I have been debating whether or not to come to this thread, my curiosity got the better of me and I really wanted to read your opinions and reasoning. I have my own opinion, and this thread is not an appropriate place to discuss it, as I will respect the purpose of this thread. That being said, I read everyone's views with an open mind and a couple of posts grabbed my attention.
Those who are on the fence about the decomp. in the trunk, there are a couple of things that may help reinforce your hope for Caylee. Remember when a reporter started to question GA about the test results and the fact that it showed decomposition, and how angry he became? I remember the statement he made very well, because it has haunted me a bit and I can't get it out of my mind. He stated very angrily and matter of fact "Because the person in the back of that car is the one who took my granddaughter"! Why would he say that? OK...I took it as, he acknowleged there was decomp. in the trunk, but it was not Caylee's, but rather the person who took her. I am on dial up still, so I really can't search all the media video's to look for a link for you all...but I am sure those of you with high speed can find that video and view for yourselves.
Also, about the hair strands with death rings found in the trunk...and this will also be argued in court by defense. It is a fact that if a strand of hair or hairs pulled from a "live" person, has enough tissue from the root/scalp still attached and it doesn't take much, the live tissue will start to decompose and could cause death rings in the hair. This "could" be an explanation for the death rings in the hair, found in the trunk. It doesn't prove the hair 100% positively came from that of a deceased body.
This case is so bizzare, and we don't have all the evidence available to us. All we can do is sort through what is out there for us, and form opinions based on the info given us. While some are concluding the worse, and some are holding on to hope that she is still alive, one thing we all have in common is the fact that we all want little Caylee found. I'm glad for this thread, somebody has to have hope for Caylee, and it also shows that there are still people in the world who are waiting for all the facts to come in, before losing that hope. I will admit, if I ever go missing, I hope there are people like you still around who still have hope, until proven otherwise. Hope keeps people looking.
