"Newly released surveillance footage has provided a vital clue in the search for Sebastian Rogers.

The 15-year old boy from Tennessee has been missing since February last year.

Video obtained by private investigator Steve Fischer, working with Sebastian's mother and stepfather, shows a figure appear at 12.17am on the night of his disappearance. "

Video obtained by private investigator Steve Fischer, working with Sebastian's mother and stepfather, shows a figure appear at 12.17am on the night of his disappearance.

The footage is from a street located a single block from Sebastian's Sumner County home, prompting investigators to believe it may hold critical information.

The surveillance footage also captured a dog walker passing by shortly before the unidentified figure.

'It's definitely a person,' said Fischer. 'It looks like a thin person wearing dark clothing walks down south on Kellyn Lane behind a vehicle. And it appears like he or she is trying to stay out of eyesight of the person walking their dog.

'They go behind this car for a little while then they turn around and come back the same way they came from.'

Very difficult to really see anything.

However --- What if it's Sebastian ????
Imo.

I am pretty sure LE said this video was investigated early on and found to be unrelated to Sebastian's disappearance.

Oh, ok, thanks.
It was the first time I'd heard of it.

I believe they said this upon the recent release of the video.

In any case, it's so hard to see anything in the video that I can't imagine it would be useful.

Exactly. SF's video was deemed unrelated by police 72 hours after this boy disappeared.

The Bounty Hunter has been notably silent of late.

Where is Sebastian?

Very strange for him. He is not usually quiet. I'd like to think they are working on leads but other than the youtubers discussions, I don't think there has been any real leads.

As much as I hate to say it, I hope there is some closure in this case. He crosses my mind daily.
He was identified as Cody Ramsey Dearing

It was mentioned that SR did not have access to the internet, but he was allowed to play games online. It made me think about the Shawn H. case from years ago. Maybe this has already been mentioned but curious if SR met someone online playing games and was picked him up that night? All speculation.

This long without a peep. What are the hypotheses? Misadventure? Bad actors?

Curious where everyone’s head is at on this case. What happened to Sebastian? Did he leave on his own that night? Or ….

I have followed this case some what. And when someone posted the video I really thought it was going to be a break but didn't produce any results. I have always thought the step father and mother know more. JMO

It's never added up to me that he left on his own and yet has managed to leave absolutely no trace of himself behind anywhere.

On Friday, May 23, Seth spoke with News 2 at the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office. Frustrated and emotional, he said he feels like he’s carrying the weight of the investigation alone.

“I don’t even know, if a tip comes in, if I shouldn’t track it down because I don’t know if they can do their job properly because so far, they haven’t…Their lack of communication with the public, their lack of communication with me is all telling me that they don’t care that my son is missing,” Seth explained.

Seth told News 2 only one detective is actively assigned to the case, adding that he is often left to chase down the same leads also sent to law enforcement.

If he had left of his own accord, how far really could he have gone? I haven't looked at the family's home in a while - is it very rural? I recall it being more suburban. Public transport typically has cameras and I assume these would've been chased up, if that was even available near to the home. House CCTV from the area would've been searched, too. And I'm only considering Sebastian leaving on his own WITHOUT a plan - meaning no prior arrangements or meeting somebody online who would 'pick him up'. I guess my mind is still open to three options, each with their own questions.
a) Family is involved: Where and when did they hide Sebastian? What about the evidence, too? Why mention the bump sound upstairs? How have the police not found anything?

b) Sebastian left, without any planning, to run away: How did he get far enough to not be found yet? Which direction would he go to not be seen on any CCTV? Why did he run away? Where would he be running to? What did he bring with him? Is the bump noise related to that? Would he have stopped to sleep somewhere that night, e.g. a forest?

c) Sebastian made arrangements or came into contact with somebody online: Have all of his devices been checked? How would police not trace that? Did he pick Seb up, or live locally?

MOO.
