so, could it be that the next evidence was going to be the sex tape, Juan objected, and they had to clear the courtroom to have the evidentary hearing because there is not multi media in the judge's chambers?

just a thought.

OH NO! more meat?!?!?!

Arias trial: Court sources say the disputed evidence has to be listened to and there is supposedly no equipment to do so in judge's chambers

Chris Williams @chriswnews

This evidence needed played on equip in ct. #JodiArias judge deciding whether admissible. #Arias jury is not in ct room either

Apparently the judge is listening to audio that she'd have to decide whether it's admissible. We're still outside courtroom. #JodiArias

You mean all this hasnt been ruled on before the trial?

imo

oh that is a good idea too, BK... jail house calls to impeach the last witnesses.

(moo)

Goodness, this judge runs such a messy courtroom, always late, delays, delays, sidebars galore....I don't think we'll be back today. I'm out.

This is going to end up yet another wasted court day. Unfrigginbelivable. They already start late (at 10:30am) then often start late from that, then they break for lunch right at noon (doG forbid they take a short lunch or have some sandwiches brought in), then if lucky they get in 2 or 3 hours in the afternoon.

ridiculous.

This trial is ridiculously, tediously slow, IMO.

Late start, morning break, lunch, afternoon break, done for the day..in between are 300 sidebars and 45 seconds of actual testimony.

At least that's what it feels like.

The judge cleared the courtroom while she reviews an exhibit and determines its admissibility. We're all hanging... http://fb.me/BRRu9rYO

Not really understanding why it's closed proceedings? lawyers?

A few reasons off the top of my head: sensitive information about the victim; information that could be subject to a claim of privilege; or some question about whether certain evidence is fraudulent.

Back during the Scott Peterson trial and when the CourtTV Message boards were alive, I believe someone who posted on that board (or it could have been this board as well) took a trip to the Peterson residence, took some photos, posted them on the message board. The prosecution used those photos in their case, years after charges were brought against Scott.

With this case, perhaps the 'fame' of the case brought people forward with information or items that they had no idea even were relevant.

All just wild speculation on my part though. :)
IIRC, that was our very own KatieCoolady!!!:rocker:

ridiculous.

I think that a clock should be shown just like when the jury is deliberating showing just how much time is actually spent in the courtroom during this trial.

That's why I'm thinking it's 'new'...either newly generated (jailhouse tapes) or newly discovered.

  • #1,340
I'm not sure why everyone seems so surprised about what is going on right now. We knew that the sex tapes were coming up and I would think that most likely the judge is not going to allow in every ooohhhh and ahhhhh from either of the people on the tape. That's what makes most sense to me anyway.
