Theories discussion: What could have happened to Haleigh ? #6

RC has sided with misty through every inconsistent statement she has made. His actions are what is bringing many to consider him as part of the crime.

His volatile make-up leads us to think if he suspected and knew who harmed Haleigh, he would react in a not so pretty way. Despite LE's suspicions, rc has protected misty. Sound reasoning leads people to conclude he is not mad at misty for losing his daughter...why not? :waitasec:

Why is almost everyone else angry about her and her changing statements and failing polys and ron isn't?

So he either knows what happened to Haleigh and is at peace or he is crazy...and I am not ruling out crazy.

very well put indeed, and the only time we see or hear him is when he goes to court.......nothing else?

Sounds like the cast of a Whoopi Goldberg movie. Maybe TN will play Mother Superior.

No bessie, tell me it isn't so. Don't we have enough sleeze and drama in this case? They must make their families very proud!

I wonder if Misty has some sort of personality disorder. I know at one time there was discussion about Ron, i don't recall discussing Misty.

I see Misty is one way to her family, another with her friends, and another with Ron. JMO

When you think of it we have no facts to think misty is guilty either but we do.

I don't know Whisperer........3 failed LDT's have pretty much become a "fact" for me. Kind of like 3 strikes and you're out. JMO

I haven't followed this case very closely except for awhile in the beginning, but I still check in from time to time to see if she has been found or an arrest has been made. I just can't stomach these people. In this case, it's like a trainwreck I have no interest in watching. I feel so bad for Haleigh and the other children. I have to say that from the very beginning my sense has been that she was dead and that Ronald and Misty knew it too. I think they both know it was a drug related retribution of some sort. In all other cases I have seen when the parents truly don't know who took their child, they express fears that the child may be alive and enduring unspeakable atrocities, or that the child may be dead. In this case, they appeared resigned that she was dead from the get go, and still do. They don't speak of any worries that she is alive and being abused by someone. That made me think they KNOW who, what and why, since they automatically assumed she was dead. I really don't think she will be found in the near future, if ever, and I doubt an arrest for her murder will ever be made. No one will talk. jmo.

Accidents happen. Then the cover up began. IMO

ITA.. And as I see it, the accident came about due to Ron C's temper and his out of control need to prove he was in control..JMO

I see, I have read and re-read this snippet and felt for certain it was implying Misty left Haleigh and Junior in the home alone. Power of suggestion and perception. Thank you. : )

IMO, the reason Misty, her father, Tommy, and Lindsy are saying Misty wasn't at the trailer all evening is to protect her. This powerful suggestion by the Croslin’s that Misty left and HaLeigh vanished while she was gone, takes the heat off Misty who I believe hit HaLeigh when they butted heads and she died from a blow to the head. Misty's allegation that HaLeigh was taken when Ron's gun couldn't be found is a crock. The only reason in my opinion Timmy and Joe would take HaLeigh is because Misty killed her with excessive force and she called them for help and they are not the monsters Misty wants us to believe they are. LE said Misty had several conversations over the phone with Timmy. I believe the real reason Misty turned off her phone at 8:30 pm was because a tragedy occurred at HaLeigh’s bedtime, which was 8 pm, and Misty couldn't face telling Ron. If this is how HaLeigh died, Misty will be charged with first degree murder because she struck the fatal blow, not Ronald, even if he gave permitted Misty to “whip” his child. It seems like the van was driven in a heavily wooded area and many suspect HaLeigh is close to home which makes sense if Timmy and Joe were involved and wanted to dispose of her body asap and get the van back before Ronald returned home from work was initially to be at midnight and prop the back door to make it appear like an abduction had occurred in a home where there is no signs of forced entry. Joe may have picked up HaLeigh and carried her out of the house, but not for the reason Misty said he did.

A reasonable explanation for the Cummings family tucking Misty so tightly under their collective wings is necessary for this theory to work. The lies they've told and have now been discovered need explanation. The words and actions of Ron and his family make no sense if this theory is true.

