I am just curious, what do you guys actually thing happened? She sold her off? Abducted? Handed off? Lost? What?

Or a mixture of a few of the choices that you have given, which is what I think.

I think that Casey either gave/sold Caylee back to her bio father, or, that she really did give Caylee to someone, most likely Zenaida to take care of for a month or so while she tried to spite Cindy, and then when she went to get Caylee back, "someone" decided that Casey wasn't deserving of having Caylee back.

I don't put much stock in LE's "leaks", and no, I'm not an "LE hater" and I think for the most part they do their jobs and do them well. This time however, I think they're scrambling and falling all over themselves.

If people who come to this thread are looking for anyone here to give a front-to-back scenario of exactly what happened to Caylee in sequential order, I don't think they're going to find it. I'm just guessing for others, but can speak for myself that that's true. I think whether you believe Caylee is dead, or that Caylee is alive, NONE of us are going to be able to calculate exactly what happened in an organized fashion. This case is just too much of a mess, with too many unanswered questions in either direction.

I really do think that show was to put pressure on Casey.

Just like yesterday's arrest was for show. Baez had originally taken Casey to the other side of the building. He was then sent to the other side of the building to check Casey in for arrest. Could they have gone inside and done that in a civilized and professional manner? Of course not. LE had to meet Baez and Casey OUTSIDE at the car and handcuff Casey.

Grandstanding. Pure grandstanding for the Media and to stir the hate, and believe me, I don't even have words for what I think of Casey and none of them are complimentary, BUT - no matter what, LE should always be aware of conducting themselves in a professional manner, or take the risk of looking as they have been lately which is anything BUT that. It would seem to me that they would want to rise above their suspect, and not imitate her.

Your not irrational at all, I commend you all for hoping against hope. Truth is, there is no right or wrong here, no "payoff". At the end of the day, as it appears, only grief for all of us.
I agree with your frustration on the case, but I can assure you in press land, those 2 statements are the same, just one did not like the quote in print, imo.
There is some ill-perceived vibe here that anyone will feel like people that believe/believed Caylee was alive, and if she is deceased, like their is some sense of elation by those of us who felt it all along.

I speak for myself, but grief and pain are grief and pain regardless of origin. From where I sit, we all love her, want her found, and want the people responsible for what happened to her brough to justice. That makes us on the same team. Team Caylee.

I will keep a look out for SprintDude.

I know that anyone that thinks she's dead would be thrilled to be wrong and probably would gladly take any I told you so's from those that think she's alive---just to see that baby's smile again.

Right or wrong, if she were to come home alive I'd gladly call Casey mother of the year or whatever she wanted to be called. I'm not above bargaining.

O I know, with the exception of giving up my own babies, I would bargain.
So instead, we sit here and be her voice, I know that she hears it wherever she is, at least I believe that.
Standing for Caylee

Does anyone have a reasonable explanation for the decomposition odor in the trunk of Casey's car?

We have statements from 4 different people indicating that the trunk of the car smelled like a dead body

We have 2 Cadaver dogs "hitting" on the trunk

We have the body farm test that confirm "human decomposition"

How does the above information support the theory that Caylee is still alive?

I know this information does not prove that she is dead but they are facts that cannot be ignored

IDK, I didn't smell it.
There's lots of evidence that cadaver dogs aren't always accurate. Examples- Couey, Smart and Maddy McCann cases.

That report hasn't been released to the public and evidence of decomp from a human body could be decomposing blood from a live human body.

I wish I knew, but I'm not sure that LE isn't making these vague references to pressure Casey without actually lying. Doesn't all human tissue and fluid (blood/sweat) decompose ? If I cut my hand and bleed all over my car on the way to the hospital, isn't that blood going to decompose ?

.. and I would write her a blank check and let her have my boyfriend.

I have to say in spite of myself and my tendancy to rationalize, I do have hope that there may be a remote chance that Caylee may still be alive. I do believe that there is always reason to have hope, I just can't say I personally believe. I think this is why I am an agnostic.

I wish that were true, Chic. God Bless this Baby

Investigators had not, until Sunday, disclosed that the decomposing body was, in fact, Caylee.

"The information we've gotten back from the lab that she was in the trunk of that car and that she is dead is certainly something we take seriously," said Orange County Sheriff's Office Sgt. John Allen.

Strong probability?!!? So she's what, kinda dead? They either know that she's dead or that she isn't.

“If any evidence to the contrary is provided, it will be vigorously pursued,” the statement from Capt. Angelo Nieves said."

So she's "probably dead" (not really sure), but then they ask for evidence that she's alive?!? If you're declaring someone dead, you don't turn around and say, 'well if we're wrong, we'd like to know'.

This is exactly why in this case, I haven't the faith in LE that I have had on other cases. They need to at least put that rumor to rest one way or the other and move forward from there. They should be big enough to admit that their testing didn't come back as they'd thought that it would with conclusive evidence that Caylee is dead - no ifs, ands or buts about it, OR, make a clarified statement of fact that Caylee Anthony is deceased.

I'm not expecting LE to show their complete hand prior to arresting Casey, but I think a decisive statement without hedging would bring some calm to this case, in either direction, dead or alive.

These 'events' make me suspect that their evidence isn't as clear as they'd like us to believe.

Well, she's dead unless she's alive I guess.

As a matter of fact, if there was ANY PROOF that there was a dead body in Casey's trunk, why isn't there a homicide investigation ? If they have conclusive evidence that there was a DEAD body in that car, isn't it time to start figuring out the cause of death and shouldn't the family be notified that their family member was gone ?
I don't think the family would believe anything LE says right now without the proof of a dead body having actually been found (sorry). As the A's attorney has said, they're in denial which is their way of coping for the time being.

If she would bring home a live Caylee, the next pic posted here could be mine - kissing her a$$. I'll even give her my 17 year old daughter's boyfriend.

I agree with you that some people feel that way, but I'm certainly not one of them. You only have 2 choices of dead or alive - 50/50 odds of making the right pick. I would never consider an "I told you so" in this case, or any other case.

I hear what you are saying but why should Casey be given any special treatment? If that were anyone else it would have been done the same way. I personally applaud LE for not giving KC anything more than anyone else would get..why should they?

Respectfully BE, I have read your posts and your opinion is clear, which I note you did not comment on the article I posted.
That being said, rarely, there are heroes on message boards and in anywhere in life; Caylee is mine.

I had a couple outstanding tickets in another state. When I finally took care of it, I walked in with a bondsmen who took care of the paperwork while I was 'booked' and then I walked out and didn't go back til my court date.
I didn't have to go outside to get arrested in public and I don't think Casey had to either. They could have easily told her where to show up for booking, wait she already knows.

For one thing that isn't necessarily true. Anyone at anytime can walk into LE's office and turn themselves in - INSIDE the building.

For another thing, I think most agree that Casey is thriving on the attention. She previously made some "I'm a celebrity" comment (paraphrased), and it's clear that she's an attention seeker. One hand here is feeding the other. Casey is thriving on it, and the Media is thriving on it - both doing so for the wrong reasons.

It simply just serves no productive purpose.

I certainly did comment on the article that you quoted, in fact I took excerpts from that article and quoted them in my post.
