It is alleged Ron physically abused Misty when she deceived him into believing she was pregnant; imagine what she feared Ron would do to her if she told him she accidently killed his daughter?
It is very difficult to comprehend and accept Misty hit HaLeigh and she died as a result if the blood evidence in the home was removed with bleach and Misty was deceiving others by acting as a loving caregiver in public and totally opposite when she was alone in the home with them. A witness at the bus stop on 09/02/09 saw Misty slap a child in the van and she said she was tired of babysitting others children; yet during Mistys interview on the Early Morning Show, she said she felt ready to take on the responsibilities of a stepmom. A coworker of Ron's overheard Ronald telling Misty to "whip HaLeigh" when she wouldn't listen and I doubt Ron realized on his own or was warned by DCF that hitting a child could result in death if the child's head made contact with an object and to be extra careful when applying force onto a child.
Hi Bluesky! Now that I've been corrected and understand that Misty
was pregnant and miscarried (after having a "WOW moment"), I can difinately see how that could/would mess further, and potentially lethally, with the already troubled, and drug-addicted, mind of a seventeen-year-old girl. IMO, Ronald and Misty were more than likely abusive toward HaLeigh and Jr. No, I don't think it was the undisputable type of abuse, such as cigarette burns which, IMO, has only furthered helped justify and promote the use of other forms of abuse by parents. I do think it was physical abuse that involved alot of back-handing, spanking (whippin's), and pulling by the arm, etc., not to mention the mental abuse suffered by being witness to the disturbed behavior/interaction of/between Ronald & Misty.
When I heard Ronald, in the Geraldo interview, state that he has an agreement with his daughter ("father, daughter...") and describe how he spanks his children just the way that DCF said was the right way to spank your child (yeah right :crazy

, I knew then (for certain) that he was physically abusive to his child(ren). I believe (110%) that DCF has an extensive file regarding Ronald's Cummings/HaLeigh/Jr and someday, when we actually see those records (and I do believe we will - someday), there will be an over-abundance of evidence pointing to/toward the risk of a future tragedy occurring - and it did.
I look forward to the day when DCF will be exposed and held accountable in this case - instead they've allowed Crystal to take all the heat... shame, shame, shame on them. I'm not a very religous person as I grew up in a religous home rife with abuse (physical, sexual, and verbal), but there is one thing that I firmly cling to; There will be a day of reckoning. I just happen to believe that that day of reckoning is intended to happen here on this earth - not in the afterlife. I can/will never be content consoling myself with the thought/belief that if someone didn't "pay" for something in this life, they'll pay in the next one. When I saw Ronald's "Only God can judge me" sticker on his truck, I laughed. So predictable. Abusers cling to that notion, along with the forgiveness rhetoric. Those who rally around abusers repeatedly use those same ideologies hoping to make those who speak out about abuse/abuser feel bad and backoff or away from confronting the issue; from confronting the truth.
Re myself: save the logo's and sermons on forgiveness, don't waste your breathe and/or ink - I will judge and I do not forgive those who victimize children. JMO ~
