there are so many things that could have happened! i saw something the other day when i was reading a post somewhere, please let me know if anyone has heard the same.

RC was seen at a store about an hour prior to the scheduled time he is suppose to get off from work, the night HC went missing.

I have 'heard' that (read it actually on several sites) but I have yet to find anything that backs that up. That is part of what is driving me crazy. They say he was accounted for (LE), but that 'rumor' if you will is hanging out there... nothing as far as I can tell has squashed it, except for LE saying that the were satisfied that he was at work. But then why is him being seen an hour before 'out there'?

Sooo much just does not add up here. How I wish someone was talking. A single clue could allow us to understand so much more of the situation.

Also, why in the radio calls that were released, does the officer state that Haleigh was just seen 1.5 hours before? By whom? If that is true, then that really narrows down the time that she could have been taken. Who on God's green earth was up at 2am or so to last see Haleigh? MC says that she last saw her at 10pm when she went to bed, so who was it that reported her seen between 1am and 2am?

Gosh how I'd like just one answer.

If he didn't know Spousal Priviledge didn't apply when he married, he found out soon after.

I believe it was on NG that a caller made the comment and he denied that had anything to do with it.

You know, I heard that too on NG, and I am trying to figure out, was that before or after the marriage happened?

I dunno... but if RC was involved and keeping his own counsel, perhaps he really didn't know? It would be an odd question for him to ask someone, right?

The entire marriage just seems so weird. I read somewhere else that MC was going to break up with him - Dunno what kind of rumor that is nor do I remember where I read it (sorry), but this is all just too hinky.

Someone who posts here has a tag that says "If there is hinky, there must be stinky" - I love that tag, and could not agree more! :waitasec::waitasec:

That "couch bouncing" comment also really got my attention, and as hard as this is for me to contemplate, it made me think that what if MC was partying with someone in the house (or came back home with) and then passed out, and that other person was then abusing Haleigh, not MC, on the couch? Then knowing that Haleigh would tell, removed her from the scene? Ugh, I could cry even typing this thought.

Don't you just wish we had access to a truth serum, and could find out the absolute truth in every one of these cases? Please hurry God, I sure need some closure soon :crazy:

This was my theory as well. I've been going on the guess that someone gave RC some really really bad advice as far as spousal privilege goes.

RC is doubly screwed in this respect. 1. He got married ex post facto, and 2. The crime in question involves a child.

Both nullify any benefit.

I agree! He MUST know by now, right? Now that he has a lawyer and all that he must know now. So either way, I guess the only reason it matters is because it was so weird and 'out there' and most people agree that if their child was missing, they would not be able to eat let alone think about a marriage at that time.

The other thing that makes me think about my theory (that RC had the major hand in it), is this: He is married, he is moved (right, he said he can't go back to that home and he is looking into a house now? Renting maybe, but still), he has not returned to work even though they were willing to give him time off (I am assuming this was proved, I am pretty sure I read it here)... it really sounds to me like someone getting on with their life. Like someone who can't wait to get on with their life. Know what I mean?

If it were my child, I would stay, right in the home we shared, for as long as it took to get my child back or find them :-( I would not leave... I would want everything exactly as it was so when my child returned, he or she would be in familiar surroundings, with things they loved. To me, moving so fast after this happened... it feels like "Now I've got that out of the way, lets finally have the life I've wanted for a long time now" - does that make sense?

Sometimes I ramble... I get an idea in my head and when I type it out I am surprised to find its 16 pages long lol. I am sorry in advance for that!

Oh wow, {{HUGS}} to you because I know that hurt to even think it let alone write it out. Its possible the abuse would have led to death right there too. A sheet covering the couch, abandoned in the woods (I did read that on a news site - that it was found not that it was on the couch, want to be clear on that), and then a body dump. Ugh, that is hard to swallow.

i would like to know a little more in terms of RC and his job. Is there a supervisor actually on duty that can account for RC being at work his ENTIRE shift? have not heard anything on that either, but it really makes you think. i know LE says they are satisfied, but i can't get past why he would protect MC if he isn't in on it somewhere down the line.

