I have totally fallen off the le wagon, I think the investigation is a mess and they have nothing. I think they called off the search b/c they got good info on where caylee really is and she is alive. there is o other reason for that to happen. baez was talking about a very credible lead that he gave them last week, he said if they didnt follow up that he would realease to the press what it was. so im guessing they followed up on it. maybe caylee is within reach?

well thats a start i guess, but she came to that conclusion somehow. any other info you could pm? this maybe a dumb question, but is enlgish the main language in pr?

Here's another thing I'm working through if anyone has any input. It's involving Dante. Now we know he has a connection to the Lake Vaj crew AND to ZG AND to Sawgrass. I remember reading in the docs that LE left a calling card but he's never turned up to speak to them.

He has left 2 jobs since Caylee has been missing and has moved. But he still has a myspace page, although it's private now. It is possible that he has Caylee, or knows who does, and is hiding out. But how hard would it be for LE to track him through his myspace and get his address, go there and bring him in and get him to give a statement. I've not seen where they've even attempted to find him other than leaving a calling card.

I would love to think that, because that would mean they really are investigating the kidnap or handoff theory, but I don't think they would let it go this far if that were the case.

I have friends from PR...still have family there and visit regularly. they are from Ponce. I'm going to check how close that is to Hatillo. Let me know if there's any further info you can provide on lead. PM if necessary.

Just checked - here's link to google map showing Hatillo and Ponce. My friends might not be best resource given the distance. I'll be happy to check, though, if it would help.

Spanish is the main language, but you can get around in English as most people there speak some English since it's required in school. Many people there are very fluent in English since so many of them have spent time in the U.S., have family there, do business there, many serve in the U.S. Military, etc.

Hmmm.... I don't. Sorry, but I really don't. For one thing, LE said very early on that they plan to "pin this on her" and that's that. They don't even believe the kidnapping story for another thing. And they believe Caylee is dead for yet another thing.

I think they blew this thing big time. I realize that waiting 31 days to report this baby missing did not help out at all. But they, LE, have not followed up on things, have discredited other things. It took Cindy going to the media and complaining to get them to follow up on the Orlando sighting.

That's interesting. I hope it's true. When I was turning up addresses for JPC (the one roommate) in PR I came up with three or four other cities (all along the north/northwest coast of PR heading west from San Juan) for him and his family. I don't know where Hatillo is, I will have to look it up. Of course JPC may have nothing at all to do with the disappearance, but if I were the authorities I would have investigated everything about the roomates and everywhere they went just in case anything could be found out.

I see that you have Kio on there. I definitely think she is a key connection in the theory that Caylee is alive. She was more than shady in her interviews and changed her story a couple of times.

I know, from appearances, it looked like the authorities went straight from investigating the grandparents' house to looking in ponds for a body. I could understand that their experience was making them think Caylee must be dead simply because of Casey's stories not adding up (as they told Casey in the very first interviews), but I prayed in the meantime they've been investigating everyone else behind the scenes, doing forensics in their cars, apartments, etc, just in case. It's hard to believe that they would just talk to the friends, take a statement or leave a card, and leave it at that. Surely not. Why would they take anyone's word at face value? That's not an investigation. I really hope they've been investigating everyone (Kio, all the roommates, all the folks at the club, etc) and every lead.
