

To liken being invited to a PPL banquet to being invited to the white house is :banghead: but people get sucked in.

I know somebody that is at the top of a division in a MLM skin care company. I always see Facebook posts from her about $100,000 earners coming over to do motivational speaking.

Honestly, I see nothing wrong with MLM companies. There are suckers born every minute, someone should reep... As long as they keep it legal.

Do we know if he married the woman he proposed to at the meeting/convention/brainwashing?

Haha. I bet prosecutor is not objecting to relevance to let the defense witness irritate the judge.

Oh wait - are we in the defense case in chief now?

BBM

And possibly the jury. IMHO :)

I thought it was just brought up when they were discussing who Jodi "worked" under.

Which one that she "worked under". Seems to me there were several. :floorlaugh:

Does anyone else feel Juan should have used this witness to ask questions such has had he ever seen bruises on her or ever see Travis raise his voice with her ?
Since she is claiming self defense just feel Juan should have used this witness to discredit her claim. JMO

TY for the bolded quote in context about CH.
It seems like such a brief, obscure mention of CH for a juror to ask the question about him.
What do you think?

I think its an excellent question, why was Gus mentoring Jodi while Chris never mentored any of Gus' people.

Damn, I missed sideshow Gus and his act of sleaze. Man Oh man I've seen men like this. They are always on the edge of a pretty woman. Trying to showoff like a little banty roosters, crowing and patting themselves on the back.

I wonder if the "help thing" for Jodi is him, and the hurt is if you don't......

I've noticed that someone has "softened" the appearance of Jodi's mom and aunt. Not as rough looking.

Its fine to speak for Alexander, however in my experience prosecutors and defense attorneys with attitudes do not often sit well with jurors.

The jurors are smart enough to know that when you are asked a Yes or No question, you don't turn around and ask the PA a question. You answer Yes or No. When you are asked about a triangle, you don't make it a circle. MOO

I wonder why the Defense didn't enter the picture of Jodi wearing the PPL ring into evidence? Especially if it was Gus's or Travis's ring she was wearing.

What time are we back on, people? I can't believe it's a two hour lunch.

My impression was the point the juror was coming to in their mind was does CH seek to 'mentor/help' people that are not underneath him, or in his group- so to speak. Making it clear that what Mr Gus Searcy was doing wasn't what other ring wearers were doing. Gus was helping JA who was not a direct underling to Gus... if CH also did things like this it may be normal. But it appears this isn't the normal thing. Does that make sense?

Do we have any ideas about the next witness?

Seems Gus was extremely interested in some "personal mentoring" with Jodi.

Problem is, GS knows the prosecuton wants truthful information and GS isn't going to be truthful because he was angry with the PT before he testified because they never returned his calls. He wants attention. He is not interested in justice for Travis or for Jodi. It's all about him. I can see that and I think the jury did too.

exactly

and why was he giving her phones and letting her stay in his trailer?

(I would have asked the question too as the State has already shown her trying to latch on to other PPL people other than Travis)
