He had a tox screen done. He was only found to have very slightly elevated blood alcohol levels, IIRC. Something like .01%.

the alcohol level was caused by the decomp - he didn't ingest any

Attorneys and Arias are in chambers with the judge. The courtroom is full. Waiting for afternoon session to begin with a new witness.

Maybe Jodi is wanting to testify next????

According to VP the judge just called the attorney's into chambers. I wonder if Jodi is wiling to take a plea of life instead of the DP?

Maybe she is taking the stand now?

I dont think Juan will accept a plea.

NO WAY would JM offer that to her.

Are you saying you heard enough about Mormonism already....and PLEASE don't share more?? :please:

After sitting through PPL and then this morning, I understand. I understand!

Yeah, that is what I'm saying now but before you gave me that nice way out I was admitting that I suppose I'm just a perv.

Quite a few of us believe she may have shot him first. The expert wasn't ironclad that death would be instantaneous with a shooting.

How his body was positioned lends itself to him being shot first (he was sitting with the head wound agsinst the wall of the shower and away from the shower door.

i agree, but i have a question for you. i don't really understand why the defense is so emphatic that if he was shot first, there's no cruelty. we know TA fought back---at least he put his hands up. (i personally think he would've had more defensive wounds than he did---on his forearms, for instance---if he was anywhere close to 100% when she was stabbing him. so i think he was quite incapacitated already.)

but i just don't get how, even if he WAS shot first, that's not cruel. can you explain?

also, do you think it's possible the ME is being so definite about the order of the wounds BECAUSE the DA is taking that position?

I think she shot him first, and it didn't work how she intended so she had to go fetch a knife.

I'm sure this has been covered a thousand times, sorry. I've been insanely busy and just getting around to WS for this trial.

Has TA's straight razor been ruled out as the slicing weapon?

You and Gus can just plead the fifth....:floorlaugh:

Don't see duct tape being 'broken' very often IMO.

I asked someone who I know who works in a gym. He said that people do this with all kinds of tape and it's fairly common. They don't necessarily have to break the tape, I guess, but just keep flexing until it is loose and can be pulled off. Just tellin ya what was told to me. It obviously didn't have any adverse effect on him, and no other explanation for it. So I'm willing to buy this explanation.

I posted a link recently about sociopaths and sex. They don't actually enjoy it. They use it to manipulate. IMO, jodi is a clear sociopath. I see that those who have had dealings with sociopaths (like me) recognize Jodi as one based on her behaviors and interviews.

Also, I was just watching HLN. Friends of Jodi were saying how she was a good girl in high school and not violent. Sounds familiar? casey anthony?

Sociopaths are good at hiding their true natures.

EXACTLY. If they went around with signs plastered on their foreheads, we wouldn't have a problem recognizing them. Geez. Just because they were sweet and quiet in high school, does not mean they AREN'T a sociopath.

I think she should have been convicted of first degree and gotten the death penalty.

The only good outcome to come out of that case is Broderick is her own worst enemy and because she is still so arogant, self centered, and remorseless the parole board will never let her out.

IMO

I'm pretty well convinced she doesn't want to get out of prison anyway. She couldn't handle life with a fairly generous monthly alimony (granted, I know she thought it wasn't nearly enough, but it was like $16,000/month).
What on earth would she do now, penniless, a pariah, and with no demonstrable coping skills?

But mostly, she just isn't sorry. Not one bit, so this is a non-issue.

He was firm that he would have gone unconscious very quickly though. If it had been first he did say it would be a life threatening injury. I saw the photo and it made a perfect hole where it went into his brain.

He would not be able to be all up and down that hallway or being able to defend himself from some of the knife stabs.

From the posters I have seen and the MEs on tv they agree with ME Horn.

IMO

I don't think there's been any evidence to indicate he had a straight razor. There was some speculation about one because it came up somewhere that he "shaved the old-fashioned way", but this could just be referring to a non-electric razor.

After that other trial, I'm almost a bit afraid to follow this one. Delays like this are awful! What on earth are they discussing in there?!!

... And, holding a camera, she couldn't hold a gun too.

JA is a leftie. The camera is made to be operated with the right hand. The gun and/or knife would naturally be wielded in her left hand.