Regarding the 'marriage", several of the sleuths here seem to be checking the county records and no one has yet seen the actual marriage license filed. (That I have seen). Makes me really question whether this marriage thing is real, if Misty just thinks i'ts real, or it just takes longer in their county to have things such as this show up as filed. Wouldn't it be a game changer if marriage isn't real. And RC is setting up Misty. This isn't a rumor, just another theory.

Yes horrible. I have a six year-old. And like w Sandra Cantu, I can not FATHOM how anyone can LOOK at an innocent child and want to harm, much less abuse them and end their precious lives in such a brutal fashion.

Just want to add that Misty needn't have even been present either--this could easily have occurred eg were she away from the home and had left the children alone. The question I have ALWAYS wanted to know was, when Junior saw all and heard these things, WHERE WAS MISTY...??????? JMO

But it seems to me that RC is protecting RC and no one else. I don't know what happened in my head since I first started to think all of this because for so long I was sure it was MC, but now, I just don't think it was her alone.

The reason I think that RC is protecting just RC (and please correct me if I am wrong in this thinking) is because 1) the marriage 2)the fact that he has a lawyer and he did not get one for MC (Or did I hear that wrong? Please correct me) and... I thought there was a #3 but now I can't recall.

I would really like some of the work questions answered at least. I would like to know if he WAS really seen at a gas station/store 1 hour before his shift ended at work. I would like to know WHERE he was for that 1 hour if he was not at home and not at work (IF he was seen there at the store/gas station).

It is almost too hard to come up with theories when nothing is being confirmed. It really could be almost anything. and I'm so confused!

You make some very excellent points. Any person should know that when a child goes missing, LE will be there and looking at everything you do. There really is no way a thinking person could think that they'd kidnap their own child and NOT get caught. That would not make sense for either RC or CS. So it looks like Custody and Revenge against CS can almost probably be stricken out as motives.

So that leaves an RSO/SO and Money as improbable as that actually is.

The reason I can't in my own mind rule out money for motive, is... what if RC or MC sold the use of Haleigh (maybe drugged her) in some way shape or form? Sort of like (and this is making me sick to my stomach to even complete the thought) "I'll give you 15 minutes with her for $50". And then an accident happened during that time and she died.

Gosh this has probably already been hashed out here, and I'm sorry for that! I honestly have tried to read every post about Haleigh before I started to contribute, but I am sure, positive that I've missed some.

Now about the marriage statement, Thank you for locating that What other crimes do you think he would want to protect himself from by marrying MC? Or do we not speculate on that here because its unrelated to Haleigh?

He seems to have some odd goings on that is for sure. I read the arrest history that someone here posted, and WOW. I didn't even know you could get pure opium in the US. He sure was into a lot of stuff... a lot of different drugs showed up in his possession on that report. But like other posters mentioned, I don't think this was a case of a drug deal gone bad and kidnapping Haleigh to get back at RC.

I am so glad I decided to finally post. It feels good to be able to talk this out, and get more of an understanding, go back and think it over again and have someone who will listen. My hubby thinks I am nuts. With Caylee Anthony, I was all over the web trying to find info, and I told him I do this in my Spare time at work - he laughed. To me, its so important. I am going to be a mother myself soon, and I would DIE if anything like this happened to one of my children. All children are precious, ALL of them.

I am praying that this isn't, as some have suggested, a situation where they watched the CA case and got ideas.

Ok, back to work for 15 minutes I may not be back again tonight - I have a zoo of animals to take care of - but I will be back tomorrow to research and respond!

What you said makes sense, and truth be told, I had trouble understanding her too. Now if only we could get someone to say "Yes it was a misunderstanding, the officer misheard MC" or SOMETHING. Know what I mean?

there is a property owner named Larry S M Sr who owns

115, 119 & 131 Buchanan (just behind Haleigh's home) ---- he also co-owns other properties with G M K, and with R E M. Incidentally lot 131 is a vancant lot at the circle of Buchanan closest to the river that actually has a dock there.

I'm not certain it's his son but there is a L S M, JR - birthdate 7/21/68 - Florida driver's license shows Hollister, FL - who has a lengthy criminal record both in Florida and South Carolina - that includes KIDNAPPING, ASSAULT, DRUGS, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, etc. Some of the charges were abandoned. However, I also found an online article from 2007 where he is on a Most Wanted List in Lexington County South Carolina for criminal domestic violence "of a high & aggravated nature." He's described as 5'9", 175#, blond hair/blue eyes. He has a Florida record in Clay County and Putnam County.

