I think it likely any writings were otherwise preserved. His friends and family are becoming even more protective of Travis' memory. Lisa set her blog to private and his memorial site moved to closed group status.I completely disagree, Travis had writings and was in the process of writing a book, if nothing else that could have been used just to preserve his writings....that's what I would have done if he were my friend.
The public scrutiny and media intrusion have become overwhelming to them I believe.
(Incidentally to have myspace, facebook, blogger, twitter accounts closed posthumously can be an extremely difficult process afaik.) That's probably the only reason those are still accessible.
