O/T but...

Looking at the GMA video: the family decorated the house for Halloween?! While their baby is still missing?!

Those decorations could have been put up the weekend before Lisa was missing, the parents have not been back to the house. I'm sure they would be bombarded with media if they tried.

As far as Halloween decorations, take this with a grain, as I don't even know what house it is. I see nothing wrong with that. There are 2 other children in the home, right? Also, keeping busy when upset can help to focus or calm, well it does for me, and keeping little ones busy with fun stuff is always a good idea, especially during times of stress. jmo

Thank you. I saw this video on the Today Show. I am looking for the video that is mentioned in this post:

Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community - View Single Post - The surveillance video-the man and the box of wine

It had something to do with A house being shown in the video and decorated for Halloween and whose house it is.

The Today Show video also shows the decorated house starting at the 2:20 mark. The guy with the green Houston sweatshirt is also there, and he looks like the guy in the grocery. I highly doubt he'd still be hanging around if something lurid or scandalous is going on.

So does her buying baby food & wipes relieve her of some suspicion? If you plan to kill you baby why waste money on food & wipes? Or do we skip that part and only look at things that point to her being guilty?

I love how the newscaster makes is sound like something bad was happening... I.E. "a video surfaces of the what the mom was doing hours before her baby disappeared" like going to the grocery store to buy diapers and wipes is abnormal for a woman with a baby. :floorlaugh:

ITA... if JI was working the night shift he most likely was home with the kids. At this point I am just like: so the mom went shopping......sounds like a normal thing most mom's do

I personally don't see any baby food or wipes being bought on video. Only a box of wine. I don't know how the store figured out about baby food or wipes. First they said paper plates and napkins, that changed to baby food and wipes, but I don't see any from that video.

Right after they enter the store- he puts it to his ear right before they are out of camera range. At the counter, it looks like she handed him something. I thought change.

Sorry I got my lefts and rights mixed up in my original post. I think a phone is in his left hand and the keys in his right hand. Here's what I noticed:

As they come in the store his has something in both hands the item in his right hand seems to have something hanging down inbetween his fingers. Before go out of site on that section of the video he looks like he is reaching up to take off his sunglasses with his right hand. At that point you see the glimper of something bright and shiny in that same hand.

Notice that he only has his sunglassed on in that very first scene, the other parts show the sunglassed hooked in the neckline of his t-shirt.

The biggest thing that bothers me about the surveillance video is that she didn't mention it to LE. IIRC, it was the store who contacted LE (is that right?). I feel confident that LE asked her repeatedly to recount that day for them. Go through it again. Ok, now go through it again. Just in case a little something is mentioned that might have been forgotten the first (second or third) time. This, however, is not something little! I have a hard time believing she forgot she went to the store that day. But, why on earth would she not tell them this info? It looks pretty innocuous to me. I just don't get it.

I've never thought that she DID plan to kill her baby. But children do die at the hands of a parent without a parent planning or intending to kill them.

He could be younger than 20. By the way I can't see what she is buying at all.

Yes, he could be younger than 20. That's why I said... 20ish

I couldn't see the items in that video either. Comparing Today's voiceover description (baby wipes, baby food, and wine) to previous descriptions of the items bought (paper plates, paper cups, and wine).

Either way, looks like a normal grocery store trip.

MOO, but if you are trying to buy alcohol for an underage person, many times the store will refuse to sell it w/o the person providing ID. It looked like when they were at the register he handed something to the cashier, too. So I'll just say my opinion is, he's not underage, nothing sinister or hinky about buying wine, wipes & baby food.

BBM. I have not heard that. I don't think we know how the video became known. Or know that DB never mentioned it to LE.

But do we know for sure that she didn't tell LE about her grocery trip? No one has said why they asked to view the video, have they? Not LE or anyone else.

I don't feel we have enough evidence to say she lied about the shopping trip, or omitted the shopping trip in her timeline, or anything else.

I WOULD love to know why LE wanted to see it though!

Ok...because I'm getting confused and the topics are moving quickly...

Are there TWO different videos? One with a guy in a green hoodie and one with the guy in jeans at the Food Festival grocery store?

Could be the guy, maybe that is why LE seems to be going in to search that house. Is that DB standing out there too?

  • #617
Since LE aren't concerned about the trip to the store, I imagine the newly purchased baby items were found in the house?

Aw, crud. Now I have to dig through 5 billion pages of this forum to figure out where I read that. It will bug me until I figure it out. Plus, I need to provide a linky link or I'll get put in timeout.

Plus, if I am completely wrong and it gets repeated as fact, it will end up like the mystery 12 year old at the cistern search who, in reality, was a grown man simply on his knees. That got repeated a lot....

Are we sure she didn't ? LE said it wasn't relevant anyway.

The items are listed on the receipt, which can be produced by DB or the grocery store for LE to examine. Whatever, I think there the media has been sensationalizing their headlines a bit much! So what, what she went to the grocery, and for all we can tell, she bought boxed wine. Who cares if she bought baby food/wipes or paper plates and cups. They're all perfectly normal items for a mom of three to buy.
