He seems to ne adapt at evading the cops! Crazy as a fox. Anyone with expertise on premediated murder and schitzophrenia? He seemed organized enough to commit crimes but also crazy enough to show up naked. Is it an act? Do we know if he is really crazy or extremely intelligent and is playing the part? Is he a psychopath with high IQ?

IMO the past that we know is really congruent with the illiness

for it to be all this big plan he would have had to start planning months and months and months ago

dropping by the white house for a visit is delusional not connected to reality

pulling up to a cop at a light to explain talking speakers is congruent with the illness

Taylor Swift coming after some random guy in Tenn is not connected to anything real

having the notion that folks don't think he is male and needing to show such is congruent with a disconnect with reality

mental illness does not equal stupid - the notion that it is a all or nothing deal is not accurate and left over from B movies!

Bundy Dahmer were more in the personality disordered and cunning

these folks of late are more organically ill there neurotransmitters are not in the proper mix

some neurotransmitters excite others

when they are in the wrong combo problems arise

identical to diabetes there are problems with too much or too little

but with neurotransmitters there are 4 core ones that need to be somewhat in harmony

the brain is an organ like any other

IMO if one notices the white house thing did not escalate -- they did not engage in a long drawn out your not going in to the white house they oriented him you can take a tour then arrested him .

Often if done well they can be calmed -- does not mean that they right then dont think Taylor isnt after him but they can be soothed

it is usually kinda of like a broke record when he would repeat taylor is there you just tell them again you are in the CVS parking lot we are here your safe we wont let anyone or anything hurt you

Core thing is remain highly aware at the end of the day they are scared - really scared it is scary for anyone to think that someone is out to harm them delusional or not.

IMO I have seen lay people and family members endlessly tell them what is true to them in the moment is not true - that does nothing but escalate them. Look at how crazy the pool got the lifeguards were not trained to deal with delusional folks and it escalated. moo

talking in real soft voice is also very helpful making eye contact if ok putting a hand on their shoulder can be helpful

only ONE person talks -- how would you like to be screamed at by 5 different people when you are scared to death

So, police were involved in a rush hour chase days before the shooting. Did police capture and arrest the person driving the stolen BMW, or did they just let him go his merry way? Seems a part of this story that is important is missing???

No capture or arrest. they halted chase due to rush hour traffic. Car was later found in HIS apt. complex parking lot

and now the video from car lot proves it was him.

Knowing his problems, I just can't get past his parents assisting him (car, truck, insurance, acquiring multiple weapons, jobs, paycheck, apt.) to go out and pretend he is normal and safe in public.

In a previous day and age he would have already been dispatched to eternity. Oh well...better to spend millions probing his mind and years or even decades of 'treatment' rather than consider him an evil mass murderer who should simply do hard time for the rest of his miserable life.

We have cancer treatment centers. We have diabetes programs.

Our system is so effed. A lot of people seem to have a hard time believing there is no help. It always comes up -- they should have had him institutionalized.

There are no institions. Does anyone know where there are open beds for long term chronically ill residential placement?

Nope.

I tried endlessly and I am trained as time passed it became there is nowhere to put people who need help. That requires beds, trained staff == $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

We don't know yet what if anything they did try but none of it can match the reality. It is a lifelong illness. There is no cure.

I think big Pharm endless commercials on psyc meds has been so dangerous to our society. They give the false notion that it is curable. It is not. It can be mitigated when it is really neurotransmitters.

When someones parent dies it is normal to be depressed. How it works. Now they give out an anti depressant.

An antidepressant is not going to do anything for a person who is grieving -- their neurotransmitters are fine . They are human.

This is all bi pharm and money. Think about it -- do any of us see endless diabetes meds being launched every week (after spending millions in clinical trials) . No WHy ? Cause for the most part what is out there works.

It is a racket. But it creates the expectation from others around the person suffering that they are supposed to go back to normal whatever that is .

We need long term residential treatment facilities/homes.

Its all about money, and the social media aspect .

What freaks me out about using vehicles is it is instructive to turn your wheel or slam on your brakes to avoid slamming into stuff -- much more other humans. I dont get how they do it.


IMO it is akin to holding a red hot iron on your hand -- how do they reflexively not turn the wheel or put on the brakes?

Sadly during Nice i stumbled across a 37 second video that was shot by someone right before he/she jumped out of the way.

BUT for that 36 seconds you could hear the noises -- the noises were just horrific. I cant imagine what the noises were like IN the cab.

This sounds awful but I do think witnessing vehicle attack is different trauma wise than a gunshot.

Gunshot people go down.

People and things flying all over the place has got to be nothing other than horror, Seeing a vehicle not doing anything to avoid stop BUT be aiming adds another horror to this .

We need money and education (like the old drugs seat belts drinking driving ads) .

Anyone else notice a pattern of troubled teens, young adults to full grown adults (males) that have many brushes with the law, none of which result in any real consequences and then turn out to become mass shootings or violent criminials?
I'm perplexed at how they can seem to evade any jail time.
Are the parents bailing them out? or LE unable to actually press charges that stick?

Most stuff is plead out --- the justice system is buried and underfunded. The focus is not about justice it is about getting them in and out of the system.

That is pleading out to lesser charges that have no jail time.

I would imagine the Waffle House incident would never have happened had he been arrested. I’ve never heard of a pursuit being halted because of rush hour traffic!!!

Thanks CARIIS for your empathetic insight. don't know if you have children but as a parent I believed one of my jobs

in rearing my children, was to turn them into being good citizens and to lead healthy, productive and happy lives.

I believed it was my role to insure they would not be a threat or hindrance on others in society. My job as a parent was

to teach them all the little intricacies of becoming a law abiding person of good morals and to cause no harm to others.

I would also like to get into the father's brain and have him explain his thoughts on turning his kid loose on society

with 4 guns and a messed up brain. I just can't fathom his kind of thinking or not thinking. It's beyond my comprehension.

Schizophrenics can be highly intelligent. They can plan crimes just as those without schizophrenia. There was recently a serial shooter in OH who had schizophrenia. Of course we don't know what TR actually has, but it has been reported that he exhibited paranoid delusions. Here is the article on the schizophrenic shooter.
