Thank you for the map.Who did they know that lived on Buchanan?Maybe some one put her near the dumpter untill they could get a car to take Haleigh away to some where else.Just curious where did Rons sister live?

Interesting that you brought up Ron's sister. I didn't know anything about her until earlier this evening, and she does seem like a potential participant.

My current theory seems to go to Haleigh finding some sort of drug that she thought was candy (valentine's day). All that "cleaning" we keep hearing about might include getting rid of any more. RC seemed surprise that JR was okay, maybe knowing his son's love of candy also.

The question then is getting rid of the body, and since I'm not familiar with the area and did not closely follow this from the beginning, can't guess at too much though the dumpster or the mystery boat I've read about sound possible.

The other part of who knows what, I have ideas. We know about MC and her changing stories. I have also put together at least one by RC of when he knew what about the musical beds. Even while just watching an occasional NG that MC had more company that night, so really think there is at least one more person involved.

A long-shot might be RC's sister and companion, and JR might have been more asleep than awake and didn't realize who "the black man" was.

So, RC leaves work early, and is seen at a store/gas station 1 hour before he should be getting home. His accomplice is already taking care of business with Haleigh, and RC is seen and has an alibi.

You're doing everything right....you just need to have so many posts before you can see images uploaded from other members' own computers. However, to give you a hand....If you look at Kiki's map, you'll see the two roads, Monroe and Tyler. Where they form an L (monroe going north and Tyler heading east) you'll see what appears to be a rectangle to the right of Monroe. In this rectangle, you'll see white buildings/RVs....it is within that rectangle that the dumpster was located.

As to the other request to put on the location of Ron's camp and Misty's mom's house......I can't help anyone with that....I don't know where they were at.

What you said makes a lot of sense Titan. But here is what I am wondering - did we see any confirmation of his hours? And is it possible that RC was at work and left early, but the fact that he was at work and/or had a reason to leave early was used as an alibi?

I am not sure how to say what I am trying to say. Being seen at 2am (or whenever) could be part of the alibi and we just don't know because no one is saying anything? Is it possible that it was just left out of the reports to the public because all they wanted was a confirmed alibi, so deem it not important to explain exactly what he was doing and where he was?

Of course that would make the 2am sighting moot, if LE knows already, has checked it out and are satisfied that RC had an alibi. I think what is messing us all up is not hearing anything confirmed from LE sources.

Getting back to dog's route and farthest point on Buchanan... WHAT--or WHO--is way up on Buchanan Cir? There's our answer. There's NO reason for Haleigh to be so far from home. I don't believe she just travelled in this circle randomly. If she was ALIVE at this point (remember, this is route by tracking not cadaver dogs) I'd like to know WHAT OR WHO IS THERE--this is assuming KJ and his residence were both investigated THOROUGHLY).

Is there a BOAT there? Is there a DUMPSTER there? (Where on this map would dumpster dogs alerted on be located btw?) Is there an RV THERE? Is there an abandoned HOUSE there? FOR WHAT REASON DOES DOG'S TRAIL APPEAR TO GO IN CIRCLE THERE??

Could a TRACKING dog--having tracked Haleigh's living scent half way (ie in one direction) around the loop, continue tracking either her dead scent-- and/or scent of Haleigh on perp if he returned another route after Haleigh was hidden/deceased?

What if someone picked up Haleigh and walked/drove in one direction as they left en route somewhere but traveled the other way around the loop w her (alive or dead) after taking her wherever he took her. Will TRACKING dogs instantly lose scent once in vehicle?

Last, this isn't in direction of Lindsy's (other direction toward bus stop on Tyler St) The only ones we know of on Buchanan is LSM family properties (Sr. is owner of 3 properties on Buchanan, and his sister's long wooded lot that stretches between Green La. & Buch. Circle.)

What/who else could be there--another SO we know nothing about? Former neighbor of Ron? Bigtime drug player? Or access to boat? THAT'S what's bothering me Haleigh could have been led one way initially but then taken (perhaps after dark) either on foot or by car to where a boat was picked up--at which point her scent is lost. Sorry I know, I'm obsessed, it just makes no sense to me. I'm still fixated on this point, I can't shake it, nor explain it away, any other way. JMO

I did some searching on how tracking dogs 'work'. Here is one thing I found that may help you out:

Instead the dog may follow the scent trail which may drift away from the actual track. My dog Oso typically tracked about six feet from the actual footsteps. At first I thought this was a bad thing, but my instructor explained what he was doing. If he had been preparing for a different style he might have been required to ignore the scent trail and focus only on the footsteps of the track layer."

That makes me wonder about the scenting at the dumpster.

A correctly trained scent selective Bloodhound can easily track persons on a bike or motorcycle or in a motor vehicle.

I have yet to find anything on what would cause a tracking dog to lose its scent, or for a scent to go in a circle like what you described above. I will keep looking.

I haven't read anything about a scent dog's ability to pick up scent from freshly laundered clothing/blankets. You're absolutely right. It is a mess.

The "2 a.m." siting is one of those that I'm tending to put into the rumor circular file. It wouldn't be that hard to add a location if he was actually seen. Also, he doesn't seem to think that he needs any other alibi than he was at work. Bringing in a 2nd alibi at this point would put out the biggest red flag we have had so far.

yes, well according to Misty's story of that night, she laundered the blankets at 8pm, and then covered Haleigh with them at 10pm when they were done. But... of course just because she said she covered her with them doesn't mean she DID IN FACT cover her with them. So, they could have started out this entire investigation based upon a lie (those blankets were covering that child that night). At best the dogs didn't have a strong scent to work with, worst case - they had no scent of Haleigh to begin with.

the point is, who knows????? I don't think the scent trail from the dogs is reliable enough to even base a theory on.

The main reason I believe this is simply because: the police have not implored the local public to be vigilant of a dangerous mysterious child predator in their area.

If a complete stranger had just appeared in the middle of the night in this tiny area, broken into a home and stolen a child from their bed, I'd image the police would be howling for people to lock their doors, arm themselves, be on the look-out for this mysterious stranger. There would be security in the trailer park, at the local school, anywhere children would gather. This just hasn't happened.

I'm not sure whether or not Haleigh is still alive. If she is, then where the heck is she? Children have to eat, get some sort of fresh air, move around. They have to be seen at some point, even if just for a quick moment. After all this time, she'd be wondering where mom and dad are, why she isn't going home soon. She'd be getting anxious and acting out.

It makes more likely sense that she is no longer alive and her body may never be found. I think R&M believe they've pulled off the perfect crime, but it will catch up with them some day.

Most work places have time clocks where the employees run thier time card through the clock and it stamps the time. They do this when they come to work...when they take a dinner break...and when they leave for the night or day. You really can't cheat on those clocks and that is the purpose of companys having them.

What would their motive be? There is the possibility that LE have warned the town to be careful or maybe they just don't think she was abducted and feel there is no need to warn people. There is the chance they are mistaken though.
