Thought and theories on Jeremy

Interesting. Without hearing the 911 call you already know that it will "prove" that DB/JI have changed their "story". You make my point even stronger than I did.

:seeya: I have absolutely NO DOUBT that what Jeremy told 9-1-1 is different than what is being touted today ...

:waitasec: Just had a thought -- and not being "snarky" at all -- just making a point :

Can a leopard change its spots ?

MOO ...

I wouldn't be surprised if you were right. My point was that people will find negative things to say about Jeremy if the 911 call is released. You managed to do it without even hearing the call yet.

So I got to thinking about Jeremy being so focused on that window. If Lisa was abducted, then maybe Jeremy just wants the window to be the entry point to relieve some guilt he's feeling.

If the front door was unlocked, the garage door broken and easy to access the house that way, I'd imagine as the man of the house he's regretting not making sure his home was safe and secure, especially in that neighborhood.

:seeya: True and I do see your point ... but let me say this with respect to Jeremy :

Jeremy's "demeanor" does NOT help him in any way whatsoever. The LACK of emotion from Jeremy IMO is just not "normal" ... he has a BABY MISSING !

I know, there is NO RULE BOOK on how to act when your child goes "missing" ... I totally understand that point ... and people react very differently in different circumstances ...

But add to Jeremy's LACK of emotion, the fact that he and DB stopped cooperating with LE within a few days of Baby Lisa being reported missing, his changing stories about the lights and the window and the front door :rollercoaster: ... it goes on and on and on and on ...

JMO ... but just like Deb, Jeremy is his own worst enemy ...

MOO and all that ...

Idk. .. but if I came home and found my baby missing, I could see why JI would mention the window, but I wouldn't keep putting it out there about the window, because I wouldn't want LE to be distracted from other possible entry points. Basically, I would want LE to investigate ALL possible entrances, so they could figure out the truth.

We know the window had to be mentioned in the 911 call, because the dispatcher mentions it.

At what point did we learn about the neighbor teen with the code to the garage door? Was it after LE investigated the window? Obviously there had to be a conversation about other possible entrances between LE and the parents. When did that happen?

Also, when did we learn about the unlocked front door?

Honestly, to me, the most obvious point of entry for a burglar would be the back door on the deck. Is there also a door to the basement, next to the garage doors? I'd bet those doors were dead bolted.

BBM.
I would hope that LE would not be distracted by a lay persons (JI) opinion of the possible point of entry. I just don't think that KCPD is that inept.

I'm quite sure KCPD would not be distracted by whatever JI said about the window. The window has to factor in some how, though. Just not sure what the signifigance is. If DB or JI tampered with it to make it appear an intruder came in that way, I think they would have done more than just push the screen out a little. Seems they would have taken it completely out, or cut it, or something. They may not be criminal masterminds, but seems like even a stupid person would do more than just push it slightly off track or however it appeared.

I just wonder if this was an ATTEMPTED entry point. Like from a person who may have just assumed the doors were locked, automatically went to the window and started to push in the screen, then realized it wasn't going to work too well. So they started to make a loop around the house, and came across an unlocked door, instant access. Just a thought.

I agree. I've wondered if the front door being unlocked was mentioned immediately or was it mentioned after police questioned the possibility of the window entry? When was the garage door brought up?

I've always wondered why the front window, why not the door on the back deck? Why not the door next to the garage? If I was trying to be stealthy, I would sneak in and out of the back of the house, not the front window facing the street.

I'm really puzzled by how unsecure the house was, especially considering they kept guns and a bat in the master bedroom. It seems like safety & protecting the family was important at some point. Did it become more lax, was DB less concerned about it? IME people who keep weapons handy to fight off potential intruders typically are much more aware of keeping doors locked, etc.

I guess what I meant is that I would just keep my mouth shut. . . .lol. Why keep talking about the window? It's a convincing behavior, IMHO. You are right, LE is going to go on with their investigation regardless. But why does JI feel compelled to talk about it, waffle about it, in interviews?

MOO. . .but if it was me and I didn't have anything to do with my baby's disappearance, I wouldn't be talking about those kinds of details. That could be harmful to the investigation.

I agree it doesn't help him, but some people are just like that. I know two different people that are exactly like that. There are some folks that don't show emotion or don't show emotion publically. Frankly at this point, I'm not sure how else he could act that wouldn't look contrived or faked. You can't change who you are, no matter the circumstances. My friend who carries the same demeanor, keeps his emotions bottled in except in private. But I would never think he doesn't care about things, because I know him.

That is ultimately the problem here. Nobody here knows Jeremy Irwin. Nobody knows the type of person he is, what his hobbies are, had a deep conversation with him, how he acts around friends, etc. All we see is how he acts in front of a camera and because he's quiet, introverted, etc, he's judged by some as not caring about his daughter. IMO, I don't think that's fair, but then again the public isn't fair.

It's just my opinion but I feel that LE would probably ignore Jeremy's comments and just do their job.

And I believe they are.

So why does JI feel compelled to tell the public these details of the investigation? It's with the phones too. Basically, he is floating his own theories. Why?

I agree. I personally think that Jeremy may have been a lot more concientious about doors being locked before bed, windows secured, etc. He probably went around the house at night (remember, normally he did not work night shift) and turned off lights, locked up, etc. He had been a homeowner for quite some time, things like this probably were second nature to him as opposed to DB. I can see Deb possibly not thinking about locking up, even if she hadn't been drinking. She very likely could have left one or more doors unlocked and not even thought about it, as she wasn't used to being the "light turner offer door locker". KWIM?

Another way to look at is a woman alone at home during the night for the first time with her 3 little kids. Kind of spooky so you double check all the doors.

You could look at it that way, also. I personally, have never been "afraid" to be alone. I guess it depends on her personality.

There were a lot of burglaries in that neighborhood that people were saying Jersey did..If I knew my DH was working a night shift and all those burglaries going on-you bet ALL my windows and doors would be locked..Why did Deb NOT lock the door when she went in at 1030!!

My DH works 2nd shift and my doors are locked the min.he leaves-I never leave windows open-you just can't now a days...

Was JI supposed to work his regular job the next day, the 4th? How in the world would he have accomplished working another day without any sleep since the starbucks job took much longer than expected? MOO

We don't know Jeremy and neither does Ron Rugen, but this was his recent reply regarding Jeremy's personality in the RR thread:

I have not met JI. I'm told he is much different off camera and is definitely the head of the household. I do know he never trusted many people. He was always waiting for my to slip up.

I don't think we have ever heard. Maybe this extra job was paying some good money (like a night shift premium or double time) If you need money for your family you do what you gotta do, even if it means little to no sleep.
Plus, I thought he was originally only supposed to be on this job a few hours, which would have gotten him home at a reasonable hour.
