IMO, I think JA said that about his legs to show why, in her latest story, she had to leave him behind when she fled from the ninjas.

That was also on my mind. TBH, I was right on the fence about whether he was shot first or last. Both theories seem to have a lot of validity.

The ME tends to think Travis would have definitely died immediately with that shot to the head so the defensive wounds had to have come before that shot. Since the ME is a trillion times more educated than I am in all things biological and medical, I'm starting to think he's right.

Ugh, frustrated here - intentionally rushed home from work to enjoy this afternoon's testimony and POOF!

Had to chuckle at the new "seal" for our state - helps to put a little lightness into an otherwise frustrating day - it hasn't helped watching the airing of Daniel Freeman's testimony from this morning on IS - we had to be lucky enough that HE would want to come back and clarify - I personally find him so difficult to listen to because of the way he speaks - he either swallows his words or something, but it's really hard to hear him, and of course, he has to be the most chatty of all the witnesses so far in this trial.

Now we sit and wait and I am so disappointed I opted to shorten my day with clients to listen to Daniel and then sit here staring at the seal - darn!

I'm sure those of you who took time to go to court today are disappointed as well - I would be so excited to have the time to go and be lucky enough to actually get a seat, and then really sad that the day all fell apart.

I'm thinking maybe we won't see any testimony today, and actually if they are planning on putting Jodi on, I hope they don't have time to put her on today right before the 3 day weekend - it wouldn't be good for the jurors to hear her soft, tearful little voice and then have 3 days for them to feel sorry for her JMHO . . . although I can't imagine they would actually call her this early, wouldn't they put the DV experts on first?

Maybe it's on vinyl. The judge had to go on e-bay to find a Victrola.

Now that is funny JayKayelle!

Thanks for the entertainment while we are staring down the seal.

I am about ready to drive to AZ and knock that seal off the wall with a sledge hammer.

Godspeed my friend....we're waiting

I think she shot him first for the following reasons:

1. Because she brought a gun with her intending to use it.
2. Her interrogation statements indicate, if you read between the lines, that she shot him and the gun jammed, (and I think she started stabbing him as a result).
3. IIRC, I don't think the ME stated it would be impossible for Travis to survive for a little while after a gun shot to the head.
4. We have seen people survive gun shots to the head, like Gabby Giffords.

Re: I did not mean to imply I believed it would have killed him, but incapacitate him, render him unconscious, yes.

5. We have a poster on here very familiar with guns and with 25s who stated that a 25 would not easily or instantly kill a man like Travis.
6. I think jodi would have believed that a gun shot would immediately incapacitate him while stabbing is more iffy and she would not have wanted to get so close to him such that he might be able to disarm her, which a knife would require.
7. Travis was sitting down in the shower right before the killing began and the trajectory of the bullet shows he was shot from above from right to left which mirrors how he was sitting right before he was killed.
8. Her stories about the intruders probably mirror to some degree what actually happened.
9. Travis was found with the head wound facing away, and towards the wall of the shower. We know that he left the shower during the killing and was dragged back into it and we know he was shot in the shower. It makes no sense that she would shoot him and then pull him back out and turn him around so that the head wound faced away from her. Too much work.

I suppose it doesn't matter much except stabbing first may indicate a bit more ruthlessness on her part. But either way, this is one of the most vicious murders I have ever seen.

Thanks - Yes, It's all likely. IMO it would definitely be an easier and more logical scenario that JA would have shot him first. The evidence on both sides are compelling. My belief of what happened definitely leaves me with far more questions about JA, the murderer.

I used to hate her voice- sounds strangled to me, but her commentary is much better than Jean Casares'.

I agree, though I thought Beth sounds like Kermit the Frog. But "strangled" works as well. LOL!

#JodiArias jury just ushered past towards elevator. May be a sign #Arias trial won't resume today.

I had the understanding that the ME said, on the stand, that the gunshot would have not been immediately fatal, but would hav caused an IMMEDIATE loss of consciensness. For that reason he hypothesized that it was not the first blow.

I've been a little iffy on the 'dragging' thing.

To me, it seems more likely that the victim was staggering or crawling and JA was hanging on or simply following him, continuing the attack.

I think that a clock should be shown just like when the jury is deliberating showing just how much time is actually spent in the courtroom during this trial.

I like your idea but if I won't offend, I would like to amend it to a cumulative timer.
