Its fine to speak for Alexander, however in my experience prosecutors and defense attorneys with attitudes do not often sit well with jurors.

That is true as well. It certainly was the case for Jeff Ashton. Jeff didn't have an attitude, at least I didn't think so, but he certainly was highly intelligent and I believe he went way over that particular jury's head. And as such, the Pinellas 12 resented the hell out of it. And they fell hook line and sinker for the smarmy way of Baez with his fake daily "good morning" stuff ...

I have a feeling Juan will tone it down with other witnesses. He had to push this witness to get him to show his true personality and how quickly he could remove this fake persona.

I think Gus was there to say what he heard Travis say when he called Jodi. But it was shut down. He was starting to say how when in the motorhome, they were close and he could hear... and thats when it went too 'please approach'.

I think they will have to call Jodi if they want alot of this info in ;-)

I've never received a phone from someone I met only 3 or 4 times.

I just woke up. Can someone summarize what this guy is claiming? TIA

In the geometric world of Mr. Gus, a pyramid is NOT a triangle, but a circle.

I think. :waitasec:

Yes but sadly its not about what you like. Its about how it comes off to the jury. If the defense were doing the same thing people would be complaining. Its not professional IMHO. If a DA can't get his point across with comming off as a <redacted> than he or she needs to find a new line of work.

As Nurse said, he has a great track record. Including death penalty cases.

Sure as heck don't forget the points the prosecutor makes. He gets to the facts and the point. Can't say the same for the defense.

Its his style and I like it.

He is passionate when he knows he is the only voice Travis has.

Good point, o-blueeyes, thanks for reminding us!

I admit, I am tired already. Whew! Not saying I don't like it -- not at all. I'm just trying to hang on to my seat...

I don't get it. At all. I'm sure the DT has a purpose, so I guess I'm slow here, but could someone please tell me what the point of all of this GS stuff was, other than for my amusement? TIA.

So is the sum total of this that Jodi wore long sleeves and turtlenecks???????

  • #591
they have a question for the witness..

  • #592
it was approprate for the weather at the time, but didnt he just say that he couldnt remember WHEN in ANY of the meetings up with JA????? So how would he know that??????????????????

  • #593
Magically he can remember the weather from 5 years ago.

  • #594
Jurors must think Gus has more importance in this trial from the way Prosecution came on so strong, as though threatened by this witness. Was all that bluster necessary?

  • #595
Wow Jodi always wore turtlenecks and long sleeves? I don't think so.

  • #596
So... She just met Gus .... How did it come to pass she ended up sleeping in his motor home?

If you recall Ashton got yelled at more than once for making faces and laughing when Baez made comments. After the trial some of the jurors said they were put off by that.