In the beginning of all this I could never have theorized for a minute that Misty was capable of killing Haleigh and then convincing her brother to help her cover up this crime. As the past months events have unfolded it has become clear where Law Enforcement's focus is and has been. Misty has proven to be more calculating and complicated than I could have ever imagined.

I hope that Haleigh can come soon. I have hope, there are amazing people working on her case and they will not let Haleigh be forgotten.

I don't think RC ever wanted to marry Misty, he did so in my opinion to please his mother who was afraid her son may lose custody of his children or face other charges for the obvious. You may interpret them to have tucked Misty tightly under their wing but what seems possible to me, when I look back at the comments that were made to Tim Miller and others behind Misty's back and when TN or GGS thought Misty wasn't around to hear them, is that they suspected that Misty may not have been being forthcoming from the beginning and wanted to keep her right where they had her. JMO

I am not saying I agree with their tactics. I don't, I disagree with everything they have said or done to lead the public astray as far as their so called "support" of Misty Croslin. I don't think their actions were wise or make a bit of sense. But, I have the past year of arrests and rumors to look at and base my decisions on, How long had TN or GGS known Misty and her family? Why wasn't everyone paying more attention to who was taking care of Haleigh and Junior? Not just GGS and Teresa, everyone, Marie, Johnny and Crystal too. JMO

hi debs, IMO, the reason the Cummings family tucked Misty under their collective wings and LE for that matter is because at the beginning of the case they believed what she was telling them and they were deceived by her. What other explanation is there for Misty miserably flunking all her LDTs? Misty's calls were to Timmy Monday evening where cousin Joe was and the van. All the excuses Misty gave about the gun are bogus, as well as her reason for not accepting Ronald's calls shortly after HaLeigh's bedtime. IMO, the two people Misty would hurt if she was to tell the truth are Timmy and Joe who haven't taken LDT and are living far far away.

We know how important it is for a polygraph examiner to ask the "right" questions on a LDT. TMK, no one asked Misty during any of her examinations this key question: "Did you EVER use physical force to discipline HaLeigh when she was bad?" Why not? This is a fair question since she was alone with HaLeigh in the evening and stopped accepting Ron's calls shortly after HaLeigh's bedtime which was 8 pm. Misty might have had an argument with Ron but it is also possible she argued with HaLeigh and was afraid to tell Ron that she unintentionally killed his daughter immediately after it happened so she called Timmy, the brother she trusted the most who had the van parked in his driveway and cousin Joe at his side. Very convenient isn't it? Ron admitted he hit his children when he was asked but no one asked Misty. Why? A coworker of Ron’s heard Ron tell Misty to be rough with HaLeigh and show her who was the boss when she wasn’t doing as she was told. If Misty unintentionally killed HaLeigh during an argument, she will be charged with first degree murder which would scare the pants off of her. FWIW, why was Misty extremely nervous dealing drugs and Ron wasn't? Why haven't Timmy and Joe if they have nothing to hide, requested a LDT in order to clear themselves?

Well in fact, Teresa did tell Ron on one of the rare jail audios that she was proud of him.

I think everyone's theories are well thought out and any could be possible. We still come back to the problem though of why would rc protects misty. He walked with his arm around misty just a few hours afterwards. He changed his story everytime misty did. He coached her at times. He did not force her to talk to LE for almost six months when they wanted BOTH of them in to discuss this case. He defended smisty from the very first day when Psychology dictates one would be questioning her. He tells NG he never ask her about that night and believes her. He tell us she passed a poly. He tells us the door was broken into and could have been with a crow bar..!!!..crazy talk.

He then tells us he NEVERr saw the block before, he never goes in the back yard (exception; car washing) then says if he did see it, it wasn't where it was supposed to be. He never did drugs. He is a crane operator, he is not certified as one to my kge. To top it off, he hires a Criminal Defense Attorney to assist him and protect him.

In researching, the first attorneys he hired were not hired for the custody but for him and dealing with LE and the press. They took on the custody and bowed out gracefully when completed...saying they were glad to get out of the fray.

