I don't know. At no point did they say she got a quick look as the three men got into the truck to take a test drive. I guess that's just another thing we'll have to wait for trial to find out. Did MS actually get into the truck and then possibly get let out at the end of the driveway? Or did TB think he was only going on a short drive with one of the two and the other was staying behind to wait for them to return?

How did she get a look at them when they were in the truck? Perhaps she got a look at them as they were walking towards the truck. So perhaps she did not see all of them get in the truck.

And we shouldn't just assume what MSM is saying when they really aren't saying it at all. No where in MSM does it say that DM and MS were seen getting into TB's truck with him. They all agree that they were told the three men went on a test drive. None of them have a direct quote from the only person who would know for sure other than the accused.

Did anyone ever find any employers for MS yet? Do we have any idea how he supported himself? Did either of his parents have a company he could have worked for or do we think that they supported him financially? If he didn't have a job, I wonder if he was receiving any government assistance? That might give us a clue who is paying for his lawyer, his family or us?

I found the name of MS's mother in connection with teacher's college, completed 1969 (initially searched "Audrey Gleave"). Since I found her name, I'm interested to know whether MS's mother could have been this person.

At the video link here, CTV shows a specific area in the woods and the camera zooms in. This is from the Ayr property farm, I believe. There is a large tarp on the ground. I don't remember seeing this footage before. Starting @0:29.

Thanks Swedie, it almost sounds like his parents had no idea what he was up to, they didn't know who he was friends with or even where he was living. I would guess that means that they weren't supporting him, or they would at least know where he was living, in my opinion.

IIRC shortly after WM's murder in December had been living at his mother's house.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm assuming Mr. Smich knew by this time DM had been arrested and charged with TB's murder, therefore he was in denial that his son would choice to chum with a murderer. BTW Mr. Smich had just seen his son the weekend before at his daughter's wedding and claimed MS seemed normal. He obviously knew his son well enough to differentiate between normal and abnormal kwim. MOO.

Earlier this week, on the one-year anniversary of the disappearance of Tim Bosma, a case I have been writing about, I was interviewed by a radio host who described Madeleine Burns, the mother of one of the accused murderers, Dellen Millard, as the only sympathetic character associated with the defence. Since the public knows almost nothing about Burns and how she raised her son, I was struck by his reaction which seems to be quite a common one.

Apparently MS's mother told CTV News that MS lived with his girlfriend.

CTV News Toronto at 6, the reporter said she had MS name last week and called his mother's house in Oakville. When the reporter asked for MS, the mother said he lived with his girlfriend. Then the reporter asked the mother if she knew DM and the mother hung up.
