I received a new blog from Lisa this morning and I’m sure you’ll want to read it. Day 33 contains a report given by OP to Dr Versveld (the orthopaedic surgeon who amputated OP’s legs) as to the current condition of his stumps together with the doctor’s findings.

http://juror13lw.wordpress.com/

A comment from your link:

"Versveld says that is improbable for OP to move around and do the things he said he did that night night in the dark, and according to OP it was pitch dark and he never once fell which is in total contradiction to what his expert witness testified.
Witnesses also testified they saw lights on in OP house and even if the bedroom light was off the states case and OP is that the balcony light was on.
The state also says the curtains were never closed and were found open by police.
The state also has witness saying the bathroom light was on, so these 2 lights would create enough light for OP to see.
That is why he never fell that night, it was light......
In the panic and rush of his version you would expect him to fall , especially when he climbed over the bed and checked the curtains for RS, the floor was covered with items.
The reason all this is important it because its quite obvious the lights were on and that is important because it shows they weren’t asleep which ties in with her eating 2 hours before her death and the argument."

Thanks for the link JJ!
Nel was like a train running over this Dr Versveld IMO.
The dear Dr helped the State.

Hello again to all, cant believe how close we are now.
Sorry if already posted but there is a great video at this link of Alex Crawford having a walk around Oscar's now empty former house, his bedroom seem's much smaller than i previously thought it to be, makes his story seem even more ludicrous if that's possible.

http://news.sky.com/story/1331851/inside-the-house-where-pistorius-killed-reeva

Erie and sickening to realize Reeva wasn't even worth the obvious truth.
All for the sake of his majestic self and stuff which are now gone -
like her.

I sincerely hope Reevas' blood curdling screams reverberate through his ears for the rest of his pathetic life.

It was on twitter, I will see if I can find something.

... Arnold Pistorius owns a farm in Mozambique and the family wants Oscar to move there to get out of the media spotlight. This is why they want the North Gauteng High Court to give Oscar his passport back. ... They have pointed out that it’s unreasonable for Oscar to not be allowed to talk to his neighbours at the Silverwoods Country Estate. Many of his neighbours will be called to testify. ...

http://www.iol.co.za/news/crime-courts/oscar-s-uncle-wants-to-take-him-to-moz-1.1484657

Wouldn’t Uncle Arnold want Oscar to move to that farm in Mozambique even MORE to avoid PRISON?

The family was already showing its hand with escape plans way back in March last year.

And that challenge to the bail conditions worked like a charm. OP did indeed “talk” to his neighbors - of all the ear witnesses, his immediate neighbors to each side did the least damage, if any at all.

BIB .. I think that is what OP is hoping that the judge will believe too, muddying the waters is imperative to his defence .. but .. that isn't the evidence provided by witnesses .. the evidence is just as you stated, i.e. that he went upstairs both *before* and *after* the paramedics arrived. We know what he did on the second trip (i.e. fetched Reeva's ID from her purse/bag) but I am intrigued to know exactly what his first trip up there was all about (which I am almost certain was some kind of crime scene tampering, and I'm pretty sure it was the opening of the bathroom window .. that was the only one thing he had to ensure in order to fit his 'intruder' version, everything else he could always work out a story around later on).

bbm
when roux does his cross with dr. stipp re: the bathroom window [starting 27:10ish], note how he attempts to lead the window being open 3 times [29:17][30:15][32:05]. stipp's first answer: 'it didn't strike me as open'. roux then gets dr. stipp to concede not noticing whether it was open or closed.

two things. 1. if open, illumination in the window would have been different [brighter] in the left side to the right side. 2. if the window had been open, dr. stipp would have had a clearer view of op as he moved from the frosted right side, to the open left side.

Am going through the defence HOA. They hotly contest the placing of fans and how the police tampered with them.....but cannot explain why col van rens was never taken to task over it during their xexam

Ok so for 1 sec lets believe oscar, the fan was not in front of the balcony door, and was in fact where the duvet was. So is he saying he ran from bathroom to balcony WITHOUT tripping/bumping into the fan which was in FRONT of the bed and in his way to get to the balcony.....in PITCH dark wielding a gun??? Even if his version was true, he still would have been obstructed by the fan while on his way to the balcony! His bedroom is not a huge room, it's quite small!

So it cannot be reasonably possibly true.....

