Theories On What Happened to Caylee Part #1

You all might want to read some of the theories under the thread:Ok, she does/did drugs, allegedly...

As laid down again in the "Nate" thread: many of us believe that she left Caylee in the car overnight to be with her boyfriend. She gambled with her daughter's life and lost.

sorry, last comment:

IMO, Cindy layed down the law with Casey and told her that they were the grandparents and not the parents, that Casey better shape up or ship out, because, if not, they would take custody. Casey has nowhere to stay, other than TonE's because she has no money, no credit on her own, is getting in deeper with stealing. TonE wants to see her alone, obvious to have sex with her. In his mind it is only sex. In her mind, it is the entree to living with TonE and her problems solved.

Several times in t.v. news the question of prior child neglect or abuse came up and it was reported that there had never been any cause for investigation in the past.

Cindy's brother Rick told it a little different. He said that GA was either asked to leave LE or was fired. He said the family could never get a straight story on it, and then his father let him work for him, until he threw him through the plate glass window. He maintains that GA has a serious gambling problem and that was why they lost their house in foreclosure.

Yes! Now I remember-- internet gambling.

I'm off-topic here but thought the info would be useful. I haven't been to FL or Universal, so I'm unfamiliar with how it's laid out. Someone, on another thread, did a reverse search on the phone# Casey gave to LE per the search warrant doc. 10 co.s came up, all with the address of 1000 Univ. Studios Plaza Building 22A. My guess would be a central reception area?

Universal Studios Plaza is a short road off of Turkey Lake Rd and it intersects with Backlot Blvd. Basically these are the administrative/business offices of Universal Studios and some soundstages and all the parking for employees. These buildings are located to the side of the Universal Studios theme park. A good way to see where this is would be to go to www.zillow.com and put in the address, the city is Orlando, FL and the zip is 32819. You can pull up a sky view of the entire park and these buildings to get an idea of the lay of the land. If you drag the picture from right to left with you mouse you can see the Universal Studios Theme Park. The guest entrance to the theme park is the red roofed buildings on the street called Plaza of the Stars. Across the lake from this is Universal Studios Citywalk which is the entrance to the park for guests and if you scroll the map southwest of Universal Studios Citywalk there is the Islands of Adventure Park.

I did not remember reading that..........It did say she was fired 4/24/06.

Thanks for the link, I was sitting here reading through the other statements. I noticed it did not say what her job was. She most likely was a ride attendant. LOL They don't hire high school drop outs for office work.

Casey worked as a photographer - she printed out pictures of park guests. Remember how she lied to Amy about working at Mummy and Amy worked at Mummy and knew she hadn't seen Casey there? That's The Mummy ride - it's a rollercoaster with animatronics and special effects. The camera takes your photo on the ride and the kids that work there print them out and sell them to you if you want your photo. She was subcontracted through Kodak - lots of Universal Studios employees are subcontractors.

I saw that someone posted here http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/news_local_orlandocrime/2008/07/live-video-of-c.html#more
that they think Casey may have accidentally left Caylee in the car in the heat and she died and Casey covered it up by burying her in a panic. Hence the awful smell in the car.

What do you think?

I think it is worse then just that, but we are in a similar direction.

I am afraid she gave the poor baby some Chloroform and put her to sleep in the trunk so that she can go party, do drugs, and go to bed with her boyfriend.
In the morning she went to the car to get what she hoped would be a sleeping baby and found a dead one. It is hot in Florida at night too.
I think that is when she panicked and got rid of the body.

I think the longer she does not speak the less of a chance there is to find her and then her hope is that she will get time fonly or negligence and also get off on good behavior in a year or so.
I think her parents know and are helping her.
They lost one, and hope to save this one.
It is all horrible:

PLEASE MOMMY TELL THEM WHERE YOU PUT ME!!!!!

I don't believe the premeditated murder theory. I don't think Casey actually had any motive to want to "get rid of" Caylee. All reports from friends/acquaintances/family indicate a normal, affectionate, caring relationship and decent care. And if Casey wanted to be "free to party" as the TV media have continually alleged, Casey could simply leave Caylee with her parents, she had no reason to "get rid of" her. For the same reasons, I don't think Casey would have had any reason to leave Caylee in a car while she partied or slept with a boyfriend or anything like that. For example, when Casey was staying at RM's with him, Caylee slept there also, she was not left in a car. If it came down to considering leaving Caylee in a car, I believe Casey would simply have dropped Caylee off at her parents' house before she would ever do that. That said, I think it's still a possibility that at times Casey and Caylee could actually have both stayed in the car, if friends' apartments were not available.

Casey had shared in the care of Caylee for 3 years while living at her parents' home, and no harm had come to Caylee during that time.

So what changed that could have led to the disappearance? When Casey moved out (most likely because her parents were pressuring her to do so), and took Caylee with her, both Casey and Caylee had to stay at friends' apartments because Casey didn't have the means to get a place of her own. Not only did both of those apartments (at least 2 apartments) have a few different people living in them, there were also those peoples' friends and acquaintances coming and going. When Casey was working for Tony at the club at night, or doing other work which hasn't been identified yet, or socializing, Casey didn't have money to pay a sitter, so she probably depended on various friends and acquaintances to watch Caylee. Due to Casey's age and lack of money and generally dependent and desperate circumstances, she may have been too trustful of someone. She may simply have the kind of personality that was too trustful or too disorganized in her thinking, and may therefore have become an easy target. I think the fact that Casey and Caylee were suddenly spending a lot of time at and staying at places with lots of people coming and going could be an important key to Caylee's disappearance. I hope the police have done forensics at the apartments involved and all the people's cars who stayed there or frequented those apartments, simply as a formality. Including the acquaintances of Casey's who did live at the Sawgrass apts.

