I'm still not convinced that Jodi is a true psychopath.
And again I'm not defending her in no way ,shape or form,there is no excuse and no defense to what she did.It's just that almost every case I read here the killer is almost immedeately labeled psychopath,soulless.monster.......
I believe that many times they are people like you and me,that were driven by circumstances and snapped,which IMO is a much more frightening thought than a soulless monster committed this crime.
From all we heard (aside from the incident with her brother,when she was little and I don't count that because I find it pretty normal kid behaviour) Jodi was not violent,she was the "good" kid in school,she had normal relationships with guys seemingly before she met Travis.
I completly believe they were toxic for each other.In my world premarital sex is normal but in Travis' it was this horrible sin and I think that was the catalyst for all things bad to come.Jodi was having sex with Travis like IMO a normal couple would but he put her on a huge guilt trip about it ,meanwhile seeing other girls that Jodi prbably thought he was having sex with also.I think her e-mail to Lisa is so telling because that's how she must have felt about herself.We know how important her reputation is to her because she even brought it up during the police interview.The only way for her to be ok again would have been if Travis married her.But he didn't care and put her down on top of that.
So she became more and more obsessed to the point of no way out,to the point of completely loosing it and seeing no other solution than to eliminate what was causing her pain.
Again I wished she would have gotten help because she must have realized her thoughts were spinning out of control but she did not....

I guess we'd like to believe she is soul less and a psychopath. We don't want to think the people we all know are capable of this. :moo::banghead:

I haven't read most of the posts, so I am guessing this has been discussed. But last night on one of the talking heads programs (I think it was Dr. Drew), they pointed out that Jodi had slashed all those tires (3 sets of tires, so 12 tires) so she was EXPERIENCED using a knife. And that it was probably the same knife she used to kill Travis.

I also was thinking about the incident where Lisa was with Travis and her tires were slashed and they heard the front door open and went down to investigate. I bet she gets chills knowing it could have been both her and Travis killed by Jodi. I'm gong to take a wild guess she hopes Jodi never ever gets out of jail. Our justice system is in place to protect people like Lisa (and her husband and baby).

What was the prosecutor trying to do when he pulled that shock tactic with the photo? It seemed he was trying to elicit Miss Lisa's opinion of whether Travis "deserved" what happened to him, but she never gave even a whiff of vindictiveness. Other than showboating, why did he do that?
I don't understand his combativeness with witnesses who are perfectly decent, normal, ordinary people who were dragged into this mess by Jodi Arias, and who are being forced to disclose intimate details about their lives on a national broadcast.
I don't understand why he's hellbent on making them feel so horrible. They did nothing wrong.
This guy is making Good Ol' Gus seem sympathetic.

I was told yesterday at my office that I am being moved out of my office to the front reception area to answer phones as well as what I do now. We're cutting back unfortunatley, but at least I still have a job!!

Yall know what that means right?

I wont be able to watch the trial anymore. What am I going to do? I knew something like this was going to happen, it was just to good to be true!

So, now more than ever I will rely on everyones posts. I will be going through withdrawls, and I ll have a few panic attacks, but as long as I have you guys I think I might be able to pull through!

Sad but true....all that time spent waiting, sidebars, chambers etc and only an hour of actual testimony a day when they actually do have court. I really do not understand why in a DP case and the jury to consider, they didn't clear the Judges calendar.

The prosecutor and Lisa were a wonderful team. Sure she was subpoened by the Arias side, but she clearly wasn't on their side. He wasn't combative with her at all; in fact, he gave her the opportunity to say the things she wanted to say. The prosecutor showed the picture to point out that the average person doesn't slice a man's throat over a relationship issue.

After seeing all the juror questions from yesterday now, I do not think that Jodi would testify. Can you imagine all the questions from the jury!!!!!!! OMG!

I wonder what other states do that as I have never seen that before in a trial (not that I follow many!). Unique I must say.....and woo the day that I was a juror, on most any trial, as I would have lots and lots.......just sayin'. Considering that thought, perhaps some of the juror questions are just to POINT OUT and UNDERLINE what they already know the answer to, but want to clarify to the other jurors to ensure the others didn't miss what I caught. Yep, that might be :blush: what I would do if I was a juror!

Luckily you can catch up on the weekends by looking at the timeline thread. It's awesome! Between all the breaks and sidebars and 2 hour lunches you can whiz thru them pretty fast. I feel your pain though, it's addicting.

Thanks for posting TigerBalm. I think Jodi showed MUCH more true emotion through this testimony than at any other point in the trial. I hope the jurors noticed.

Because he is a seasoned prosecutor that knows what he is doing. It is his job to keep the focus on the real victim front and center in the case. He wanted her to answer if she would have ever done this to Travis (by showing her the photo of a deceased and visciously attacked Travis.)

In fact he has been in contact with Lisa thoughout the years......imo she knew what was coming already. He is the one that contacted her for the DT to make her aware she would be testifying for them instead of the state.

Lisa did not feel horrible whatsoever imo. She was wanting to get this all off of her chest and its obvious she still has feelings for Travis as a person she loved and probably still does since it was her first love.

Cases like this are not for the weak stomached. It is what it is and it must never lose sight of who the real victim is.

He was reminding the jurors why they are there. Putting the focus back on the fact Jodi is on trial, not Travis.