Exactly, Saraomar! Police “tampering” was never an issue till Nel got hold of OP! This is crystal clear proof of OP tailoring evidence.

Worse, Defense cannot rationally explain why police would tamper with any crime scene evidence when they did not even know OP’s story.
Hell, even OP didn’t yet know his “version(s)”!!!

Why did OP allegedly go all the way to the balcony to yell for help? Why not yell for help out the OPEN bathroom window?! Not to mention that if OP had really wanted “help” he would have IMMEDIATELY called Netcare and police first - not his buddy Stander.

Just because a country, Mozambique for example, does not have a formal extradition treaty with another country, South Africa, that does not mean that Mozambique would give OP safe harbor and allow a convicted murderer to roam its territories freely. Diplomatic exchanges between the two governments would have OP sitting in a Mozambique jail cell until he was expelled back to South Africa.

OP should really consider a more extreme country to flee to, North Korea would be ideal!

I doubt Kim Jong Un would want that crazy, gun-waving madman in his country!

Ok. So in this interview the police call in person and phone at 07:30 that morning to tell Reeva's parents. It's from an interview in Feb 2013. I'll keep researching! Perhaps I can find the Carte Blanche interview.

ETA (1): Estelle transcribed the Carte Blanche programme dated 24 Feb 2013 in which June Steenkamp was interviewed (the link to the programme video no longer appears to work) here.

The relevant bit is this:

June Steenkamp (Reeva's mother): "I had a phone call at half-past-seven that morning. And the man said to me, 'Is your... what's your name?' And I said, 'It's June.' And he said: 'Do you have a daughter?' And I said, 'Yes.' And he said: 'Reeva?' I said, 'Yes.' He said, 'There's been an accident and she's been shot.' And I said, 'All I want to know now is if she's alive or is she dead.' And the man said he was with the police, and he said, 'I'm sorry I have to tell you, but I don't want you to go out and read in the papers... she's dead.'"

So from this I think it's reasonable to accept that June Steenkamp was told on the telephone at 07:30. Now to figure how Botha got Reeva's Passcode at that time in the morning and if he really used her phone to place the call.

ETA (2): There were plenty of hacks around on the iPhone 4 at that time to bypass the iPhone Passcode. I recall trying one myself and it worked. A quick google (setting the date to 14 Feb 2013) showed a number of examples, so the police could easily have been aware of quick ways in. This could well account for the GPRS activity on 5353 at 07:28 onwards, as Botha moves about with the phone and the signal quality changes or the hack itself causes the signal to falter.

When Botha says "use her phone to phone her mum" I think he means to get the phone number rather than place the call. I'll leave it at that.

just as an aside Mr. F
re: op phone records and airplane mode etc, you may be interested to read from op's book:
"my daily routine is relentless, and sometimes it’s hard to keep it up - not so much training, but sleeping, for example. i’ll get to bed on time, but then i find it hard to rest: there are films i always want to see, books i want to read. i actually took the television set out of my bedroom, and programmed my phone so that i couldn’t send texts late at night."

... [Oscar Pistorius] told the New York Times that when a house security alarm went off recently, he grabbed the gun he kept by his bed and crept downstairs. It turned out to be nothing, the paper reported. Pistorius seems like exactly the sort of person who might shoot first and ask questions later. ...
http://www.slate.com/blogs/crime/20...ty_fair_story_shows_that_oscar_pistorius.html

Did OP put on his legs FIRST*, before creeping downstairs?

Apparently, he had no problem opening and exiting his bedroom door in the middle of the night to go investigate strange sounds.

* It takes him 27 seconds to put on his legs. But for some bizarre, unexplained reason, and as “terrified” as he was, he felt he didn’t need the clear advantage of his legs to go confront “danger” in the pitch black bathroom. Seriously, does that sound anxious and vulnerable?!

.........................
http://www.timeslive.co.za/local/20...double-just-52-days-after-shooting-girlfriend
The disgraced Olympic superstar zoomed in on an FHM cover girl at a party just 52 days after the Valentine's Day killing at his Silver Woods Estate home in Pretoria last year.

Bizarrely, the object of his attention, Kesiah Frank, bears a striking resemblance to the slain woman.
...........................

With your permission, I have added the party event 52 days after the murder - April - Mylady may have seen/heard in the news/newspaper.

