I would choose rural roads myself, as I don't much like driving in traffic; and I would have to slow down or stop much less often.

Soothing the 'mommy' very often soothes the baby.

I was wondering about the state of her home when Kaine got home. If it is usually 'mess', was it very clean? If she were expecting there would be police there, did she clean it extra? If it were usually neat, was it messy? Hurrying home and no time to clean as usual? Did Kaine have a sense walking in the door that there was something different..

I did take long drives when my kids were babies, but more for fussy irritable colicky babies.

I am following all the theories here, many of them are very good, but I don't know why, I just can't seem to make them fit.

Have to admit, I used to drive my daughter around when she had colic. It was the only thing that would let her sleep (until I found a Dr that prescribed paregoric). It was so awful to watch her cry, hold her, pat her back, nothing worked, I did what ever I could to let her get some rest. The car seemed to sooth her. Guess the motion of it. I would drive for about 2 hours when needed.

sbm

even w/o a sick baby. Get to gym at 11:39. Work out for about an hour. Pick up baby at childcare (another 5-10 mins. minimum from gym area to child care, gathering baby and her things, signing out, walking to car). Drive 11 miles home -- not on the freeway, so at 50 mph max. or less with stop signs and/or traffic lights, I'm guessing. Unload baby and self and maybe gym stuff from car. Was there a shower or at least a change of clothes in there somewhere? When did baby eat? Get her diaper changed? Nap? etc. On the computer and completed uploads from camera -- all in less than approx. 41 minutes from leaving gym? At a minimum, she's much more efficient than I am!

Why did she not mention taking the groceries home?
Surely she didn't drive around for nearly two hours, go the the gym for an hour, while leaving the groceries in the truck? Do they have a fridge/freezer in the truck?
She bought nothing that needed to go in a fridge?

hmm

Terri's timeline is incredibly "invented". Does she think she was smarter than Casey.
Terri could only have carried out her plan if she was able to get Kyron out of school without being detected. It appears that she thought she had outwitted everyone.
The driving around on rural roads with the baby for an hour and a half, as the baby had an earache. Can anyone believe driving an auto around with a screaming baby for that length of time. Why? Nope, don’t believe ya on that one, Terri.
Maybe she already had a location in mind for her next act. I believe that she murdered Kyron in a spot away from the truck, luring him with some pre-conceived promise of a wonderful surprise. She had to use a well-concealed remote location, where she probably strangled poor defenseless innocent Kyron. She then had to then leave for a bit so she could have “proof” that she was shopping.
After she got her proof of purchases, she went back to find a final place for Kyron, one which would most likely be underwater to avoid the decomp detection. I do not believe she was foolish enough to risk driving around with his body in the truck. I am sure that she thought she was smart, and thought she had a lot of CSI knowledge so that her plan was going smoothly. It is possible that she placed his body in some sort of receptacle or bags, and added weights to keep it underwater.
The timing with Terri’s friend is puzzling. DeDe disappeared from her landscaping job from about 11:30 to 1:00, no explanations given. Even was absent from the lunch invite. Maybe she did switch vehicles with her friend. Did, as someone already suggested, Terri hand over baby K to her friend and ask her to go to the gym for an hour, using Terri’s ID membership. If I were that friend I would be on the phone with a lawyer and 'splaining" my innocent part in this as Terri told me it was just a big joke she was playing on someone. I bet that Terri's friend's vehicles were searched and checked out. I can’t see where that friend comes into the picture, but she must really be “sweating it out” now. Why else would Terri have chosen to go to the gym at that location? With a sick baby, no less.
This is such a bizarre case. I believe that a motive for revenge can surpass all sane reasoning powers, and turn one's heart blood to ice.
Sorry if I rambled on, as none of these excuses make sense to me, and this evil plot sickens as it thickens.
This is all IMO.

Driving around 1.5 hours would use a heck of a lot of gas. Surely they can check with Kaine about gasoline purchases and amount left in the tank, match all that with cell phone pings, and figure something out. Driving that long with a cranky ear achey kid then going directly to the gym is ridiculous. What about taking a child in pain back home or the dr.'s office. Even if she gave a dose of tylenol it only takes about 30-45 minutes to take effect. I'm sure a toddler in pain really wants to sit strapped into a car seat and ride that long, not. But, half that 1.5 hours time could be waiting for tylenol to make the child fall off asleep and be out of the way for something else to go down.

1) Wanting the white truck in order to bring back the project - but not actually bringing the project back - the whole reason for arguing your need for the truck

2) Driving around in rural roads with a really very weak excuse - if Kyron is finally found in a rural area THEN

That definitely shows some serious planning IMO (and not losing it...or an accident happening...or...and or...) if she actually has done something to Kyron. Because if she did she had already selected the place and she knew she would need the truck.

As for admitting to driving around in rural roads with such a weak excuse - versus going back home for example with the child is because you are afraid that someone might have seen you out there - or your cell pings forced you to admit you have been out there - so you have to admit you have been in the area and find a ''plausible'' excuse. IMO It is all very Casey Anthony yeah I have been in the bars looking for the nanny. I wonder did the earpain went away driving around so after a while she can go to the gym?

I don't get what's so unusual about driving the baby around and why everyone is assuming the baby was sick?
At that age, they're cutting their second year molars and always yanking on their ears and fussing. She probably wanted to go work out so she drove the baby around to get her to go to sleep so she could carry her in the gym asleep and put her right in a crib at the day care.

I've actually seen a lot worse things happen than taking a cranky toddler with an earache to the gym. We were waiting in line, in the pouring down rain, freezing our @sses off for 3 hours waiting for the mall to open on Black Friday... there was this lady with 3 kids ahead of us. All 3 were under 5 y/o and one was a 6 month old baby... dressed in a pair of thermal pajamas. No umbrellas, no baby bunting or coat or even a hat.. just the jammies and a blanket.
Every time I go somewhere, I always see someone with a young toddler with a trail of snot coming out their nose or hacking everywhere. People DO take their sick kids out to places... it's really not that uncommon.