I am still hoping that Casey had a friend take Caylee somewhere with them, or that a babysitter-acquaintance did take Caylee more or less in the way Casey described, or that someone Casey knows is holding Caylee for some other reason, for example, to keep her or Casey silent about another crime, and that Caylee is alive. I think Casey might have been trying to lead the police to the general location and crowd but without telling them the exact apartment number for fear of retribution of some kind. My opinion only. If someone in Caylee and Casey's life in the last weeks took advantage of Casey to get to Caylee, or took advantage of one of the young people who was watching Caylee, I fear Caylee could be deceased. Or it's possible that someone entrusted with the care of the child could have been intoxicated or had an anger problem and lost their temper with Caylee.

Or, an accident could have occurred during someone's watch, whether Casey's or a friend's. Again, my opinion only. Obviously most or all of these people are completely innocent, but all should be investigated, and forensics should definitely have been done in the apartments where Caylee had been, and people's cars, because it only takes one. Innocent people would be perfectly happy for this to be done. If the authorities did not do this and are not doing this, I am pretty shocked. Evidence could obviously disappear quickly.

p.s. I also don't think if Casey was ever looking to get chloroform that it was for drugging/doping Caylee. Too many other drugs much more readily available, probably longer-acting, cheaper or could even just be shoplifted, wouldn't leave any evidence trail on the internet, etc. Same with the murder-by-chloroform theory, no need to get chloroform to smother a child, and also no motive strong enough.

Let me start by saying, in NO WAY do I support KC and her web of lies, however, today in the bathtub (LOL where I do my best thinking) a thought came to mind about this case. I am wondering if someone else killed Caylee (intentionally or accidentally) and have threatened KC into silence or these lies? Maybe one of the many boyfriends? Maybe they used the choloroform on Caylee? I don't know, I am grabbing for straws, I just don't want to think that ANY mother could hurt their child. Naive, yes, but anyway, was just a passing thought....

shannon, just wanted to make a comment on the quote at the bottom of your post--I think Caylee named her doll mama because in the hispanic culture parents often call their little girls the nickname mama and I'd be willing to bet that Casey called Caylee mama.

I bet you are right. I know this is commonplace with spanish speaking friends of mine, both the mother and child calling each other "mama" as an affectionate name and this name is also used affectionately when addressing female friends.

seagull and Kimi, I think this is a very good alternate theory as I have posted similar thoughts before but probably not on this particular thread (if you'd like I can go back and retrieve those posts). You both have added the additional element of the numerous people always in and out of that apartment and it could be someone in there (your bad apple, as you say) who harmed Caylee. Perhaps someone was there who Casey didn't know.

Because of the hair banding DNA we know that it was probably Caylee who was in the trunk, but:

1. Who put her in the trunk?
2. If she was put in the trunk by Casey, even that does not conclusively prove that Casey killed her.

I didn't know kc was hispanic? just sayin....

kc should not have been so desperate for a sitter that she would leave her with just anyone. why would she need a sitter? she had no job.

sometimes people who are only 22-23 will be overly trustful of friends and acquaintances.
Regarding using the spanish nickname "mamma" for a child, Casey had a lot of Latino friends and Latino culture is a common influence in Orlando. Don't know if that is why Caylee called the baby doll "mamma" but it's one possibility.

Earlier on I was going to make the comment that it would be my opinion that Caylee could be part hispanic, or

One of Casey's past boyfriends is hispanic so he could have called Caylee mama.

I still don't know whether Casey was totally unemployed. We know that she was at the club a lot, involved in Tony's promotions there. Maybe not a paid job but still... I've also wondered whether there was other work that has not been made public yet. No telling. But even a 23 year old without a job might occasionally go out with friends and need a sitter. For example I think there was a discussion on one thread that Casey and AH had discussed how if they lived together one of them would be available during the day for Caylee and one during the night, because of their different schedules. Not sure if I am quoting that accurately or the source.

She needed a sitter so she could go party, be alone with her boyfriend and her parents did not want to watch Caylee all the time so that Casey could do these things.

Casey definitely should have left Caylee with her parents while she tried to make her life in the world for the first time, but I think she feared them getting custody. Or maybe she had other personal reasons for not wanting to leave her behind, i.e. didn't want Caylee to think she abandoned her, didn't want Caylee to forget she was her mom, etc. Or even, maybe (since they had filed for divorce the year before) maybe they were arguing a lot at the house and she didn't want Caylee to be witness to it. Or maybe she was also bitter at being forced out of the home and felt like if her parents were going to force her out they should not get to keep Caylee. Maybe a little of all of these.

not after Caylee went "missing".......and I think every bit of information casey gave about any employment, and even testimony her mom gave at the bond hearing turned out to be false. I think the "I left her with somebody and they took off" theory can be ruled out, as casey, excuse me, cindy did not report this for 31 days. As far as Caylee being taken as a result of covering up another crime, it will be interesting to see how long casey stays silent in prison to protect the "kidnappers".
