Ms. Desiree Freeman - college student @ BYU - was on a mission in England 18 months - volunteer talkn to people about LDS (Mormon) religion - sister of Dan Freeman = now lives in Utah but lived in Gilbert Jan 2001 - Jan 2008 when moved to Utah to go to school -raised inthe church . . . . knew TA thru bro Daniel - knew JA thru TA .. .

Attended same church activities - JA, TA, Daniel and Desiree . . . . others present as well -from begin of 2007 to beg of 2008. . .. .hung out w/bro, JA and TA . . . a few times that year - larger church and other activities with other people. . ..went to Havisu, Sedona and Calif. . . . mostly just travel or watch movies . . saw TA, JA together when just 4 ofthem . . TA treated JA well - affectionate w/ea other- he was clingy and very veryhappy when together . . . larger group setting -TA treated JA about the same while dating - he would talk to others. ... after trip to Grand Canyon and Sedona - he didn't ignore her but were not together -JA was just someone in the background . .. .

TA response was very stark . . . . seemed a little over the top for the encounter . .. .raised his voice . .. . joking before - Desiree was shocked by TA' over the top reaction . . .. .response that shockd you - Jodi stayed quiet and stared out window

Regarding this DT witness IMO its about as bleak as possible when they are literally calling this type witness for their case.. ummmm.. 13yr old kid who had irregular contact with two people who were IMO inconsequential to her or her life, period.. but even worse is that she's been subpoenaed and called to testify to recall these less than a handful of times where she was in their presence and witnessed NOTHING WHATSOEVER that would present evidence of any kind of the DT's claims of Travis abusing Jodi.. making it IMO just all the more apparent this teams desperation and need to find something, anything to support their claim when there's nothing that even barely adds an ounce of weight to the claim..

They were successful in establishing that Travis jokingly began to drive the car as Jodi was opening her door to get in.

They established that the at the time, 13 yr old recalls ONLY that Travis said something over the top to Jodi ONE TIME while on a trip. Yet she has no recollection what was even said
This IMO establishes zip, zero, nil ESPECIALLY due to the fact that this witness who is giving their extremely vaque recollection of ONE COMMENT made between two adults whom she was in no way related or had a close relationship.. IMO it would be irresponsible for their to even be put actual weight into this "piece of evidence" due to the fact the witness that's not only interpretating something from many moons ago as a child, but most important its a kid's interpretating ONE COMMENT(of which she has zero memory of) interpretating a comment she doesn't recall and that she, as a KID overheard between ADULTS!.. wow! I'm just continuing to be surprised at just what little this defense team has to use to establish their claim..

Yea.. that testimony is powerful... NOT!.. I'm just left in awe that this is what is having to be used and presented to prove their claim.. its just so...nothing..

In theory, hearsay isn't allowed because the State and/or the defendant are unable to question the person who made the original statement. (It's a violation of the constitutional clause that says a defendant has the right to confront his accusers.)

In practice, however, there are so many exceptions to the hearsay rule that even some of my lawyer friends can't name them all without checking a law book.

Pills? What kind of pills? Travis might have had a very good reason for not wanting to drive a car with Jodi's pills in her backpack. If he was pulled over while having her pills in the car, it might cause him a lot of trouble.

Last year while talking to the canine officer at the community fair, his dog hit on a friend's purse because she takes a ton of Xanax instead of taking her Lithium. These dogs can smell drugs from a long ways away. They were fortunately prescribed in her name.

Maybe Jodi had illegal drugs or drugs that weren't prescribed in her name?

I have stayed away from this thread for a few days now because I felt my anger and blood pressure rising over all of the incessant " shaming" and critiquing of her "lady parts".

Jeebus. We have a whole generation of young girls who think they need to be ashamed of the way their bodies look, ashamed of they way they feel about desiring sex, and that weighing more than 100 lbs. is a fate worse than death. 16 year olds begging for plastic surgery because they read garbage like that.

Jodi Arias is a vile murderer. Maybe calling her ugly, saying she has cellulite, dark labia and a fat, nasty nose makes some folks feel better. IDK. It seems irrelevant to me.

And calling her a nasty because she has sex (with men who nobody has labeled "" or "") has ZERO to do with the heinous act she committed on Travis.

I have a daughter as do many of you. Someone might call her fat. Or say her hair is ugly. Or that her nose is wonky or she has cankles. Or when she is older and likes a boy and they kiss, some jealous girl might call her a .

And the posts I am reading here will certainly help to perpetuate the double standards and terrible self-esteem that so many young women battle these days. That makes me cry for not just my daughter , but for all the young girls who get to be held to this unattainable standard some people have set.

I could care less about Jodi. But I do care about what we say to one another as women and sisters when we exempt men from any wrongdoing and instead point at other women and call "".

We ought to be discussing the awful thing Jodi did to Travis. Not making up nicknames for her genitalia or " shaming" her for doing the EXACT same things in bed that the victim did!
