No, her and her brother are a huge waste of time! I would rather have spent that time sorting and counting the loose change in the bottom of my purse!

Thanks for the confirmation! She's bizarre. Just happy I got to see that sweet thing, Lisa, get the point across in a very sincere and endearing way :) Off to Pinterest now. Gnite y'all!!

Please listen to this portion from the defense's opening:

Travis knew she was planning a trip to Utah
He knew she was going to stop along the way at different friends of hers
He kept asking her to come and see him
And at the last minute, she decided she would veer off and take a short trip to Mesa, to go see Travis at his beckoning

Oops, it must have slipped her mind, Willmott forgot to mention:
stealing a .25 cal from her grandparents
renting a (non red) car 90 miles from her house
changing hair color from platinum blonde to dark brown
borrowing 2 - 5 gallon gas cans from ex

Whoops!

You may lol. That's why I said afaik, because it's irrelevant to my point -- which is that Nurmi wouldn't have stood up there with a letter "shown to be forged by the defendant" if the Court had ruled that it was, in fact, a forgery. Or that he would have lied about the conflicting expert report. He wouldn't have done either of those things, imo, and if he had, there would have been a far more ballistic response by the State and the Court. Johunt made a good point about "a" letter v. "the" letters. We shall see. I'm standing by my opinion that there's an expert that says Travis likely wrote a letter that's damaging to the State's case and that the Court has not yet definitively excluded it because it would be insane to exclude evidence which is the subject of conflicting expert reports in a capital case. jmo
Have you ever known a defense attorney to lie in court or at least Make a little spectacle in cour,t to get some member of the media to favor his client with the talking heads for their evening reports? JB comes to mind...each and every day he stated nonsense, threw things out to see what stuck for the evening "news"

I'm not saying you are right or wrong, but it's yesterdays "news" and there was a discussion for hours about this last night and today. Nurmi could have simply "misspoke" or he could be spot on, and maybe it will come into evidence at a later time. For now, it's seems like we have talked for over 24 hours on something that isn't admitted into evidence. CH was there to give testimony on prosecutor misconducted. Until the letters are admitted into evidence, can we just wait and see? In the scheme of the entire trial, this seems miniscule. I'd like to wait until it's a bigger issue, focus on what's in front of us today, tomorrow, and the next day.

If the media isn't making much of this letter, I would say it may not be such a big deal. Only time with tell, but the letters are out for now.

Shiver... I'm having flashbacks of that photo.

Look at it this way......we have learned things from this trial we may never have had the opportunity to learn otherwise! :what:
Ok. Nuff said!

Does the defense think if they can make Travis out to be both an abusive sex maniac and pedophile that everyone will decide he deserved to be slaughtered? The pedophile thing will be too much of a stretch, IMO, seeing as Travis dated age appropriate women - and besides that we don't believe in just killing pedophiles, do we? So, what kind of defense is that? I have a feeling these jurors are smart enough to get insulted by such a defense. :cow:

idk - this whole thing about TA was verbally abusive is just wrong - imo - a real abuser is cruel and not just some one who bickers w/ there partner imo - there is a book - men who hate women and women who love them - that shows what verbal abuse really is - it just seems to me if he was abusive, some one would have heard something more than just disagreements between the 2 of them, no one has said they have seen him act that way, or seen her seem scared in his presence or any other actions that would appear she was abused - not only is she maligning this poor man who can't defend himself, but she is also diminishing the effects of what verbal abuse can do to a real victim. - i hope this makes sense cuz this just infuriates me - i'm sorry this is just a pet peave of mine - exploiting a real problem just so she doesn't have to take responsibility for her crime - imo

Ummmm, Im all for just killing pedophiles. If it were legal, I'd get me a license and start tomorrow!

Travis was a pedophile is the most offensive and ridiculous claim to date. IMO

I still hesitate to assume they had anal sex just because I saw a pic of her... I was never fully convinced the story went the way Jodi told it. Do you blame me for doubting her?

I do not know if JA loved TA but I do not think that she thought he was "prey", something to kill. I should not post anymore...I have had some bad experiences with Mormon men/husband that seem to be clouding my perception of this trial. I am not on JA's side.

I'm sorry for your experiences.

IMO she's a psychopath, incapable of love, fear, remorse. She's without a conscience. She views people as objects to meet her needs. Everyone is disposable.

How's that?

Automatically putting verified attorney under the user names of verified attorneys. Minor 4th states it just appeared so apparently admin did it. I am a verified atty but I've been here for awhile so I figured it's something new.

Someone suggested it be added to all the expert's names because it's easier to determine who is who. I agree. So, can you add it to my user name?

Maybe she uses it for storage? I'm sure that could come in handy in jail.