This one damning incident alone pretty much says it ALL about OP.

This was not a man in love, holed up at his house, praying and reading his Bible, grieving for his lost beloved. This is a cold-hearted, selfish predator, a guy who can easily forget his dead lover and simply move on to the next.

He seems to have a very weird fixation on a very specific female “type”. It’s creepy and very revealing - everything and everyone must be a certain way ... his way.
His seeming total lack of conscience is one of the hallmarks of a sociopath (just like the VIP Room incident in July, he knew going out in public and doing what he did would be made public but he didn’t care).

Honestly, I don’t know how any woman in SA could ever warm up to this guy - he would absolutely creep me the f##k out. You’d always be looking over your shoulder, wondering if you were next. How could any woman ever trust him or feel safe around him?

If he walks, guaranteed we’ll see his name in the headlines again.

If he furthermore likes to confront everything and everyone, then he maybe a real victim one day, with a shoot to his head or chest.

Thanks sleuth-d, that's interesting. I'll have a think about what he's saying and when he said it.

ETA It looks like the book was originally published way before Feb 2013 and all updates are also prior to this. So at best he referring to his Blackberry phones. But it does indicate an interest in using phone settings.

If Kim Jong Un needs staff for his execution squad (mini job ) then Oscar would be welcome.

yes, although the original version was published 2008... this comes from an updated version and a chapter dealing with the lead up to london2012. having said that, the comment is not date specific, i was merely highlighting that he has knowledge of [and has used previous methods to] blocking texts.

I’m kinda surprised someone hasn’t nailed him already. He’s only escaped repercussion because of who he was.

With his nasty attitude and aggressive personality, he really is cruising for some serious hurt. Should he be freed, I think he will be a definite target - he’s now the notorious killer of Reeva Steenkamp.

He no longer has the mantle of “Blade Runner - SA’s Golden Hero” to protect him. His new status is worse than a mere ‘nobody’ (you and me) - he was a “god” who’s now persona non grata. The most stunning thing is he did it all to himself.

If the Court fails in its verdict, justice can be meted out in many ways (slow, social ‘death by a thousand cuts’ may be one of the worst). Hell, he might be safer in prison (separate wing). LOL

Did OP make two trips upstairs? Stipp says he was outside talking to Stander when he saw OP go upstairs. He asks Stander where the gun is. The response car and ambulance then arrive (both at the same time? Stipp refers to 'they') and, as there's nothing he can do, he leaves. The ambulance arrives at the security gate at 03:41:58. The paramedics announce time of death at 03:50, after which they ask for ID and OP goes upstairs and is followed up by Carice (who hears him walk on the tiled floor). This seems to say he went up twice but I see nothing in Stander's evidence for this. I have always assumed that both instances were in fact the same instance.

Right, I think I may have figured when OP went upstairs for the first time.

When Stander called NetCare at 03:27:06 he is standing outside the house. Dr Stipp comes out whilst Stander is trying to explain directions. Stipp then takes over the phone to explain Reeva's injuries to NetCare before Carice then comes out and gives them directions. The call lasts about 5 minutes according to Stander and the last minute of this may well have been when Carice walks out and talks on the phone. Not sure if Stipp then stays outside talking with Stander until the ambulance arrives. Carice goes back inside after the call.

This leaves OP alone inside the house for the period that Carice is on the phone ... and gives him the opportunity to go upstairs. Stipp spots him going up but clearly neither Stipp nor Stander do anything about it. Carice is busy on the phone and doesn't see him. The activation on OP's phone which I have placed at 03:30 in my phone table (from Moller's chart it's any time between 03:30-03:53) probably tallies with this. In the absence of the actual phone data (I wish!) I'll move that activation to coincide with his trip upstairs. It's beginning to fall into place.

On the second occasion, Stipp has gone home and this time Stander prompts Carice to follow him upstairs.

This is a bit short notice but if you are in the UK Sky has a program (The Pistorius Trial) at 9.30pm today.

Fellow Websleuths - I have something that as of 22:00 GMT - 8th September 2014, I would like to be noted.

Here is a random thought. What if OP's Team have been spending the time since the HOA, weighing up the potential outcomes? What if they have come to the conclusion he is Goosed?

Does anyone think he might be smuggled out of SA before Thursday? I am not sure of my thinking on this yet, does anyone have an opinion?
