Just calmly voicing my opinion on a few posts I've read regarding TA's "sexual preference" when I don't believe his "sexual preference" has ever been questioned in this case by either side. Your post just happened to be the last post regarding this subject and is the one i quoted.
I still respectfully disagree with any insinuation that there's evidence he was struggling with his "sexual preference" and personally wouldn't even think to bring it up. Again, MY OPINION ONLY and pretty sure I did not attack anyone.

I totally agree. I don't see his sexuality in question anywhere. I don't know how it could even be in question but that's just me.

Just my luck. I have a short lunch break but they just excused the jury! So I will probably miss cross? How's it going thus far?

Not really much to report.

Bottom line Travis was like every other red blooded american male.

The witness was a tad too young and immature for a relationship even for 19.

And then we got about 5 minutes (if that) of testimony from the lunch break when we got booted to a in chambers conference.

I could totally see someone in her family, or one of her friends doing something stupid to cause a mistrial. I swear if that happens I will go after them myself.

Can the Judge disallow them access to the courtroom then?

It was a tactic. She didn't want the break to happen before Juan could cross her. It would be damaging if he got this witness to turn into a prosecution witness like her ex boyfriend did right before the break and give the jury all that time to think about her testimony.

I had to read this 3 times before I got what you were saying. I think what you meant to say: she (the defense attorney) wanted the break to occur BEFORE the state could cross examine Lisa. So she suggested the break for the long lunch, then when they came back she asked just a few more questions.

Gitana, You haven't missed much, honestly. Lisa was genuine, thoughtful, and honest. I think most of us agree her testimony didn't come even close to helping the defense build a case of Travis the angry, aggressive, abuser. I think Juan will have no problem bringing this witness around to the state. She is honest, and forthright with no hidden agenda. Juan knows exactly how this cross is going to go, and so does the defense.

I don't think they meant actual boys underwear but womens boy cut underwear. It's a style of underwear that is very popular/common.

I believe the defense meant what they said. Little boy's underwear, not boy cut underwear. They were getting in an insinuation, and apparently it has worked on some folks.
