I am Mormon and I agree with you on a lot of it. I think they are trying to show that Travis and JA were either living Mormon standards (no sex) at the time of baptism or one or both lied. Not sure where this is going. But, when you have nothing else, you need to spend a lot of time on PPL and Mormonism....

I suspect that the defense wants to argue that Travis corrupted Jodi.

One thing we can deduce is why so many of these Mormon folks got into PPL/Legal Shield. Sounds like the church is kinda a pyramid, too. Or triangle, or circle, if you will.

I don't really think there should be a different standard of "reasonableness" or culpability because of their chosen religious practices and beliefs. Yet, it seems like that's where they are trying to take this.

Yes, he was an elder, I get that. But equally, JA was a member and she also broke her vows.

It wasn't just a one way street. She wasn't co-erced in to sexy time. She was a willing participant too.
