You may like the Canadian system where we have no trials that are broadcast.

Personally I don't like it. If you can see it in person at the courthouse you should be able to see a broadcast.

I think that most trials are more for the benefit of the defendant and the victims, rather than for the entertainment of the public. However, in this case, I would think it might be the opposite...

i wouldn't want my children hassled by people about my knowing her.....I wouldn't want to be hassled either! Any witness can choose this option in this state on EITHER side....it isn't a big deal and it has happened in other cases. he had nothing to do with Jodi's actions....so I don't see any reason to rag on him. Jodi likely didn't show her ugly side during their relationship so he is merely a (weak) character witness.