TM took heat from rc and family also. NeJame bowed out of helping him. GR exposed him and his family circled the wagons and it looked real bad for a few minutes. TN was leading the pack.

Sorry, but when I review these tidbits, rc has to be involved with Haleigh's disappearance.

100% agree. RC is has been keeping his alibi close to him (Misty). It's the entire reason for his odd bonding w/ Misty behavior and the marriage. Misty has been willing to keep his secret as long as she was getting what she wanted from him in return. Let's hope the tables turn and she finally blabs. Her dad is trying to egg that on in the jail videos, telling her that Ronald is just trashing her etc. and her mom telling her that Ronald has a girlfriend in the earlier videos. They want her to spill the beans on him too. jmo.

BBM

Because whatever happened they were in it together. (1st bold)

Again, because they were in this together. Or, if not, Ronald would have pinned her down and MADE her tell him. 2ND BOLD)

He then tells us he NEVER saw the block before, he never goes in the back yard (exception; car washing) then says if he did see it, it wasn't where it was supposed to be. He never did drugs. Well, Whisp, we know he is a lier. (3rd Bold)

Oh, she so was. She makes me sick.

between MC and TC and was killed (by accident) or; she got into their drugs and died. I believe they are sticking up for each other because of these reasons.

I must give you a great deal of credit about the address of TN (and many other things.) If you hadn't of pushed that, we, at this point would be no where. THANKS WHISP!!!

I had help. Thank you but it still doesn't get us very far. All it does is open up a speculation. If she retained both residences, we can't prove anything...darn I wish we could. All we know is she was regisgtered in Lady Lake/Fruitland Park.

Thanks for the compliment but I can't take full credit for the find.

No, whisperer, you were the one! Your know when you get a hard boiled egg, (I'm reminded of this because of Easter egg dying), any way, you have to crack the egg to get it out. YOU CRACKED THE EGG!!!!!!

To try and think what happened to this precious child is getting more difficult instead of less difficult.

The way it stands now, misty is #1 for a suspect that may have harmed Haleigh. To think that rc is involved doesn't take much effort but he is a very confusing person. First of all he lies and second he loves himself more than anyone else. He is an oger for making sure that people think he is a good father. Therein lies the problem

We get confused because he has a volatile temper and is protecting the number 1 suspect.

I am going to have to say I am confused between wanting to believe he harmed Haliegh and knowing in my gut that if he didn't, he may still act the same way, for he is just as interested in protecting himself as he is of looking like a real loving father. He lies, he hides, he conives. He could do all this for his own ego. He is that self-absorbed. He knows he would be found negligent for having misty babysit and he knows she would spill about his drugs.

If he is not involved in harming Haleigh, he sure has to know misty did and is willing to give up on Haleigh to protect himself. I don't see that changing at all.

Since misty is not choosing to come clean, this seals her fate in the court of public opinion. If she didn't fail all the tests, she may have got a reprieve. What we don't know is if rc failed also. I doubt he passed on many of the questions. He would rather sit in jail as a drug dealer (and proud of it) than sit at home and be accused of murdering his daughter. He is very willing and happy to serve time. He will play the sympathy card and buy the inmates friendship. His mother will keep him at the top of the hill by keeping him in money. Commissary privilges will keep him safe for a long time as he can trade and barter to buy protection. I am surprised because I thought he would go down kicking and screaming all the way. As long as he has people to control and can strut his stuff, he does fine. Lock him up away from everyone and he will go insane.

These two are turning out to be a lot tougher than most of us ever thought. I knew misty would be tough but I thought rc was a whiner and complainer. We have heard nada....hmm.

Gosh Whisperer, if I didn't know better, I'd think this was a psych evaluation for a couple of patients in the mental health/criminal facility I onced worked at! LOL

Spot on - we've come to know these characters pretty well over the past year but your words put their personalities and actions into perspective. At least that much about this case makes sense. Thank you!
