Spangler noted that investigators believe that the two knew each other and there is no active threat to the community.

The victim and the suspect have not been publicly identified.

“I’m not going to give any names out. I’m asking that you all give this family some time,” Spangler said. “Just out of courtesy, I’m not going to give a name. I think they deserve that.”
