So, do you think it's possible that the last two witnesses might appear to be "on Jodie's side" because of the death penalty being on the table? Maybe it has nothing to do with her, but with their religious beliefs...unless Mormans don't count the death penalty as murder.

Can a Morman weigh in?

Not sure if this answers your question but Travis' sister is Mormon (married in the temple) and wants to watch the defendant die.

Or maybe they were both Travis's friends (so I'm not sure why they'd be biased towards Arias), and answered testimony honestly and to the best of their ability? It was how many years ago? The girl was 13 at the time? People don't recall everything. There doesn't have to be a grand conspiracy because a couple of witnesses provided some highly circumstantial testimony barely even in favor of the defense.

Unfortunately, I think they are headed toward pedophilia.

I sure the evidence of that will be just as lame....

And temple worthy missonaries (who are not married as well).

I know by growing up in the LDS religion that little girls and young teen (in good standing with the church) do not wear bikinis, sleeveless tops, low cut/short/or midriff anything. . . .. it is HIGHLY frowned upon and you will be singled out and asked to change your clothing or not wear that again.

Even non-mormon teens at a Stake Dance when my youngest was in high school were ushered into an anteroom at the church and offered "conservative clothing" to change into if they wished to stay at the dance. Her best friend walked out after refusing to dress in an "old lady maxi skirt".

Your post indicated that young women wear garments, when they do not. I was only clearing that part up. As well, there must be a lot of discretion in wearing bikinis, sleeveless tops, etc. because I had a college roommate who was very much Mormon and wore all of these things. Also, my husband grew up as a Mormon and his sister wore all of the above. But, the Garments are not worn by young women.

According to http://www.mormonnewsroom.org/ldsnewsroom/eng/public-issues/capital-punishment

they believe :

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints regards the question of whether and in what circumstances the state should impose capital punishment as a matter to be decided solely by the prescribed processes of civil law. We neither promote nor oppose capital punishment.

I suppose they are like any other faith... some of them are for it, some are not.

If I were on the stand and I were going to perjure myself anyway, I'd probably recall an over-the-top comment supporting the side I'm supposedly biased against.
