Pack_fan,

That was, hands down, a great game ! Will be pulling very hard for them tomorrow to take the ACC title - those young ladies deserve it and I suspect they want it more for Coach Yow than for themselves. Simply amazing, I have to tell you I was shocked to see them take out Duke - but very glad they did !

Go Wolfpack Ladies !!!
But, you have to feel bad for DUKE, this was their year...broke my heart...now, not to say i don't strongly admire Coach Yow...she is a great person with an excellent outlook on life...but dang for DUKE!!!

What's not to love about the Lady Vols ? Coached by the all time winningest Coach in college bball history, male or female, and CP3 on the floor ! The Lady Vols are the very foundation for every sports opportunity opened to young women at the college level - Pat Summit should be very proud of everything she has done for young ladies in sports across this country.

Besides that, those young ladies could school any number of persons in how to play basketball ! Great team and here is to #7 this year ! Go VOLs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did you all see her the other night when she showed up at the Men's Game to show her support? She did a cheer with the cheerleaders, yes, in uniform, and sang Rocky Top. It was so funny. Apparently, the mens' coach had done something like that for the ladie's team earlier. Anyway, if am I not mistaken, at that point, TN was losing, but they came back and beat FL (I think it was FL).

I have a niece that WILL be playing for Pat Summit one day  - at least, that is her goal. She's a sweet kid - good student and really good ball player. Whether she'll ever be a Lady Vol or not remains to be seen, but she has been to a couple of her summer camps.

GO VOLS!

I did see Pat in her little cheerleading outfit trying to "sing" Rocky Top - too funny ! The mens coach showed up at the ladies game with no shirt and painted orange and blue a couple of weeks ago to show his suppport - that was pretty funny as well !

Very sad today however - the Lady Vols lost last night to LSU - but I must say LSU put CP3 in jail and wouldn't let her play so I suppose they deserved to win. Sounds like strong motivation for the NCAA tourney coming up soon. Go Lady Vols !

Got a little bloody there ! Combative foul - I hate to see this in the college game, cheap shot. Hopefully Coach K will cool that young mans jets - on the bench. Terrible.

Congrats to UNC !

Oh you can bet that Coach K will have a few words with the young man. I cannot see Coach K tolerating that type of behavior. He may very well cool his jets on the bench for a few games, I don't think Coach K will handle it differently just because it's the ACC tourny coming up. I would be surprised if he did.

Jilly,

Does Peppurr have green eyes ?

We have a barn cat named Percy who looks very much like Peppurr - he has huge green eyes - very pretty eyes. Sorry no picture.

Yes! Peppurr has green eyes. They are pretty too! I wish his personality was just as pretty but unfortunately he is very neurotic. We found him half dead on the road when he was 6 weeks. Rushed him to the vet. His eyes were shut with infection and he had a huge open wound on his hind leg. Lucky for him because the vet said had we not, he wouldn't have made it through the nite. That was 6 yrs ago and we figure he's got some brain damage. Anyways, we love him and know that he loves us in his own neurotic way!

I like the name Percy!

I knew you were a good egg Ms. Jilly ! Good for you for saving the little guy ! Even though I am not a huge cat fan - they do have some very interesting characteristics. Percy I believe is Lord Voldimort in disguise ! He hates me - I offer him swiss cheese and it makes him gag - have you ever seen a cat gag - wayyyyyyyyy funnyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy !!!

Ohhh that is funny! (still laughing!). I'm not a cat fan either - this is the first (and last) in my life! hehe. Darn thing will probably out live me!! Yes! strange characteristics - Our Peppurr has a sweet tooth. He goes crazy for those twinkie jelly rolls. We have to refer to it in abbreviation (J.R.) so he won't know what we're talking about.

He absolutely goes goofy around green olives and when I'm cooking with olive oil - he performs with a lengthy & harrowing version of a mating call. Don't know what that's all about and I'm not going to ask!!

OMG Jilly - way weird - Percy will flat shred you for a green olive ! I kid you not, he is crazy about them - the bugger will eat a whole jar if you'd let him, except for the pimento. I eat lunch in the barn lounge alot and he always follows me in - he knows the olive jar, he doesn't scream for them but he grabs at your hands until you give him one. Must be a cat thing - all this time I just thought he was an idiot for liking olives. He does not however care anything about black ones. I guess he has brain damage too !:D
