Oh, that is funny. I just posted about that. I think he works for the State and not a regular LE. So he could be an investigator with the prosecutor's office. Who would know better than he what JM needs in terms of display items during cross. jmo

That would be my guess. He did a lot of the interviews and such
so he is able to help feed questions and inconsistencies to overworked

Thank you so much, Carol2, for those awesome photos! From those perspectives, the room looks so much bigger than it appears to me on TV.

I always did. It's the prudent thing to do. I also have a living will and have had one since I was 23. I began a organ donar at that time as well.

I think it also depends on the person. If they have dealt with a loss or losses of loved one I think they would more aware of the need for a will.

I agree! The courtroom looks so tiny on the live feed but the pictures show how big it is (((good to see you Tracey4AU)))

The link to the new thread doesn't work for me-it took me to an old one! What is the correct link, please?

Only stating this to bring up facts (I am not supporter of Jodi): the Defense brought up the term "stalker" in their opening argument. They said that Travis would use the term "stalker" in reference to Jodi (for some reason - to deflect his own abuse?... I can't remember the rest.... I can't remember why... but I know it was said... maybe someone can help me here).

I think Lisa confirmed that when she said Jodi just walked into the house unexpectedly while she was there with Travis and then turned and ran out the door. That pretty much confirms it to me. Running out the door shows she was not invited but I believe Jodi did it deliberately just to try and break Lisa and Travis up. Seems Jodi had perfect timing in that respect which points to her knowing where he was and what he was doing and with whom. I think that is considered stalking. jmo

Did you? LOL
This is the same detective that interviewed Jodi both times in the taped interrogation interviews. The state already anticipated back then to bring in a special investigator? I'm impressed.

Awww thank you, Nursebeeme! Always great to see you too! Even when I'm not posting, I'm a'watchin'! Trust me! :seeya:

He was very sly :)

In a murder case when my niece on the stand the PA put up photo's of her "boyfriend" handiwork on the wall behind the stand and they stayed there. The defense couldn't take the down.
He killed his aunt who took him in at age three in "self defense". He bashed her in the back of the head with a large marble candle base several times, then stabbed her in the back three times.
She was a large woman (over three hundred pounds) with bad knees and couldn't moved very fast. He took her car, and picked my niece and took her to a fast food place near his aunts house. He later that night told a young man (in a full leg cast) while driving to an all night pawn shop, "I did it. I killed her" as he pawned her jewelery.
We discovered during the trial that he had been in the state mental hospital when he was sixteen and had been in the county jail for eighteen months for stealing his aunts credit cards, several months before he met my niece.

His court appointed attorney was scared of him and said he was a psychopath. The jury was out four hours, went to lunch, took the final vote after they came back with guilty on all counts. The only question they asked was in the penalty phase and that was what was the difference between life and ninety ninety years. The judge said he couldn't tell them. So they went for the ninety ninety years. The jury was polled and each juror looked at him and said guilty. As the judge pronounced his sentence, he told the judge he wanted a new trial because he didn't get to testify. The judge told the bailiff to get him out of the court room. He was

The jury came and talked with us and the DA. The asked why they didn't ask for the death penalty, and the DA said they didn't think a jury would give him death because of his age. He turned twenty one during the trial. He stabbed a table mate during dinner one night and after a few more 'incident's" had more time added to his "parole" in fourteen years to over sixty more years.

At the very first, when we went for a hearing we had a young man from the DA's office tell me what they were going to plead down to and it pissed me off greatly. He said "maybe he had a bad day" and that was hwy he killed her. He was taken off the case that day.

Earlier people were concerned that Flores was sitting with JM. Could it be he is an investigator for the prosecurtor's office? That would explain why he is there all the time. He would be assisting JM in getting files, information rather than typing up another prosecutor or member of his staff. jmo

Anybody know why the detective is still in court? Sitting be the side of the prosecutor?

In Arizona, well Maricopa County at least, the lead case agent sits at the table with the prosecutor(s) during the duration of the trial.

Det. Patricia Ramirez sat at the prosecutors table as well during two separate trials re Baby Gabriel.
