Haven't seen anything yet, Charlie. Nothing today, but I came home in a freezing fog. I packed a bag this morning with my portable DVD player and a couple of movies, my laptop and some clothes. We have 80% chance tonight, but 100% tomorrow for 2 to 4 and another 4 to 6 tomorrow night. I haven't decided whether I go to work or stay home tomorrow. Brought work home again, so we'll see. I bought some canned goods and Pepsi. We have plenty of meat in the freezer, rice and potatoes. The BarnGod got two large round bales from a fellow not too far from us that raises Thorobreds (races them too). Early this afternoon he drove out to get another 100 bales of oats. The large bales are hybrid sedan grass, tested for nitrates. Yesterday he went for our grain. Brought home 1060 lbs in a big canvas bag. We scooped that into barrels for two hours, then tonight when I came home, we lunloaded the bales off the truck. Backbreaking, but the horses and calves will be happy. He also bought 10 sacks of chicken feed (20% protein) for half price as our two local co-ops are merging. They gave the BarnGod a bag of range cubes (cow cake) that had split and gotten slightly wet. The cubes were fine, not wet at all. So, we're ready if we get hit hard.