I am "bumping" this earlier post by txsleuth and "coming full circle" since I'm stuck on the fact that the route dogs tracked Haleigh's scent is a circuitous one, for which we have absolutely no explanation. Along w JWG's tracking dog route map... (Note: red line represents "alternative route" between Green La to Buffalo Bluffs St. since this portion of dog's route was redacted from police report, but I've disregarded referring instead to the blue line along Tyler which we know Haleigh traveled daily en route to bus stop and back.)

Yet another theory... keeping in mind the stretch of Tyler St. in blue is the same route that Haleigh traveled to and from bus, this leaves loop back to pond (and outbuilding), as well as mysterious portion of Buchanan, to account for. Why haven't we heard more re walk back to pond? Did Misty (or any other adult) accompany Haleigh (and other children) back to the pond that day? For all we know, Misty could have been partying w JO (bro, or whomever) in house (outbuilding, van, wherever) while Haleigh played outside. After Haleigh was remembered and rescued the van could have been used to go back on that trail where it was scratched. We just don't know when nephews/neighbor children left or if Haleigh ventured back outside before dark, whether anyone was w Haleigh in eve etc. Or may have drowned in this POND (or any other body of water w/in close proximity to trailer). I am starting to really think this is possible--that she could have been discovered, but then removed and relocated. Also a horrible thought but I hardly think just because a child's been obviously drawn to and fallen in water before (canal if it's true) that a near-drowning waterproofs a child... Could there have been a drowning covered up that evening since there was already similar incident (or accusation) of this nature, fear of losing custody of Jr. etc?

WHAT or WHO is WAY UP THERE on BUCHANAN CR? WHO DOES HALEIGH, RON or MC KNOW IN THAT AREA OR THAT DIRECTION? WHY A FULL CIRCLE? WHY WAS HALEIGH SO FAR FROM HOME? WAS SHE LED THERE BY A STRANGER? WHERE WAS SHE TAKEN? Is there a BOAT? Abandoned RV? BIG DRUG PLAYER? FORMER NEIGHBOR OF RON? Another SO we don't know about?? As you can see, my theories are still all over the place... :banghead: JMO

Getting back to dog's route and farthest point on Buchanan... WHAT--or WHO--is way up on Buchanan Cir? There's our answer. There's NO reason for Haleigh to be so far from home. I don't believe she just travelled in this circle randomly. If she was ALIVE at this point (remember, this is route by tracking not cadaver dogs) I'd like to know WHAT OR WHO IS THERE--this is assuming KJ and his residence were both investigated THOROUGHLY).

Is there a BOAT there? Is there a DUMPSTER there? (Where on this map would dumpster dogs alerted on be located btw?) Is there an RV THERE? Is there an abandoned HOUSE there? FOR WHAT REASON DOES DOG'S TRAIL APPEAR TO GO IN CIRCLE THERE??

Could a TRACKING dog--having tracked Haleigh's living scent half way (ie in one direction) around the loop, continue tracking either her dead scent-- and/or scent of Haleigh on perp if he returned another route after Haleigh was hidden/deceased?

What if someone picked up Haleigh and walked/drove in one direction as they left en route somewhere but traveled the other way around the loop w her (alive or dead) after taking her wherever he took her. Will TRACKING dogs instantly lose scent once in vehicle?

Last, this isn't in direction of Lindsy's (other direction toward bus stop on Tyler St) The only ones we know of on Buchanan is LSM family properties (Sr. is owner of 3 properties on Buchanan, and his sister's long wooded lot that stretches between Green La. & Buch. Circle.)

What/who else could be there--another SO we know nothing about? Former neighbor of Ron? Bigtime drug player? Or access to boat? THAT'S what's bothering me Haleigh could have been led one way initially but then taken (perhaps after dark) either on foot or by car to where a boat was picked up--at which point her scent is lost. Sorry I know, I'm obsessed, it just makes no sense to me. I'm still fixated on this point, I can't shake it, nor explain it away, any other way. JMO
