First time posting....long-time lurker! I'm a KC local, so this case is really getting to me....

I can't remember where I heard it (sorry for no link), but I'm pretty sure it was a nat'l news outlet--thinking ABC--that said JI worked a 24-hour shift the day Baby Lisa disappeared. So that would mean he was NOT home when DB was at the store. If that's the case, who was with the kids? This may be a huge discrepancy that LE is now trying to pick apart in her story. :(

A 24hr shift? I'm not sure if I would like someone doing electrical work on my building with no sleep for 24hrs. He could make a dangerous mistake. JMO.

That was me. I still think JI didn't know about the get together, and I think it ended just before he walked in. That explains the lights being on, ect.

Me too. I think the reason why some thought the couple was being so blatantly honest about details that look incriminating is because they had no choice. Jeremy probably really did come home to the door unlocked, all the lights on, and the baby missing. He may well have told exactly that to LE when he called 911. No way Debbi could deny that without outing herself to hubby and LE.

I think Jeremy has figured things out, but maybe not (or maybe he was involved in Lisa's disappearance). I don't feel he was involved initially though; the man has always seemed in a haze to me. If he was initiallly unaware that the intruder story was false (assuming it is false), it could explain why LE was pushing on Debbi and not asking Jeremy to take a LDT, telling him he was cleared, etc... Putting Debbi in the hotseat all by herself.

All just speculation and my own opinion...

It totally sounds like preparation for the party, but clearly she didn't claim that she had a party in her house that night. Was it preparation for some future party?

Maybe all their meals are served and eaten on paper plates.. Just a thought..

OK.. So mom is on video buying wine with some man that the neighbors were questioned about?

WHAT? Where is this defined?

Then Judge Jennine asked the father what kind of people he thinks do this, and for some reason he said cheating spouses..

We also have the mother says "we" in alot of the things that happend that night baby went missing.... Dad is working.. yet, the mother keeps saying "we"..

Red bold by me . . . curious about this statement

If dad worked until 330a (I don't know but guessing if he's home at 4a), his shift would have started at, what --7p?

Thank you. I'm reading this in bed & my husband is sleeping so I couldn't watch the video now. I'm very worried what this news could mean for Lisa.

JMO

I just watched it and decided to record it - with my husband sleeping next to me. I'm afraid you can hear him snoring in the background. Oops.

If LE "found" the receipt, then it sounds like Debbie never told them that she went to the store that day. They had to do some investigating, before they found out. So what reason would she have for keeping that a secret?

Its sounds a bit odd to me to be buying paper plates and napkins for a one to one love tryst. Much easier to wash up two plates, IMO.
Maybe they were going to have a picnic in the park. She certainly couldn't bring him home with the kids there.

Norval C. Nichols, who lives about a block from Lisa’s home, said that police showed him a photograph last week of the homeless man and asked about any possible connection to the missing child. Nichols described the homeless man as being in his 20s, with brownish blond hair and a clean appearance. The man once was seen in the neighborhood riding a red bicycle, he said

ETA he also mentioned seeing him in the park.

Is the video of the man at the store with DB where this picture came from?

I am naturally suspicious, but buying a box of wine with an unidentified man hours before your baby goes missing seems pretty significant. At the very least it makes me wonder if she was having an affair and/or was drinking that night.

I am operating under the assumption that if it was just her brother or something it wouldn't be an unidentified man or an issue at all. It would have been just part of the overall story.

The store said the man was unidentified. LE did not comment so we don't know if the man has been identified or not. Could have been a neighbor, brother or friend. The receipt was found by LE during their search of the house and they were following up. That doesn't mean Lisa's mom didn't tell LE about it when she was questioned.

True. I tacked on a second sentence after I'd thought about it for a bit. Oh those love trysts! (great phrase)

We don't know she was keeping this a secret, do we?

Good point. However, they'd need more than plates, napkins and wine for a picnic. They would have had to go to some other store and buy food, not to mention something to drink the wine out of.

Well if she told LE why did LE go to the store after they found a receipt to request the video?

So if in the first day of questioning she said I went to the store at 5 to buy wine and paper plates with my brother they would still find the receipt and drive to the store and ask for video footage? I just assumed if they had known about the trip all along they wouldn't need to do so. Maybe to see if she was telling the truth? Why would they need the receipt though if she told them the name of the store and general time?

My new theory is that Debbie had a small get together. Innocuous enough, right? Maybe she went in and passed out, on the bed. Everyone else was still up partying, and getting drunk. Someone from that "party" took the baby. Mom knows this, but didn't want to admit it to hubby. Hence the reason she failed the lie detector test.

Now we need to find out who was at the party.

I have never seen a report of the time JI is said to have left for work that night. Does anyone know? TIA.

I've been looking for that and had no luck? Does anyone else have a link for this?

I work 'overnight shift' - it just means that we work while most of the world sleeps. Does not indicate the length of the shift as far as I know. (BTW - my shifts are 7p - 7:30a)
