So not true! So many Mormon kids want to go there that the competition is quite tough to get in.

I was raised Mormom... and my family is Mormon.

I'm not trying to argue or imply anything at all. I grew up with many mormon friends in a beach town and the majority of girls wore bikinis. It wasn't considered sexual or even revealing. They were actually quite modest girls. I'm not sure its a rule, maybe personal preference.

For what reason was the jury forced to hear 10 minutes of crap about the witness' first meeting with Jodi and all that other bs?

The judge should set a timer. If nothing relevant is said with the first few minutes, a trap door should open and the defense attorney should fall inside of it.

The first 10 minutes of every defense witness is a great time for household chores, naps, or staring aimlessly out your window.

What exciting sermons we've had on the company formerly known as PPL, the Mormon religion, and how these witnesses got their humble beginnings in life.

I'm going to re-fold my socks....

I really dont understand this whole "hearsay" thing. If someone hears someone else say something, why cant that person tell what the other person said?

They heard it with their own ears for goodness sakes. I'll never understand it i guess.

In theory, hearsay isn't allowed because the State and/or the defendant are unable to question the person who made the original statement. (It's a violation of the constitutional clause that says a defendant has the right to confront his accusers.)

In practice, however, there are so many exceptions to the hearsay rule that even some of my lawyer friends can't name them all without checking a law book.

Travis kept Jodi in a different peer group. Pffffft.

Where's the proof of severe domestic abuse?

Ok FINALLY this witness gives the context of this relationship.

Things were supposed to be just friendly but they kept falling back into a relationship (probably at Jodi's insistence)

Really? That last witness seemed dumb as a sock.

The fact that Martinez is letting this hearsay of what Travis said tells me one of two things... he is either sleeping or its relevant to his case.

It's different in each state. If you want to really get confused try reading the statutes. It gets me confused and I did legal research for a living.

Thanks Mormon attorney. My beloved niece is graduating from BYU this April. I am so proud of her. She has a major in Arabic and a minor in Peace Studies. Where are you?

What makes Jodi cry? Someone takes her lotion away!

With how much the defense witnesses have failed to help Jodi (and even hurt her - gas cans), I wonder if the poor defense attorneys were given a list of witnesses by Jodi - people she thought would help her. To avoid a claim by Jodi later, maybe they are just calling everyone she thought loved her. People like Jodi often have a grand view of themselves and what others think of them. Heck, Jodi might even think the testimony is going great!
Well, she sure looked like she thought it was going great when Lisa announced that Travis had cheated on her with Jodi! Did you see her proud smile?
Gag me with a spoon already!

Did you see Jodi react to her attorney when he said "Travis put her in a compartment". I don't think that pleased her too much.

Sensitive chick isn't she!
