I really like him LC. He's not going to stand for Travis's name being trashed. I like how he is handling the witnesses. He was gentle with Lisa. After seeing that, I had no worries.

Let me add to that. The defense teams WILL, AND DO, Snoop into the victims past to try and find ANYTHING that the can throw at the victims in these cases. They tried that with my brother.

The only one's shocked seeing the picture were Travis' family. They did not know the photo was coming and were not prepared. Defense knew it was there, it was lying on the desk out in the open while JM was asking Lisa his final questions. You can see the picture in the replay videos. What upset defense was the reaction from the family and their fear it would cause some juror to be sympathetic with the family and color their opinion during deliberations. I think it is way too late for that. That picture was already in evidence and seen by the jury.

The juror's can see Travis' family suffering just by looking at them during the whole court procedure. In contrast they can also see how Jodi's family thinks some of the witness testimonys are something to be laughed about. Lisa did not react in a negative way because she knew what was coming and she knew it was not personal. jmo

I missed the part about Jodi's family laughing, but I did hear the judge warn the gallery a couple of times about making comments and laughing. What happened -- what were they laughing about?

Thanks - I guess the blade could have slid between the ribs with a perfect strike - after seeing only one stab wound in the heart area, I guess Jodi knew exactly where to aim.

Good Morning!

I'm getting ready to head down to the courthouse...thanks for all the support and nice messages guys.

I'll be wearing all black today. I will definitely be sitting on the side of Travis' family. I'll post a quick note when I get in there telling you just where I am.

I did write a card for the family and want to share this line:

I am also carrying the love and prayers and support from hundreds of posters on the Websleuths forum who are following the trial in solidarity with your family.

I think today will be a big court day. I can only be there in the morning so be updating a small bit from my iphone then catch up with you all later tonite.

:seeya:
I got a big lump in my throat at the note. Thanks is not enough.

BBM - From my view and review of that scene: The shocking photo was actually hidden underneath another photo which was on Juan's table and visible. After Juan picked up the photos, he removed the top photo and placed it back on the table and then proceeded to display the shocking photo. Therefore, the DT did not know in advance that the shocking photo was going to be displayed.

He was very sly :)

She's his ex-gf from cali, I believe.

Maybe Travis used PPL advice and made a will, and he covered everything of his.

There objection was to the reaction by the family to the photo as was clearly evident when the judge instructed the jury not to be influenced by the reaction of the family. The photo was in evidence and already seen by the jury. It was not a shocking photo in that they had not previously seen it. They had and they will see it again if they chose during delibration.

I can see how some see it as the prosecutor being out of line but he's the prosecutor and is entitled to present his case. Defense asked for a mistrial based on the family's reaction and the judge denied it. If anything it appears many on this forum are more impressed with JM now than they were before. He appears to have a fan club. jmo

If you listen, he announced it as Exhibit 205 before throwing it up there. If DT were familiar with all of the exhibits/#'s (as they sure as heck should be) they would have known what it was...Granted he said it quickly, but nevertheless, it was announced

The jury question regarding the texting and phone calls, as well as clarifying whether the witness considered her a stalker, convince me that the jury is going to hang a big stalker label around the defendant's coiffed head.

Sleuth, I thought the same thing.....

IMO, the jury may see JODI as I see her....a STALKER.

Travis did have a Will.

imo

I know he did, not sure if odd is the right word but how many at thirty without a family ie no wife and kids, actually have a will.

From what the judge said it was during witness testimonys. I think it has been going on for days. And there was a "finger" picture posted here from one of her supporters which I am sure the prosecution heard about but no proof that was what she was doing so I think the judge had had enough. Warn them and next time they do it, out the door they go.

Also I am surprised at the amount of liquid in the gallery. Also chewing going on. I always thought that was not allowed. I can see the family having water but I'm amazed at seeing plastic cups in the gallery other than the family. jmo
