I hope that you're right. But when I spoke with the sheriff, it seemed as if he didn't know much about the case - he wasn't aware of some aspects of it. And it wasn't that he didn't want to tell me, when he didn't want to tell me he knew something he let me know. Which is fine, but I'm just worried. With this case and the Jenna Nielsen case, and no suspects in either...it's just concerning.

Thanks for your input, Emily. Which aspects did he seem unaware of?

The sheriff did not say that Jason is not a suspect or a POI. According to the article, the sheriff said that Jason has not been named a suspect or POI.

Oh Geeez - I missed the most important word (named) in that sentence. Sorry.:blushing:

Jilly,

I don't recall WCSO ever naming Jy as either a POI or a suspect. I think LE has been very careful from the very beginning to not use either of those terms. I see nothing new about this.

You're right RC. The closest Harrison ever came to calling him a suspect was when he said he'd probably be lying if he said no to the fact that jy's relationship with MM put more focus on him as a suspect. I just reread the WRAL archives and no one has ever said he's a POI.

I understand now.:slap:

Shhhhhhhhh. LE may be giving him a false sense of security, so he will take a depo for insurance. :)

MOO and stuff.

Hmmmmm! This makes sense!

ETA: The deposition Justin Barber gave to his wife's insurer was the single most incriminating piece of evidence against him.

I didn't follow the Barber case. Thanks for that tidbit snowshuze!

She told the world on the 911 tape!

She sure did Taximom. IF I remember correctly, you and I were on here with a few others when the 911 tape link was posted. I know what I heard the precious child say. ;)

Hey philamena! I find this really hard to believe - this Sheriff has always maintained that they're looking at everyone. He also knows jy did it. So for him to say that he's not a POI - I don't believe it.

Phew, thanks for responding jilly! lol I thought I was loosing it.
Don't you think LE should have enough evidence for an arrest by now?

Nope...just me losing it! It happening regularly these days!:D

They've probably got enough for an arrest but not for a conviction. I think they need someone credible to place him at the house or in the area during the early hours.

:twocents: Hi Everyone! I just have to add, YES! I know what she said too!
I remember playing the 911 tape for my husband and one of my son's to listen to, and without giving a background of the case at all to them, I asked them what they heard the little girl saying in the tape...

They both said, " The little girl said, " Daddy did it. "

Can all of us be wrong in what we have heard?

A child at the age of 2 or 3 years is very honest. Very. Very. Honest.

Keeping candles lit and prayers going for Michelle and her unborn baby!
Someone needs to pay for this senseless crime.

I can still hear her sweet little voice asking for a washcloth and telling what happened.

I see things are still moving at a snail's pace in NC.

Hi Taximom!
I agree. That little cherub like voice is so so sweet.

My heart breaks for this little girl, who stayed with her dead mommy's bloodied, bludgeaned corpse for goodness knows how long.
And, her fretting over the many boo boos on her mommy, and wanting to clean the blood off of her mommy.

Just so sad.
I think of little Cassidy so often.
And I just wonder what type of issues and problems this child will battle for all of her life, because of this most horrible event!

If she's getting closer to her daddy, it will be more traumatic when justice is served, don't you think? :( :( She's going to need a lot of therapy eventually, especially if she's not getting any now.

I wish he and his family had the decency to do the right thing.

Isn't that the truth? I really really thought this case would have an arrested murderer by this late date.

Very very sad.
I can't imagine how michelle's mother has endured these months.
what a nightmare!

good to " see " you, j2mirish!

I agree! Poor baby will be doubly doomed when " justice is served ".
Her mommy's completely removed from her life, and she doesn't understand where she is, what happened to mommy, and then her daddy's gone too. Yes, that would be a horrible event for anyone, but a little child, whose mind, whose feelings, and thoughts are still being formed, just emerging, now that will result in some major problems down the road of life, I am afraid!

As for JY being the loving and caring nurturing father, I just can't see it! I do wonder how much a part of her life he really is! Seems ole Jason's priorities were not always real fatherly. Though he may be really putting on a good showfor his family!

Yes, I wish the whole Young family would just do the right thing... I won't hold my breath on that one!:snooty:

Hey SM!:)

There was discussion about this on the other site and one poster brought up that she may appear normal and seem to forget about her mother but there would be this underlying sense of abandonment. Psychologically damaging. Can't remember exactly how the poster described that except to add -the fact that she had been with her loving, nurturing mother everyday of her life - singing Twinkle Twinkle every nite to her and suddenly.....gone.:( It's just heart breaking.

If she loses her dad too that will have another effect because she'll be a bit older. Poor kid. And then who would get custody of her, I wonder. JYs younger sister according to MYs will or LF who I'm sure would want her away from that family? I guess, if the sister was looking after her for the next couple of years, she'd have a good chance of getting custody of Cassidy because by then, I'm sure she would have adjusted and it might be in her best interest not to be ripped away (in the eyes of the Court). What a mess this will be.

You noted I wrote "If", right? I think he's a cold fish and I think you are spot on about him. Probably the only reason he's staying close to her is to "help" her remember what happened that night.
:liar: :loser: :liar:

Hopefully Cassidy is getting the love and support she needs from the others in that family. I know they know in their hearts who killed Michelle and the unborn child.

This is my opinion of the situation.

Thanks, philamena. Reading that search warrant reminded me of how cold and heartless he was by sending Meredith to find Michelle dead on the bedroom floor.
