Day 2 of the Defence Case-in-chief
AFTERNOON TESTIMONY
CONTINUATION OF LISA ANDREWS TESTIMONY
CROSS EXAMINATION--Martinex starts by asking the judge if he could approach.
--Jury is sent out of the courtroom and the live feed is turned off.
--Jury returns
--Martinez asking about the "strange things" that were happening.
--The door to the house Lisa was living in had a security system that rang when the door opened.
--The alarm went off and the door was unlocked.
--Lisa asked Travis to spend the night and Travis did, he spent the night with Lisa because of the incident. At no time did he touch Lisa sexually including her rear end.
--On another day Lisa was at Travis' house and this was around the time of their third breakup. Lisa was in the kitchen with Travis. Somebody came into the house unannounced. It was Jodi. Lisa identifies Jodi in the courtroom.
--Jodi came in through the front door, when she saw Lisa and Travis in the kitchen, Jodi ran out of the house.
--re: email from 2007, from Lisa to Travis, she referenced kissing. During the beginning of the relationship Lisa told Travis to kiss her, he was holding off because of their religious beliefs.
--After mentioning Travis touching her rear in the email Travis never touched her again without it being welcomed.
--Both Lisa and Travis were kissing, Travis got an erection. It was a biological response to what was going on. Lisa felt that Travis should have had control over his body and this was due to her inexperience.
--Travis never forced her to do anything sexually that she didn't want to do.
--Lisa and Travis joked sexually. He never touched her in an physical aggressive way.
--After the email, did Travis begin to pay more attention? Lisa "yes".
--Travis was doing everything he could to conform to what she wanted.
--Travis would stop and she would want him to go a little bit forward (sexually).
--Travis never did anything sexually that was unwelcome.
--In public Lisa never grabbed him in public like the way Jodi did when Travis was speaking to other people. It was socially inappropriate.
--When they broke up Travis never screamed at Lisa, but he did want her back.
--Lisa admits that at the time some of the comments she made were a little unfair.
Martinez references exhibit ??? and it looked like he had an autopsy photo of Travis in his hand. Defence objects, judge asks counsel to approach. Travis' family is very upset, one of them walks out of the room, another is doubled over. Jodi appears to be crying but her hair is covering her face.
