Susan Clairmont in court today. Can't link, on my phone.
Would you have expected LE to announce that statement after DM's arrest when LE knew there was still one other person on the lam, who was seen on surveillance?
Yes I believe it went something like that but they were not only referring to MS, DM was already behind bars so he was no longer a threat/danger to the public either. I assume by the time of MS's arrest, two weeks of investigating, LE felt pretty confident there were only two suspects involved. MOO.
We believe the danger has subsided, Kinsella said, despite a third suspect still being sought, about whom police say they encourage that individual to turn himself in.
Today's trivia, DM's middle name is Evan http://slexy.org/view/s2X6gyMgUT
Interesting that the case is listed for both DM and MS as "R. v MILLARD ET AL" and not "R. v SMICH ET AL"
I wonder what MS's middle name is, did anyone sleuth that yet?
Mark Daniel Smich, 25, looked gaunt and agitated when brought into court in leg shackles Thursday morning, where he was formally accused of being the second man involved in the high-profile murder case of Tim Bosma.
I guess they've now determined who had the "leadership" role in the crime.
MOO
Perhaps irrelevant but I wonder who took the picture of DM and MS and DM's blue Nova?
Well I wonder what DM's lawyer wanted to say without the public and press present? I wonder if any members here went to the pretrial motions and changed their minds about DM and MS and their roles in what happened? I guess we'll see. JMO
I wonder why, then, at that time, LE announced that they were still looking for a third suspect and encouraging the third person to turn themself in.

Here's what I can say about pre-trial motions in the #Bosma murder case today: #Millard lawyer wanted room empty for argument. Motion denied

Just finishing for the day at #Bosma pretrial motions. Sealing/exclusion order requested but not granted. Publication ban in effect.
IMO LE believed, at the time, that DM and MS were dropped off at TB's house by at least a third person driving the Yukon. The Yukon was not seen in video surveillance when TB's truck was captured in Brantford. Therefore LE did not believe that the occupant(s) of the Yukon were involved in the murder, just in getting the two suspects to TB's home. Which is why after the second suspect, whom they believed to have been in the truck on the test drive, at that time, was apprehended, they felt the danger to the public, which was the TWO suspects who left with TB on the test drive, had been alleviated.
What I'd like to know is if SB ever said that she saw both DM and MS get into the truck and drive away with TB. Or did she go in the house before they left? Maybe MS never got in the truck and walked back up the driveway to get into the hidden Yukon?

She got a quick look at the two visitors as the three men left, just before 9:30 p.m. — her husband dressed in dark blue jeans, work boots and a long-sleeved shirt.
The duo met Bosma at his Ancaster home and the three went for a test drive Monday night.
Mr. Bosma, a 32-year-old father, went missing after taking two men who had arrived at his home in Ancaster, Ont., to test drive his 2007 Dodge Ram pickup truck.
The 32-year-old father was killed after going on a test drive with two men on May 6 in a truck he posted for sale online.