ETA: She might have taken the truck to bring the project to and from school... but what if the teachers told her that they wanted to leave the projects up until the end of the day? She thought that she could bring it home after the science fair, but they could have told her that it was going on until late morning so they wanted them to stay set up until the end. She had no idea what time Kaine was supposed to come home so maybe she wanted to keep the truck in case she had to pick up the project later? Just sayin..

At least it would be an hour away from the cranky baby, a moment's respite. But do they agree to care for a cranky toddler with an earache at the gym day care? Places might vary and it was just for an hour but some daycare workers I know would call the parents to come get their child right away if they notice s/he is not well.

Well I guess for me it comes down to everyday stuff is everyday stuff, but when something abnormal happens, that everyday stuff has a different meaning. For instance, a husband having an affair doesn't make him a murderer. But if his wife disappears during that time, his affair takes on a different meaning.

As I understand it, TMH is the one who is claiming she drove the baby around on rural roads for 1 1/2 hours because the baby had an earache, we are not assuming anything about the baby being sick...But I'm calling BS..
IF thats the best alibi she can think of, then she needs to give it up and tell the truth as to what her involvement is in Kyron's disappearance....JMO

Maybe but IMO if she had this kind of conversation with the teacher it would have been natural for her to ask or for the teacher to say when she could pick up the project and there would have been no reason to email and ask about it.

I thought maybe she had planned to stay at the science fair until the regular classes started but she had to leave because the baby was fussy and couldn't take the project with her. But I dunno about that because she didn't go straight home with the fussy baby nor driving the country roads to calm her, she went shopping which is not something I love to do with a fussy ill baby. In two stores, for more than an hour, even, which does not sound like it was just a quick trip to catch some urgently needed supplies from the closest available store as quickly as possible.

She could have said to Kyron stay here I'll be right out. And left him in the truck.
As far as her hurting Kyron, hate to write this.. but it doesn't take long to push him in the water and just leave...

I hope Dede had her cell with her to. Lets see...LE has it for a few days now...maybe LE will find out something from it.

I haven't read the whole thread yet so this has probably been stated already. She could have driven/walked him into some deep woods and abandoned him there. From the looks of the maps in that area, there are so many wooded and forested areas. IMO they can't have searched them all yet. If it's even possible...

After sleeping on this "timeline" and now reading all the posts to catch up, I have one word.

LUNCH

This timeline goes from 8:45 to 1:20 and no where in there does it even mention LUNCH. Now, of course, TH wouldn't have had to have lunch but what about the baby?

Why does TH not talk about LUNCH anywhere? What she ate, what the baby had, where they ate? You don't go from 8 in the morning to 1:30 in the afternoon without feeding a baby lunch!!!!!

And with what we know from KH about getting home and kissing baby and "getting something to eat" and then going to his home office - then when was baby fed LUNCH?

Guess nobody ate lunch that day huh.

hmm

On June 4th, the weather was in the mid fifties, not hot at all. I use recyclable insulated bags for all my frozen foods, meats and milk to keep them cool. I can also see Terri buying tylenol at the store and dosing baby K and then driving around awhile until it took affect. I like to look at houses for sale, so perhaps she she'd seen one in the paper and took this time, while baby K settled down, and drove back roads to view it. Baby K wakes up feeling better and she heads over to the gym.

Yes, the news story reads lurid with details, but that is the problem! We don't know all the details such as her cell phone pings and store surveillance and debit card use. So our minds travel to different scenarios using preconceived ideas to bolster our theories.

I can't justify 2+2=4 just yet.

I guess Terri might have skipped lunch (trying to get in shape?) and if the baby was really sick she might not have had much appetite and she could have rejected whatever she was offered while on the road.

About driving around waiting for tylenol to work ... truly (the distraction of driving) makes sense to me. I've been there, done that.

20-30 minutes ...maybe more if she finally falls asleep from the screaming and you want her to have a little rest... keep driving. I'd probably not drive that much myself, I'd pull over and maybe get some sun or read while baby napped. Terri might drive and call all her friends while the baby slept - make plans... If baby napped she might be able to enjoy day care during the work out ...

I don't really love it for a story - but a mother's unstructured day would permit it. I was there once. Both my girls had ear infections oh sooooo often...to this day I know it takes 24 minutes for the tylenol to work while they cry... and then, they are all worn out poor things...

This is the anti post to my above post. And where I get on the timeline fence, I suppose...

Kaine should know if the baby was sick that day. LE should know if the baby was on meds and saw the doctor for her ears...

:)
My grandson had chronic earaches/infections. The doc didn't put him on antibiotics right away each time, often it was (or at least started out as) a viral thing. And she wouldn't take him in unless he met the criteria his pediatrician required. Used to be they'd slap a kid on antibiotics for any ol' thing. Nowadays they are much more cautious and only do so if they are sure there's a bacterial infection brewing.

Maybe Terri bought baby K her favorite food while she was at the grocery store.

TMH also told the teachers Kyron had a Dr appt that morning. If he did why didnt she take the baby along too if she had an earache?? So double BS!!

That makes sense - but why even take the baby out that day?

It may seem normal to some people to drive around with a sick baby, but I never took a sick child out with me unless I absolutely couldn't avoid it. And the stuff she was doing that day doesn't sound like an emergency - it just makes her look even more selfish.

If she's going to lie, then she should lie to make herself look good, not bad. I agree with others who have said she is trying to fit her activities to the cell phone ping locations and timeline.
