The other things I found extremely odd in her [Kio's] statement are:

she saw Casey In April at Walmart, remembered she carried a purse and bla bla bla, However, she can't remember which Casey she talked to 10-11 days earlier?

Next thing ... Kio Lost contact with Casey in April of this year ... same time as "Juliet Lewis" ...

Another thing ... So specific it was a Wednesday ... incredibly insightful there ... "just getting home, just getting changed, playing with my puppy dogs, ... and it was a number I didn't know cause I have Casey's number ...

She remembers specifically the 407 area code, but damned if she remembers which Casey she was talking to?

Next ... Sure um you can borrow money and I'll ask you zero questions as to why you need it ... better yet ... since I know two Casey's .. I won't even ask which one you are. (Gimme a break!)

Next ... Detective: So you would recognize Caylees voice?
Kio: ... Yeah I met her once or twice ... I know I met her once when she was really tiny ...

(How many really tiny babies do you know that say "mommy, mommy, mommy" ????? BTW if you listen to the video with Caylee ... it's clear Caylee has a limited vocabulary, and if it's been as long as KIO says it has since she last saw Caylee, there is NO way, unless she is LYING, that she would know that was Caylee in the background.

Next: She tells detective who asked her: "how is it you came to calling me tonight? ..

Her reply: I came to visit my father from California, who is actually the person who ended up calling me, but I'll get to that later.

maybe she was covering for kc? didn't want to get involved? had second thoughts about telling them kc asked for money? Not trying to say you are wrong, just giving "reasonable doubt". Does anyone know if she has been subpheoned? (sp?) Do you think kc knows , as in willingly gave caylee to her, or something more sinister. please elaborate your theory of her involvement, if you have one.

Investigators cannot afford to make such innocent assumptions when it comes to a missing child, or any other crime for that matter. If someone is being inconsistent, deceitful, and has at least tenuous connections to another person who may be of interest in the case you check it out before you dismiss it. Doesn't mean anything will come of it but you do not assume that and just drop it. I HOPE LE in this case feels the same way.

I don't have a theory as to what her involvement might be. I just think her testimony is too hinky to assume nothing is there.

Probably what KC wishes they would've done with her story LOL I see what you mean, but there has been little to no emphasis placed on any of the friends that were interviewed. Do we know if kio is slated to be a witness for the pros? Or was she just interviewed?

I just got home from work, started dinner, and now I'm catching up on what I missed after I left the office. Since my son is laying on my bed reading a book, I'll have to wait until later this evening to listen.

I am assuming it will not make any difference in my view because all I'm doing is keeping an open mind anyway. Nothing I hear in the recordings is going to make me want to put that little girl in a grave just yet.

I agree with you. I have listen and nothing has changed my mind. I believe in keeping an open mind. Until Casey is charged with murder that little girl is still alive to me. Just don't want to leave any stone unturned.

I just think that Casey had a way out. She could of left Caylee home with her parents and gone on with her own life. Why would she think she wouldnt get caught. Someone posted she liked csi.. bad guys always get caught.... kwim

Has casey lied, yes. The cell phone sims card makes since to me. I have switched phones and realized none of my numbers came over but 5. To bad I lost my phone somewhere in my house.

I wonder why she lied about the job. I want to think she did go there for a reason........I just cant put my finger on it.

Believe me, I want to make some calls, too, because I think I've figured out something big, but not all the details...not all the why's and how's.

But we need to remember this is not the wild, wild West where we can "take the law into our own hands."

As much as we may not always act like it, we are a civilized society with laws and procedures in place to properly and lawfully investigate crimes, bring appropriate charges against the perpetrators of crimes, and conduct trials with judges and juries of peers.

We don't want to mess that up and not have this, or any, forum to help solve the mystery!

I always try to remember these famous words of wisdom: Opinions are like (certain body part)s, everybody has one!
