Sounds like it went well. I couldn't make it either, loves2bmom, so we can hang our heads together :(

I didn't either. My knee went out so we had to set our move date back a week. I was packing until 2am and fell into bed. Got up at 5:30 for who knows what reason, looked at the clock, groaned, fell back asleep, turned off my alarm in my sleep at some point, and woke up for good at 9:30.... What a sloth I am. Figured by the time I drove an hour to get there it would be done. Looks to be the case.... Still feel bad. And for all the whining I do about wanting to do something more productive I didn't make it to something concrete I could have done to help. :loser:

There is always the fundraiser, and cooking is low on the list of priorities right now.

I looked at one of the news stories on the web and it said 75+ people..
(my estimate was a bit off, but I wasn't counting) =)

I would NOT feel bad for not being there!! =), there were just enough people to each grab a section and move it. Had there been more they would have just been standing around feeling helpless.

I think participating somehow in the fundraiser(s) will be very productive in helping to bring Kyron home..

Everyone here at WS is AWESOME!!! =) =)

One laminated note was written on vanilla-colored paper, in wobbly gray letters. "Hi Kyron, I don't know you, but I hope you come home soon, so you can have a fun summer," it says. The note is signed "Your friend, Matthew." Faintly in the corner it says, "6 years old."

Kaine Horman said he laminated many of the letters and hung them on the wall.

I'm definitely planning Godfathers Pizza night on the 1st. :)

Thank you RubyRed!! It's so nice when you do the pictures like that!

I have a question for anyone, in the pictures in my album of the Wall at the fire station, where Kaine is being interviewed .. who is the guy in the white sweatshirt and shorts? He looked really familiar and I think he is from MCSO..
I just cannot place his name!

He doesn't look like anyone I know! ;)
If I stumble on a photo that matches, I'll post it here.

It's not Mike Shults is it?? (stayed with the family early on) It's hard to see from the angle of your photo. ??

ETA: Deleted the photo of Det. Shults...I don't think it's him after seeing the video posted below. :)

Wow. So emotional. I'm not a crier, usually. But for some reason I saw the pics and imagined everyone singing "you are my sunshine" as they carried the fence down the road. I know this isn't the way it went down, but it felt right in my heart and brought me to tears nonetheless.

That is Mike Shults in this photo. Here's another one for comparison. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl...s+oregon+detective&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&tbs=isch:1

I'd do a side by side but off to get the kids hair cut before school. :)
Good Job staying out of the limelight! ;)

Someone mentioned they could imagine the people moving Kyron's wall singing.. You are my Sunshine.. That song reminds me so much of little Caylee Anthony as does the song Gone Too Soon...

Here is the song that for some unknown reason reminds me so much of Kyron..Perhaps it is because I think of him as being a... Beautiful Boy....

Freefallzzzz, did everything get wet? :(

It's pouring at my house right now.

No, thank goodness by the time we moved it, the weather cleared up a bit and it was WARM! =)
I heard talk of people bringing plastic and zip lock bags so I'm hoping those get put up.. I hung around for a while (plus I was stuck in the small parking lot and had to wait for ppl to leave because I cannot back out!) but I never saw anyone doing anything.

I'm SO glad the weather was nice for this!!! =)

Photos here, but I only took 2 with my cell, and got my camera after we moved it all.

Kaine Horman turned and looked at the resurrected chainlink fence, covered with handwritten prayers, stuffed animals, ribbons and messages of hope for his son, and said the display of support makes his heartache a bit easier to handle.

"This is great. Just to have it back up," Kaine Horman said.

I'm so glad the Wall of Hope helps Kaine.
