Here's the problem - for the DP/LWOP penalty case. No one had heard the drowning story for three years - not a peep - not from Mr. Baez, who along with his client, insisted the child was "missing" all those long years with his face on any media show that would have him.

No one, repeat, no one heard the drowning "story" until Baez's opening statements.

On June 16th, the LE gave FCA every opportunity to say it was an accident, but no - not a peep, just denial and kidnapping...

Why not fess up at that time.....er..um...a little matter of the duct tape and the swamp...

You mean no one in the public had heard this for 3 years, PT and the A's knew about this prior to trial.

...the As heard it from the media...according to Cindy's own words. The DT came on boards like this and picked every wild theory they could find. Not terribly creative, but I guess they figured they only needed 1 person to buy it.

The A's heard it from their attorney. They stated so in trial.

That doesn't mean much to me. They said a lot of things in trial.

BBM

I brought the original posts in to keep this in context. When I reply to a post, another post comes in replying to mine, etc etc; it seems to get completely out of context for some that comment on the last post I made.

Just so the post stays in context I figured I'd reply with the original posting so there is an understanding why I posted what I did.

Ok, very good, now from the list of all the people we were introduced to, which person would benefit the most from the result of Caylee's absence?

How about instead of who "would" benefit the most, lets talk about who has benefited the most.

GA and CA as far as I'm concerned. Didn't they just get back from a paid cruise to the Bahamas, paid for by a concerned citizen of Orlando who thought they needed a break?

Who's received oodles and oodles of money from different TV interviews, rights to pictures, etc.?

Who has now received the ability to start a foundation that supports Grandparents rights? (which, in all honesty, I doubt will ever float; grandparents do not trump parents).

There are many more things the A's have gotten in exchange for the death of this adorable child.

Now, what has Casey Anthony gotten? Well, she's been sitting in jail for 3 years and now has to go into hiding because people in America want her dead. She can't do a single thing without people wanting to know what she's doing, who she's doing it with, and lets twist it in a way to make it look like she's flipping the American community off...

I am happy you are willing to walk through this Bec but I need for you to give direct answers to the questions for this to work. Trying to stay focused, one question at a time with a direct answer to the question is the only way it will work.
Now, at the time of Caylee's death, who benefited the most from her absence?

Well, since this is a different question...

If I were an outside person looking in, not hearing any of the details it would appear that Casey benefited the most at the time of her death. But, knowing some of the details that I know now, I don't think anyone in this case benefited at the time of Caylee's death.

If we're going to talk after Caylee's death, then the answer I posted above would be my answer.

IMO Caylee was not murdered therefore, the question of who benifited becomes moot as to motive. However, after the fact, the A's benefited the most. Again all MOO

ETA: And, pondering further, GA actually benefited from the cover up. Casey suffered from it all and continues to due to public opinion. Again JMO

I'm pretty sure Caligram was referring to questions the jury may have had for the Court. Had they asked for any clarification or had any questions whatsoever, it would have been made public via Court record. They didn't ask for clarification on anything, including the jury instructions (which they did NOT understand, IMO) or ask any questions at all of the Court.

(This thread has gotten quite redundant and downright silly. Before anyone asks me for a link or proof, this is my own personal opinion.)

Thanks Suzihawk. I agree with your assessment. It is impossible to argue with fairy tales and imaginings. For some (thankfully few) the facts in evidence are an unnecessary burden.

Caylee accidentally drowned (no evidence) to avoid a confrontation with Cindy (no evidence) and the whole thing covered up by Cindy and George (no evidence) and that Casey lies because she was molested by her dad and brother (no evidence).

Using no evidence, it is just as likely that Caylee was strangled by her evil head scarf and the brown teddy bear carried her off to the swamp. Casey covered it up and lied because she is really only an imaginary person.

As other attorneys have said, the case was lost upon jury selection. Some of the conjecture is remarkably disturbing. Ashton warned about the trip down the rabbit hole - but it was clearly taken... with a first class ticket.

I often wish we could bring John McEnroe aboard with his famous rant: "YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS!!!"

Murder...who said murder?

dissociation. IMO

Well if one was triggered by the types of incidents that caused the abuse...yes. BUT, BUT, BUT I have known 1000's of abuse victims...am one myself...the only killing I have ever heard about is the abuser.

I have never heard of a dissociation incident lasting 31 days.

How do you know this?

In response to your posted inquiry above BBM

Because the jury never asked any questions before they came up with their verdict.

:scale::denied:

Sure, they did ... they asked "When's lunch ?", "What time are we going back to the hotel tonight ?", and "Will I be out of here in time for my cruise on the 7th ?" ...

Since when is the pain of losing a granddaughter a "benefit" ... GA/CA loved Caylee with all their heart and nothing can replace her ... no money, trip to the Bahamas, or new foundation.

The "oodles" of money went to FCA's defense ... are the A's living in luxury now ? I live in Orlando and know their neighborhood is middle class at best.

FCA received what she deserved initially and been given the gift of freedom. It's too bad for her that a lot of us still think she's guilty and she has to hide. Well if you do the crime, you have to do the time no matter if you're in a state prison or a virtual prison created by your actions.

Not sure if this article was posted before or not,,,I've been avoiding any Casey discussions since the verdict but came across this article and it was worth the read.

Very informative - thank you. I had read that article earlier but was happy to have the opportunity to reread. I have in fact saved it for future reference.

Another article which I found equally informative is by Joe Navarro - former FBI officer.

Most perps have complete control over their victim. It can continue for years after the crimes. Deosn't surprise me that GA is telling her to talk to FBI. He knows she's not going to tell. He knows the visit is taped. He knows alot. As to evidence, there would be none as it pertains to Casey, one reason it goes unreported. As to Caylee, could be the reason for the coverup. Of course, I have no proof, but neither does anyone else on this board have any proof to their own theories. We will probably never know exactly what happened and why. However, having experienced similar, does help me come to my own conclusions. And I came to that conclusion in the first few days not just after DT OS which alot of posters like to throw at me. Lol. Again, Its all JMO

pcrum12 - I am so sorry that you had to go through the abuse you did....I too had an abuser with control over me...that stopped the day my husband was with me and my little sister dropped a fork at the dinner table....he watched both of us turn white as a ghost...because usually if you drop something at the table...you get beat. That ended the cycle...I was there to protect both my siblings...there is nothing that monster could have done to make me pbstruct justice in the killing of my child, my sister or anyone...so...I just do not see it and saw absolutely no evidence in the jail visitations that GA control FCA...it was the other way around....FCA controls that family and that is that.

That one instance does not mean that LE did not use the front door that night ! Where is the trial testimony that says that ?

Approximately 4:20 of this video is Acavedo referring to being in/around the garage, smelling something that she described as "a garbage type of smell".

Now, in the beginning of her testimony she does say she met Fletcher at the front door, so I may be wrong in assuming no one used the front door. But, my original point of LE going in and out of the garage still rings true.

ETA: Approximately 6:15 of same video she tells LDB she entered the home through the garage door so she passed the vehicle at some point in the evening.

I don't believe I stated the pain of losing their granddaughter was a benefit.

Read all of Lee Anthony's deposition (entered into evidence)

It will answer many questions.

http://www.wftv.com/pdf/21310241/detail.html

Referring specifically to the smell emanating from Sunfire: pgs 86-89

If I had to believe LA, or 3 police officers on scene... I'm sorry but I'm going to believe the 3 police officers that arrived that night. LA is an Anthony afterall.

Yep - probably best that you don't read it.
