Hi, I’m a 43 yo Australian and I’m looking to create an investigative podcast looking into what my late father and or his connections may have been involved in. I’m approaching it with very little information other than that which I’ve been told by ex-step family members, my own personal memories of questionable moments from childhood and an overwhelming gut feeling that my dad was involved in more than we his family and friends may know.
As for the nature of what I’m suspicious of my dad being involved in, embarrassingly and extremely regrettably I believe are to do with child abuse and or the sharing of content involving child abuse. In no way am I stating my father is guilty of the above suspicions, nor am I able to verify or prove these allegations. Hence why I’m embarking on documenting research into my dad’s history and why I’m here asking for any assistance on where to start.
I’ve reconnected with people who are family members of a victim who are willing to share more information but I wanted to ask if anyone has any information on how and where to begin searching for previous convictions or arrests as in any criminal history of my fathers.
My father (whose name I won’t publicise at present), lived and travelled between Australia and the United States after his 30s into his 60’s however was raised by his adopted family in Southern California until such time.
I know this is a long shot and may not be seen but I thought given the work that I’ve heard websleuths members contribute to the many true crime cases I’ve heard of, I thought I’d try here.
