If it was from Defense - it is what they wanted the jury to chew on all weekend.

If from the Prosecution - they trumped whatever the defense had planned as their last word before long weekend.

BTW - did you guys hear the rant Vinnie had the other day on Gus S when he didn't want to tell who was in his car, and tried to take the 5th and didn't have an attorney :floorlaugh: handy ???

Rumors are that the prosecution has new evidence in #jodiarias trial. #travisalexander family were hoping for good news. Waiting...now

Thanks - Yes, It's all likely. IMO it would definitely be an easier and more logical scenario that JA would have shot him first. The evidence on both sides are compelling. My belief of what happened definitely leaves me with far more questions about JA, the murderer.

Just FYI, Gabby Giffords head wound was not anything like the shot to Travis' head. I can say from personal experience that I have also seen gunshots to the head and just speaking from my own experience, many more die from gunshot wounds to the head than those who live. The statistics say anywhere from 4-7% survive gunshot wounds to the head. It just doesn't happen that often.

Maybe DB's ex wife taped a conversation with him. One or two party knowledge in California?

I'm not sure what it is now but back when I had the need to record I could do it for myself, but to use for court the other party would have to have knowledge and agree to it.

I've been a little iffy on the 'dragging' thing.

To me, it seems more likely that the victim was staggering or crawling and JA was hanging on or simply following him, continuing the attack.

Do you realize his throat was slashed ear to ear, nearly decapitating him while he was at the end of the hall, close to the entrance to his bedroom? There's a large amount/pool of blood right there. That one slash would have rendered him unconscious within a couple seconds and dead within 20 seconds as he bled out.

How do you think he got back to the shower after that? There's photo evidence showing him after that neck wound, with blood streaming from the side of his neck and down his back, while Jodi's pant leg is shown. He was in the process of being dragged back down the hall. Two pictures were taken which show it, at least partially.

Actually, what the ME said was that he didn't know that the gunshot wound would be fatal in and of itself (it could have been but also maybe not or not immediately) but it definitely *would* have made Travis incapacitated and unable to defend himself. Thus there wouldn't have been defensive wounds to his hands as one example. And since there were defensive wounds to T's hands, that's one indication of many that at least some of the stab wounds came first.

That's how I remember it. The bullet entry wound and final resting place as demonstrated on xray can only mean that TA's brain would not have been functional following such an injury.

The area of brain injury would have made subsequent voluntary movement impossible in the ME's considered medical opinion.

I agree, though I thought Beth sounds like Kermit the Frog. But "strangled" works as well. LOL!

This is funny to me because my husband calls Beth "Kermit". The other day he heard that young, dark-haired, pretty lady talking and asked if everyone on In Session had "Muppet voices"? I do like Beth a lot, but I found your post funny! :)

On a similar note, but totally off topic, I think that Eminem sounds like Big Bird when he's singing. :laughcry:

Jury escorted back to the jury room. Can you tell this is a confusing scenario?

And that precludes this from being one of those 4-7% of times? Especially when you have a small-caliber round that exited the brain, and only damaged the very front of the frontal lobe?
